Abstract

The 4C skills—Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration—are essential for preparing students to navigate 21st-century challenges. However, results from PISA 2022 and Indonesia's Education Report 2024 reveal that foundational competencies remain low, particularly in rural contexts. This study aims to explore the manifestation of 4C skills among ninth-grade students at SMP Budhi Dharma Balige, North Sumatra, through performance on PISA-based mathematics questions. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected from 31 students using two PISA tasks and an unstructured teacher interview. Responses were assessed using a rubric-informed framework, and analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. Results show that while students demonstrate strong communication and procedural reasoning (96.77% correct in Q1 Part 2), performance in critical thinking and argumentation remains limited (only 35% success in Q2 Part 3). The main barrier is the lack of integrated instructional strategies that promote higher-order and collaborative learning. The study concludes that while 4C skills are beginning to develop, their progression is fragmented and requires targeted pedagogical reforms. Recommendations include the use of project-based learning, culturally responsive instruction, and formative assessments to ensure equitable 4C development in under-resourced schools.

Abstract

The ability to solve students' mathematical problems cannot be diagnosed clearly just by using test questions; it must also be seen by looking at students' responses to the problem-solving process. As a result, the purpose of this study is to investigate students' mathematical problem-solving skill as well as their responses to the problem-solving process. This study is descriptive-qualitative in nature. Three junior high schools (SMP) in Aceh participated in this study, with 76 class VIII students serving as research subjects. Tests, observations, and interviews were used as data collection techniques. Quantitative data were descriptively analyzed using proportions, while qualitative data were descriptively analyzed using coding. The results showed that 25 percent of students wrote down what was known and asked, which was an indication of problem comprehension; 21 percent of students were able to devise problem-solving strategies; and 15 percent of students had done calculations correctly. correct, 11 percent of students checked their answers again. Based on the responses given by students, there were some difficulties experienced by students when solving math problems, namely difficulty understanding reading texts, using mathematical terms, making problem connections, making decisions, uncertainty in solving problems, time, carelessness, and boredom. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a resource for teachers and education practitioners in developing focus, discipline, and patience in problem solving and selecting learning models appropriate to the needs of their students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is: To determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the metacognitive approach-based learning module in improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at MTs Al Washliyah 16 Perbaungan, To analyze the answer process of students at Mts Al Washliyah 16 Perbaungan in solving mathematical problem-solving ability test questions. This research method uses the Four-D Thiagarajan development type of research, the sample of this study was at MTS AL Wasliyah 16 Perbaungan. The results of this study are: Design Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been carried out, it can be concluded that: The metacognitive-based mathematics learning module that has been developed has met the eligibility criteria in terms of material, appearance, interactivity, and ease of use. This eligibility is obtained based on the results of validation by material experts, media experts, as well as the results of limited trials and extensive trials conducted on students. This metacognitive web-based mathematics learning module has proven effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This is indicated by a significant increase in mathematical problem-solving ability scores after students used the developed learning module compared to before using the module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VII SMP Cahaya Pengharapan Abadi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research (CAR) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Sebelum melakukan tindakan, terlebih dahulu dilakukan tes awal dan di akhir siklus dilakukan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa mengalami peningkatan dari tes awal siklus I ke siklus II. Pada tes awal secara klasikal diperoleh 3,33% tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 37,55. Dilanjutkan pada tes di siklus I diperoleh peningkatan secara klasikal 43,33% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 63,89. Kemudian pada siklus II diperoleh nilai secara klasikal 86,67% yang mana terjadi peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 78,56. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui persentase klasikal dan keberagaman proses jawaban siswa melalui langkah-langkan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

PISA is a prestigious platform for assessing students' learning achievements globally, including 4C skills: creative thinking, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. However, the 2022 PISA results once again showed disappointing achievements for Indonesia. Indonesian students struggle with solving complex problems (critical thinking), have difficulty conveying ideas effectively (communication), are less prepared for creative challenges (creative thinking), and lack effective collaborative learning approaches. This research aimed to analyze the 4C skills of students at SMP Negeri 31 Medan. The study involved 29 students from class IX-3. Data were collected using two selected essay questions from the 2022 PISA mathematics test, specifically designed to assess 4C skills through indicators like interpreting, formulating, and reasoning. Collaboration was assessed through semi-structured interviews with the class teacher to gain insights into students' interaction and teamwork skills, complementing the written test results. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used to interpret students' written responses, while collaboration data were analyzed based on teacher observations. Assessment criteria followed established indicators for critical thinking (Employ and Evaluate), creativity (formulate), communication (interpret), and collaboration (effective teamwork). The results indicate that 69.56% of students correctly answered interpretation questions (communication, level 3), 39.13% and 43.47% answered employability questions correctly (critical thinking, levels 2 and 1a), and 30.43% correctly answered formulation questions (creativity, level 2). However, teacher observations revealed that students still struggle with effective collaboration, reflecting a broader challenge in fostering teamwork and peer learning. Overall, although communication skills are relatively strong, significant improvements are needed in critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa masih sangat rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Sains A2 dan A4 yang berjumlah 72 siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen penelitian berupa lima tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Data dianalisis menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test dengan nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh yaitu 0,000, dari hasil tersebut diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Adapun nilai effect size sebesar 1,7 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Two Stay Two Stray sebesar 95,5% terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI. Students' mathematical communication ability in schools are still very low. This study aims to analyze the effect of the two stay two stray learning model on the mathematical communication ability of grade XI students. The research sample was 72 grade XI A2 and A4 Science students. The method used was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instrument was five essay tests to measure mathematical communication ability. The data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance value of 0,000, from these results it is known that the significance value of 0,000 < 0,05. The effect size value of 1,7 indicates that there is an influence of the Two Stay Two Stray model of 95,5% on the mathematical communication ability of grade XI students. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on the mathematical communication ability of grade XI students.

Abstract

Abstract Social anxiety factors are usually experienced in life because of addiction to playing social media. The use of social media continues to increase among early adolescents along with the development of technology, The research design used in this study uses a quantitative method that goes through a cross-sectional approach. This study uses a simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 22. This study uses a correlational approach to test the relationship of the variables proposed to the hypothesis. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between social anxiety and social media addiction in early adolescence with a correlation/relationship value (R) of 0.711 and a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.505 which means that the social anxiety variable can reduce the social media addiction variable in early adolescence by 50.5%. Keywords: Social Media Addiction; Social Anxiety Abstrak Factor kecemasan sosial biasanya yang sering dialami dikehidupan karena kecanduan bermain sosial media. Penggunaan sosial media terus meningkat di kalangan remaja awal seiring perkembangan teknologi, Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang melalui pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini memakai analisis regresi sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS versi 22. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan korelasional untuk menguji hubungan variabel yang diajukan pada hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan yaitu terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikasi antara kecemasan sosial dengan kecanduan sosial media pada remaja awal dengan nilai korelasi/hubungan (R) sebesar 0,711 dan koefisien determinasi (R Square) adalah 0,505 yang berarti bahwa variabel kecemasan sosial dapat menurunkan variabel kecanduan sosial media pada remaja awal sebesar 50,5%. Abstract

Negara memandang mahasiswa sebagai harapan bangsa karena ekspektasi tinggi terhadap potensi mereka, namun banyak mahasiswa justru menunda belajar dan penyelesaian tugas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Intensitas menonton seri drama Korea dan Self-Criticism dengan Prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Surabaya. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 241 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi positif dan signifikan dari hubungan variabel intensitas menonton drama Korea dengan prokrastinasi akademik, dan Self-Criticism dengan prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa muncul dari intens atau keseringan mahasiswa dalam menonton drama Korea dan kritik diri yang berlebih. Implikasi hasil penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai panduan untuk mengurangi tingkat penundaan akademis yang tinggi dengan menginstruksikan mahasiswa untuk mengurangi kritik diri mereka dan intensitas mereka menonton drama Korea.

Abstract

The study examines the influence of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical service quality on prescription redemption decisions and subsequent re-treatment decisions among general outpatients at Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital. The hospital has faced challenges, including a decline in outpatient visits and filled prescriptions, affecting its revenue during the 2022-2023 period. Patient perceptions of the pharmacy services significantly impact their decision to return for further medical care. The research aims to assess both direct and indirect effects of service quality on prescription redemption and re-treatment decisions. The study employs a verification approach with a cross-sectional design, using accidental sampling to survey 342 general outpatients between October 2023 and February 2024. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SEM PLS 3.0, encompassing both outer and inner model analyses through PLS Algorithm, Bootstrapping, and Blindfolding techniques. The findings reveal that the quality of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical services significantly influences the decision to redeem a prescription (P = 0.000). Moreover, non-pharmaceutical service quality and the decision to redeem a prescription significantly affect the decision to re-medicate (P = 0.002 and 0.000, respectively). However, pharmaceutical service quality alone does not positively impact repeat treatment (P = 0.041). Both service variables have a significant indirect effect on re-treatment decisions through the mediating role of prescription redemption (P = 0.000).

Abstract

Bibliometric Mapping on the Research “Merdeka Belajar” Using VosviewerObjectives: To find out the development of research on the topic of Merdeka Belajar. Methods: The method is done by tracing articles in national journals with Publish or Peris then stored in the form of a Research Information System (RIS) and analyzed with VosViewer. Findings: The topic of Merdeka Belajar started in 2019 and increased rapidly every year. The authors who published the most on this topic were Reyna Virgina Nona, Fauzan Putraga Albahri, and Abdus Salam as of February 15, 2022. The most total link authors are Ummu Aiman, Nanda Alfan Kurniawan., Roimil Latifa, Ainur Rofieq, Randi Saputra, and Eko Susetyarini.
