Abstract

One of important skill in 21st century education is literacy skill, specially in vocational school students that should be ready to enter the job world. The problem that is happening now is Indonesian students’ literacy skill is still low, so is the reading interest. The objectives of this study are to explore the implementation of school literacy program, to analyze the students’ reading interest, to identify the problems in school literacy program, and to arrange the improvement of school literacy program. This study conducted in two vocational schools in Bandung City. The method used is qualitative method with technique observation, interview, and questionnaire distribution. The results of this study are all two schools have implemented school literacy program well, the condition of students’ reading interest at three school is in good condition, the problems in school literacy programs is about time management and teachers’ quality, and it can be implemented community based school literacy program to develop the program. The conclusion is the government together with schools need to develop the community based school literacy program to improve the quality of program and increase the students’ reading interest

Abstract

Sinergitas sekolah dengan pemerintah, masyarakat dan dunia usaha/ industri menjadi salah satu kunci keberhasilan pengembangan life skill dalam mendorong kesempatan yang sama bagi siswa disabilitas di dunia kerja sehingga mereka bisa hidup mandiri di tengah keterbatasan yang dimiliki. Mengingat sumber daya yang dimiliki lembaga pendidikan sangat terbatas, maka sinergitas sekolah dengan berbagai pihak tersebut menjadi hal yang tidak bisa dipungkiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis manajemen kerjasama sekolah dalam melaksanakan pendidikan life skill pada siswa disabilitas. Jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) ini menggunakan siklus RD dari Borg Gall. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada Kepala Sekolah Luar Biasa, perusahaan, dan orang tua siswa disabilitas. Validasi model dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion dengan melibatkan beberapa Sekolah Luar Biasa dan dunia usaha/industriyang ada di Kabupaten Subang serta pemerintah daerah setempat. Uji coba kelayakan model secara terbatas diberlakukan pada beberapa Sekolah Luar Biasa di Subang di antaranya yaitu SLB Waliwis Putih dan SLB Trituna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis sinergitas sekolah dengan pemerintah, dunia kerja dan masyarakat berkaitan dengan keterpaduan kurikulum sekolah dengan pendidikan life skill, pengelolaan pendidikan life skill pada siswa disabilitas, manajemen kerjasama sekolah, serta peran kepala sekolah dalam membangun kerjasama (sekolah) dengan pemerintah, dunia kerja dan masyarakat. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sinergitas sekolah, pemerintah, dunia kerja dan masyarakat akan berdampak optimal jika peran kepala sekolah memiliki kompetensi kewirausahaan yang mumpuni sehingga mampu memanfaatkan semua sumber daya yang ada berdasarkan cost benefit analysis yang tepat dalam mengelola pendidikan life skill untuk siswa disabilitas.

Abstract

Kepala Sekolah selaku pemimpin di jalur pendidikan formal memerlukan kemampuan dalam membangun relasi yang baik dengan para guru, tenaga kependidikan, orang tua serta siswa. Dari hasil pengamatan lapangan, masih terdapat jurang pemisah antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keterbangunan relasi dalam lingkungan kerja. Artikel ini dibuat untuk menggambarkan pentingnya peran kompetensi komunikasi kepala sekolah dalam membangun relasi demi mewujudkan tujuan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Nasional berdasarkan studi dokumentasi.

Abstract

An elementary school quality success is strongly influenced by the teaching performance of teachers. To achieve this success requires a strong foundation from the teachers, including the leadership of the principal. For elementary schools in Lebak Regency, this is a challenge for teachers in Lebak Regency to produce good school quality standards. This study aims to analyze the effect of discipline, motivation, school facilities and principal leadership on teacher teaching performance which has an impact on the quality of elementary schools in Lebak Regency, so as to determine the success rate of discipline, motivation, school facilities, and leadership given by the principal. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in Lebak Regency, a total of 775 people. Due to the limitations of distance and time, the sampling in this study was using the purposive random sampling method, thus obtaining a total of 100 respondents. The data was collected using a questionnaire to the respondents. To answer the problems in research and testing research hypotheses, the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique is used using the SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that 1) principal leadership has an effect of 86% on teacher teaching performance, 2) teacher teaching performance has an effect of 76% on school quality. The data was taken from a descriptive analysis of the answers agree and strongly agree on the questionnaire given. The data was collected using a questionnaire to the respondents. Abstract

Improving the quality of educational institution requires adequate competence from a school principal to develop of school he leads, to help improve the professionalism of the principal, the government appoints an education supervisor whose job is to carry out managerial supervision. This research aims to reinforce the impact of spectrums of educational supervision in coaching and development for school principals. The present study adopted a quantitative approach through surveys. The population in this study were all school principals in Bandung, whereas the sample was a member of the population taken through a saturation sampling technique of 39 people. Assessed through multiple linear regression analysis, the current research also examined primary sources of data collected through fulfilling the interviews and questionnaires covering three spectrums of surveillance activities (aspects of inspection, control, supervision) as well as coaching and development for school principals. The results of analysis demonstrated that Fcount is 51.7 with a significance level of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the managerial supervision carried out by supervisors with inspection, control and supervision delivers a positive and significant impact in the coaching and development activities of school principals. This report presented the findings of research that supervisory must be proportionate, planned, directed and sustainable.

Abstract

Research in the wake of the problems how much influence interpersonal communication head Dikmenti field to work productivity of employees at the Education Department of West Java Province. The method used is descriptive method supported by literature study. As well as using the techniques of data collection using the questionnaire enclosed with 4 rating scale (Likert) were distributed to 49 employees especially in the field Dikmenti as samples. The problems of this study (1) how the image of interpersonal communication chief of Dikmenti Education Department of West Java Province, (2) how the employee productivity Education Department of West Java Province, (3) how much influence interpersonal communication head of Dikmenti against employee productivity Education Department of West Java Province. Based on the results of data processing which is calculated by using the technique Weight Means Scores (WMS) shows that the average general tendency for the variable X (Interpersonal Communication) obtained at 3.06 and are in very good category. As for the average general trend in Y (Work Productivity) obtained at 3.45 to be in very good category. The calculation result normality test on the distribution of the data that the variables X and Y have normal distribution. Judging from the calculation of the correlation coefficient (rhitung) using the formula obtained Perason Product Moment correlation coefficient of 0675. Thisshows that there is a strong relationship between the variables X and Y. The test results significantly with t-test obtained t is known ttabel 6.031 and 2.012 compared to 6.03˃ 2012 means that significant relationship between interpersonal communication department heads Dikmenti on productivity employee of West Java Provincial Education Office. To determinethe influence of the variables X and Y is shown from the calculation coefficient of determination (KD) of 43%. This shows that the influence of the head of the field of interpersonal communication Dikmenti against employee productivity Education Department of West Java province by 43% and the remaining 57% is influenced by other factors. Likewise, the results of the regression analysis obtained by the equation Y = 44.949 + 0.525 X means every one-unit change in the variable X will provid a change in the variable Y for 0.525.Berdasarkan the above results it can be concluded that the research hypothesis that there is positive and significant correlation between Interpersonal Communication Division leader Dikmenti the Work Productivity Employee Education Department of West Java Province. The results of this study are expected to provide a benefit both for the institution, employees and for further research that will examine communication problems on the productivity of labor.

Abstract

Although a transitional change of improving good services in organizational culture isslowly changing, the value transmission in Indonesia civil servants setting is very important to beunderstood optimistically. That is a self-adjustment of the employees working in a natural andpositive ways. But, how the value transmission of quality-oriented work culture occurs among ofthem? This study shows the description of the transmission of cultural values by working in aninterpretive analysis based on the Hawley’s knowledge (2001: 76-78) describing the gradationvalue of an organization has not grown into a thriving organization. Through a qualitative study,working with a leader on the top, ten employees in the middle, and fourteen employees at the lineas a participant observer (education consultant) for 2005 and 2006 at one of education offices inWest Java, this study concludes that the transmission of cultural values as well as an organizationalculture change requires understanding the noble values, especially comitments on the top level,dynamics in the middle, and loyalty at the line.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan standar sistem pendidikan secara keseluruhan, seorang kepala sekolah harus mampu meningkatkan kinerja anggota stafnya. Ada beberapa hal yang dapat berdampak pada kinerja seseorang, dan administrator sekolah harus mampu memberikan pengaruh yang memotivasi guru untuk melaksanakan tanggung jawab mereka secara efisien dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja guru secara keseluruhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dasar terhadap kinerja mengajar guru sekolah dasar serta dampaknya terhadap kualitas sekolah secara keseluruhan di kabupaten Lebak-Banten. Sebuah metodologi kuantitatif digunakan selama penyelidikan ini. Sampel penelitian ini adalah guru SD Negeri di Kabupaten Lebak. Besar sampel ditentukan dengan bantuan rumus Slovin, dan ditentukan 100 guru yang akan diperoleh dari total 775 guru SD negeri di Kabupaten Lebak. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengevaluasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan efektivitas guru. Analisis regresi dilakukan dengan bantuan SPSS, dilakukan terhadap data yang digunakan. Telah ditentukan melalui proses pengujian hipotesis penelitian 1 bahwa H0 benar dan H1 salah. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah tidak berdampak langsung terhadap efektivitas mengajar guru. Menurut hasil penelitian pengujian hipotesis 2, H0 harus diabaikan dan H1 harus diterima. Akibatnya, dapat dikatakan bahwa kinerja guru di kelas secara langsung dipengaruhi oleh motivasi.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi numerasi memiliki peranan penting dalam perkembangan intelektual untuk menghadapi era revolusi  industri  4.0 menuju era society 5.0. Penelitian ini ditujukan mengetahui implementasi gerakan literasi numerasi dalam kegiatan program kampus mengajar angkatan 4 tahun 2022. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data dari Miles & Hubermen sehingga diperoleh gambaran secara deskriptif  fenomena  yang  ada,  baik  fenomena  yang  bersifat  ilmiah  ataupun  rekayasa manusia yang terkait dengan implementasi gerakan literasi numerasi melalui program kampus mengajar di SDN 5 Situgede Kecamatan Karangpawitan Kabupaten Garut.
