Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the level of return on education investment and the results of human resource analysis using the Payback Period, Net Benefit or Cost Ratio, and Net Present Value methods for graduates in the English Education Department of Higher Education at West Java and Banten Province. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Samples taken in this study were 60 graduates in the English Education Department of Higher Education at West Java and Banten Province. Based on the results of the research, obtained 3 domiciles from all respondents, namely Banten, DKI Jakarta, and West Java provinces. The results showed that there was a high income gap be- tween graduates in each domicile. Using the Payback Period method, for graduates who are domiciled in Banten and West Java province, showed that investment is feasible but for graduates who are domiciled in the DKI Jakarta province, showed that unfeasible. Using the Net Benefit or Cost Ratio (BCR) method, for graduates domiciled in Banten and West Java province indicate that the investment is feasible, that the BCR value is more than 1. However, for graduates who are domiciled at the DKI Jakarta province, that the investment is unfeasible, that the BCR value is less than 1, that is 0.30. Using the Net Present Value (NPV) method, for graduates who are domiciled at Banten and West Java province showed that the in- vestment is feasible, that a positive NPV value. However, for graduates who are domiciled in DKI Jakarta province, showed that the investment is unfeasible, that the NPV value is negative.

Abstract

This research aims to study and analyze in depth about improving the quality of lecturers in the learning process at the university which is focused on university policies and programs in improving lecturer qualifications and competencies in terms of seven quality elements. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach in 27 study programs at the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang, and involves elements of leadership, quality control units, lecturers and students as research participants. The results of this study indicate that the university has implemented policies and programs to improve the qualifications and competencies of lecturers, but overall the results have not shown superior quality in accordance with the quality standards of lecturers that have been set as a prerequisite in organizing a quality learning process at the university. Seven quality elements to improving lecturer qualifications and competencies namely quality philosophy, quality standards, quality policy objectives, quality structure, processes quality, quality control cycle and quality assessment, so that it increasingly meets the prerequisites for organizing a quality learning process.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy abilities are determining factors for individual success in learning. Currently, literacy and numeracy skills are the main subjects in the independent curriculum. As one of the programs of the independent curriculum in tertiary institutions, the kampus mengajar is intended to serve the purpose of increasing students' literacy and numeracy skills. This study aims to describe the results of research on improving literacy and numeracy skills in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The object of this research is schools that run kampus mengajar programs in Garut Regency. The data were then analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that the kampus mengajar program has contribution in increasing students' literacy and numeracy in elementary schools, especially 3T schools. The kampus mengajar program contributes a lot to activities both in learning and activities outside the classroom. This is very possible for students to have good literacy skills. This is due to the existence of learning innovations offered by students in the target schools. Kemampuan literasi dan numerasi menjadi faktor penentu keberhasilan individu dalam belajar. Saat ini kemampuan literasi dan numerasi menjadi pembelajaran pokok di kurikulum merdeka. Sebagai salah satu program dari kurikulum merdeka di perguruan tinggi, kampus mengajar dimaksudkan untuk melakukan pengabdian pada peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian tentang peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi fenomenologi. Data diambil melalui wawancara dan angket. Objek penelitian ini yaitu sekolah-sekolah yang menjalankan program kampus mengajar di Kabupaten Garut. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa program kampus mengajar memiliki kontribusi dalam meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi siswa di sekolah dasar terutama sekolah 3T. Program kampus mengajar memberikan banyak kontribusi kegiatan baik dalam pembelajaran ataupun kegiatan di luar kelas. Hal ini sangat memungkin siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi yang baik. Ini dikarenakan adanya inovasi pembelajaran yang ditawarkan oleh mahasiswa di sekolah sasaran.

Abstract

Each academic course must conduct a self-evaluation, one method of which is a survey of students' attitudes towards the teaching and learning they experienced. Service quality affects how satisfied students are with the institution. There are five service quality dimensions (SERVQUAL): Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, and Tangible. The purpose of the study was to analyze students' level of satisfaction with the learning process on the 5 SERVQUAL Dimensions and evaluate which dimension had the highest level of satisfaction. The object of research is the active students of Almuslim University in the Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022 totalling 1,023 people. Quantitative research approach with the type of survey research. Data was collected using a Google form questionnaire which was distributed online. Analysis of the data by calculating the Percentage of Respondents' Achievement Level (RAL) followed by calculating the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI). The results showed that the highest RAL was in the Assurance Dimension, the average score was 3.23, and the RAL was 80.65% (excellent category), while the lowest RAL was in the Tangible Dimension, the average core was 3.06, and the RAL was 76.44% (excellent category). Analytical findings on a per-item basis There are five areas that need tweaking: The incorporation of e-learning technology and instructor feedback into the classroom setting. Hotspot facilities, as well as learning facilities in the lecture room, are readily available to accommodate the lecturers' high availability for academic consultations and/or Final Project discussions. The Assurance Dimension received the greatest CSI score (3.23), and the highest CSI conversion score (80.65), while the Tangible aspect received the lowest CSI score (2.94), and the lowest CSI conversion value (73.38). Overall, we received a CSI conversion score of 79.45, for a grand total of 3.18 (good).

AbstrakCompetitiveness, excellences dan quality merupakan isu strategis dan agenda besar BPSD Kementerian Pariwisata termasuk Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Bandung dan Bali sebagai UPT BPSD Kementerian Pariwisata. dalam menciptakan kualitas lulusan yang memiliki kemampuan daya saing berkelanjutan. Untuk mewujudkan visi dan misi lembaga, maka dengan kelemahan/keterbatasan yang STP Bandung dan Bali miliki terutama berkenaan dengan sumber daya (tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan, fasilitas fisik, keuangan), maka di era globalisasi yang sangat ketat dan cepat berubah, upaya melakukan dan mengembangkan kemitraan (aliansi strategis) dengan semua stakeholder merupakan suatu keharusan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji gambaran empirik masalah-masalah strategis yang dihadapi dan strategi yang dilakukan dalam merespon kebutuhan-kebutuhan pengembangan sumber daya manusia ke depan serta Aliansi Strategis yang dilakukan STP untuk merespon persaingan global.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistik, dengan metode deskriptif dan studi kasus, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Abstract

Efforts to the quality, assurance of the school level requires the parties directly responsible for the quality of service to stakeholders in education, especially in the service of learning. Principals as school leaders and managers have a role in ensuring the quality of school education, although schools are on limited resources and sources of funds, the principal office must be able to have a dig requirements, lead, empower and open participation of stakeholders effectively. Based on the identification of the primary head of Management Training in 2005 was organized by the Training office in Bandung, that the skills that should be owned by the school with limited resources many schools are in leadership .skills, entrepreneurship (leaderpreneurship). The essence of leadership is the ability leaderpreneurship be based by the entrepreneurial spirit to respond to the demands strategic environment, its limitations and the strengths and challenges into opportunities to achieve toe school. Leaderpreneurship have competency: head of school able to self-reliance aid planning, school quality,, able to organize school activities effectively, implement all activities that have been developed, which has a strong personality, able to communicate ideas / thoughts and school programs, personnel and influence stakeholders to achieve the god of schools, and able to manage financial resources and school in a participatory, transparent and accountable, in order leaderpreneurship development, the researchers created a model for training principals leaderpreneurship both the new and old who have served as a form of quality assurance in schools.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi kerja, kompetensi dalam hal ini kemampuan dosen dan kinerja dosen, untuk mengetahui besaran kompetensi professional terhadap kinerja dosen dan pengaruh motivasi kerja dan kopetensi professional terhadap kinerja dosen di Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 61 orang dosen di Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung diambil dengan teknik Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket tertutup degan 5 skala penilaian (Likert). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja di Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung berada pada kategori cukup, kompetensi professional dalam hal ini kemampuan dosen berada pada kategori baik, pengaruh motivasi kerja dan kompetensi professional dosen secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja dosen berada pada kategori cukup. Kata Kunci: motivasi kerja, kompetensi profesional, kinerja dosen Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the ability and the performance of the lecturers in the working motivation and their competence, to determine the competence of the professional lecturer performance and to determine the influenceof the employee motivation and their professional competence of the lecturer performance in Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung (Bandung School of Tourism). The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach premises. The data used are primary data by distributing questionnaires to the respondents, with a total sample of 61 lecturers at the Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung (Bandung School of Tourism) taken with Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data was collected using a closed questionnaire with 5 rating scale (Likert). The results showed that working motivation in Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung (the Bandung School of Tourism)is in sufficient category, the lecturers professional competence ability is in the good category, the influence of the employee motivation and the professional competence of the lecturers concur the performance of lecturers are in the sufficient category as well. Keywords: working motivation, professional competence, lecturer performance

Abstract

Continuing Professional Development Program has not received a good response. Elementary school teachers are still not optimal in carrying out research, self-development, creating innovative works, and scientific publications. This study evaluates the professional development program in terms of the principal's role in improving the professional competence of teachers; and to evaluate the process of continuous professional development in improving the professional competence of educators. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. The subject of this research is the principal and the teacher who teaches at the school. The results showed: 1) that the majority of teachers did not have a structured plan; 2) Implementation of class action research is still low; 3) The development of innovation works to support learning is still low; 4) Implementation of self-development by attending scientific activities on a medium scale; 5) Implementation of scientific paper publications is still very low; 6) Policy support is needed to hold continuous professional development training programs on an ongoing basis; 7) the role of the principal is needed in supervising teacher performance and improving professional competence. In contrast to previous research, this research raises the problems faced by schools with the evaluation of the professional development program and shows the impact and also solutions that can be taken by schools in an effort to improve school quality.

Abstract

The formation of interaction, communication, and collaboration between lecturers and students, and or students in assignment management during the Covid-19 period requires lecturers to change their pedagogy quckly through choosing the right strategy. This study aims to present information as a measure of the success of lecturers’ strategies in managing assignments to write books with ISBN as an implementation of the quality of academic services during the Covid-19 period. This cross-sectional descriptive survey research method was conducted on 128 fifth semester students of A-D class, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, Academic Year 2020/2021, with 52 web-based questionnaires distributed online using the google form application, measured using 4 response point Likert data format without middle category, using 4 answer options: Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. The management of the assignments to write books with ISBN is very appropriate to do as a lecturer strategy to maximize the quality of academic services in curriculum development courses during the Covid-19 period.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of academic services at the Faculty of Health Sciences, through strategic management steps, including environmental analysis, formulation, implementation, evaluation of performance measurement, using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection by qualitative interviews was carried out on five sources of information, qualitative observation, documentation study and literature study. Data were analyzed using open coding, axial coding and selected coding strategies. Triangulation was chosen as a technique to check the validity of research data. The results of the study show that in an effort to achieve its goals, the institution has not been able to reach the efficient stage, meaning that it really requires a lot of time, adequate costs needed, university support and leadership, loyalty and commitment of the entire academic community so that management functions run well, develop various resources. local wisdom-based funds, improvement and development of its resources.
