Abstract

Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) is a bank performance ratio used to measure the adequacy of capital owned by the bank in order to support assets that contain or generate risk. The greater the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the better the bank's ability to meet capital needs. The greater the capital owned by the bank, the bank is able to provide loans to customers in large amounts so that it has the opportunity to increase the company's profitability. Profitability assessment is a process to determine how well business activities are carried out to achieve strategic goals, eliminate waste and present timely information to carry out continuous improvement (1). This study aims to be one of the indicators of how an important event in a country, especially in the socio-political field, can affect the country's economic turnover and stock exchange. Especially for the big four ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), the case of increasing stock prices in the banking sector is in the spotlight and it is necessary to conduct a scientific study on the correlation of General Election events in the big four ASEAN countries with the increase in their country's stock market. This type of research is associative research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables, namely researching the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Operational Costs on Operational Income (BOPO) which are related to the Profitability of banking sector companies during the general election period in the big four ASEAN countries. This study will use ratio analysis to determine the performance of a bank and its health.

Abstract

Home industry Rika Bakery is a company engaged in the processing of flour raw materials into products. It was established in 2020 and is based in Maryke Village, Kutambaru District, Langkat Regency. Product sales are still subject to fluctuations because the products are not durable, a clear accounting system is not implemented, and the business strategy for business development is not clear. These are obstacles that homeowners face. This research aims to determine the application of Business Model Canvas (BMC) in the development of Rika Bakery cottage industry in Maryke Village, Kutambaru District, Langkat Regency. This research uses a qualitative research approach using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) as the data analysis method. The results of this research show that the Rika Bakery home industry has implemented the Canvas business model, but it is not optimal because there are segments in the existing key partnership block that use important resources as their own resources and whose main activity is the creation of product value, utilization of fixed costs and variable costs in carrying out business activities, in the value proposition block, lack of diversity to strengthen the value offered to consumers, use of only one marketing channel, namely direct, use of customer relationships as a form of consumer loyalty, potential present to consumers in product sales to generate revenue only from the achieved product sales.

Abstract

Coffee plants in general are one of the plantation commodities that are suitable for smallholder plantations because they can produce fruit throughout the year. Coffee production can be used as a source of daily or weekly income for the community. The problem in the upstream subsystem is that the productivity of Indonesian coffee plants is still below its normal potential and tends to decrease. One of the reasons for this low productivity is the cultivation system, starting from maintenance, pruning and fertilizing, as well as plant spacing. The difference in treatment in the coffee cultivation system will also affect the profits that will be obtained by farmers. This study aims to analyze the differences in the profits of coffee farming with a spacing of 2.5 x 2.5 m with a spacing of 1.5 x 1.5 m and different cultivation systems. This research uses descriptive quantitative method using profit analysis and profit difference test. The results showed that the spacing of 1.5 x 1.5 m is more profitable than the spacing of 2.5 x 2.5 m. This happened because the population per hectare at a spacing of 1.5 x 1.5 m was 4,444 plants accompanied by very intensive care, while at a spacing of 2.5 x 2.5 m the population was only 1,600 plants. The follow-up to the results of this research will be submitted to the Sinta-2 journal by preparing articles according to the format given to the journal in question. Abstract

The increasingly massive Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic has recently changed the system/order of people's lives in Indonesia. This system is known as the New Normal Era. At this time, the existing employment system in Indonesia forced various job providers to reduce the number of workers due to capital problems and social distancing rules. The prohibition of gathering in one place en masse caused job providers to lay off some employees, thus increasing the number of unemployed. This also happened in North Aceh District. Many young workers are forced to leave work because of the limited job opportunities available in North Aceh District. The formation of a new business/business accompanied by the skill of understanding the quality of the product to be produced is the best solution in this condition. Understanding product quality will certainly help entrepreneurs to determine market segmentation, marketing strategies, production costs, types of raw materials used and what risks must be faced. One of the businesses that are very popular with entrepreneurs today is the business of processed drinks from Arabica coffee commodities. Arabica coffee from Aceh Province is better known as Gayo coffee. Gayo coffee is quite famous in the world because it has a distinctive aroma and enjoyment and if it is cupped or taste tested.
