Abstract

Execution of tasks is a way or steps so that the implementation of work is easy and smooth. In a hotel it is very important to pay attention to the procedure for carrying out the bellboy duties that will be carried out. This study aims to find out how important the attention of hotel management is in carrying out bellboy duties, handling guest goods, recording guest luggage, recording temporary guest safekeeping, sending guest messages and what obstacles are experienced by bellboys when carrying out their duties taken from book sources Agustinus Darsono (2001) in the front office bellboy section of the Fox Hotel Pekanbaru department. Data collected using interview techniques, observation and documentation. Based on the research obtained from the results of the interviews that the implementation of the bellboy duties at the front office department of the Fox Hotel Pekanbaru can be said to be quite good because some have followed the procedures and some are still not in accordance with the procedures that have been determined. Abstract

Bandar Bakau merupakan kawasan strategis yang berpotensi dikembangkan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis program pemberdayaan yang pernah dilakukan dan merumuskan strategi pemberdayaan menggunakan konsep Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat Pesisir. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pemilihan subjek melalui cara purposive sampling terdiri dari aparatur pemerintahan setempat, pengelola Bandar Bakau, pegiat budaya, serta masyarakat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi, kategorisasi, display, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menemukan sejumlah masalah dalam pengembangan potensi Bandar Bakau untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat diantaranya perbedaan persepsi mengenai tujuan dan desain pemberdayaan, manajemen kelembagaan yang belum optimal, serta komitmen stakeholder yang belum sejalan. Pemberdayaan yang dilakukan di kawasan Bandar Bakau belum sepenuhnya menerapkan prinsip PEMP karena lebih dominan berpola top down dari pada bottom up. Hal ini memberikan implikasi pada kurang optimalnya keberhasilan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Strategi berbasis PEMP dilakukan melalui sejumlah strategi. Pertama, memperbaiki struktur dan menata kembali kelembagaan yang ada. Kedua, penyamaan persepsi tentang PEMP diantara aktor dan stakeholder. Ketiga, menjunjung tinggi musyawarah dan nilai-nilai gotong royong serta pengembangan partisipasi masyarakat. Strategi ini dapat memberikan dampak positif jika diimbangi dengan konsistensi dukungan dari segi peningkatan kapasitas, permodalan, serta manajemen bisnis berkelanjutan.

Abstract

A driver's license is a special requirement that must be owned by the public to drive a motor vehicle. However, there are still 1,075 people who do not have a SIM in 2022. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategies and obstacles of SIM services in Siak District. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with subject determination using purposive sampling consisting of SIM service officers and SIM issuance applicants. The results of the study found that there are several strategies used to optimize SIM services, namely 1) The strategy of identifying the main determinants of SIM services. 2) The strategy of managing the expectations of applicants who receive services from SIM services. 3) Strategy of managing evidence of quality in SIM services. 4) The strategy of educating the public is carried out by SIM services where service officers help the public or applicants to get education related to SIM either from socialization, e-books, or tutoring. 5) The strategy of fostering cultural quality, that is, knowledge where almost all officers appointed by the leadership have competency certifications that prove that these officers have indeed been tested. 6) Strategy to follow up, all services are carried out as well as possible and as optimally as possible even though improvements must always be reviewed and followed up. 7) Information system strategy, where SIM service officers have used an information system.

Abstract

The coffee shop is a space where coffee culture was first born and developed, which was initially only carried out by adults and dominated by men. Modern with various facilities and a variety of drinks offered for various circles. As one of the public spaces where coffee culture develops and not only buying and selling activities are there, but there are activities to exchange information or spend time while enjoying coffee alone or with friends. Coffee culture is not only a phenomenon among adults, however the phenomenon of coffee culture also occurs among young people as a space that gives rise to various activities or lifestyles that are influenced by modernist values. This research aims to find out how the coffee culture is before and after the social transformation at the Megaria Coffee Shop and Coffee Shop Boco Kopi. The selection of research subjects was carried out by accidental samples. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Based on the results of the study, coffee culture has existed for a long time in coffee shops, such as the Megaria coffee shop. Then with the development of science and technology, people's needs increase, especially in the coffee industry, this stimulates coffee industry activists to develop in the coffee shop space so that coffee shops with a more modern concept emerge modern as Coffee Shop Boco Kopi. Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of identifying social capital in developing creativity in using plastic waste into ecobricks at SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research show that SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru has made efforts to develop creativity in using plastic waste into ecobricks, including development through curriculum, education and outreach as well as sales to consumers. SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru also faces obstacles, including the condition of students becoming lazy and tired, lack of direct communication with student parents, design obstacles in marketing ecobricks. Even though it is faced with existing obstacles, this ecobrick activity has the potential to continue to develop and provide significant benefits in utilizing waste. The social capital found in developing creativity in using plastic waste into ecobricks at SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru is that trust is formed between schools, students and parents because ecobricks are a very useful activity in saving the environment. Trust from consumers or partners is very important in developing ecobrick activities. Values and norms are things that must be maintained by students because they are things that are not written down and must be obeyed. If there is a violation, you will receive a warning. The network that exists at SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru towards students and parents is that there are well-established relationships and networks with consumers or partners in building cooperation to achieve common goals. Abstract

This study assesses the service quality at Comforta Hotel's Pepito restaurant in Dumai. Using qualitative descriptive methods and data from 100 respondents through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, the research found that the service quality of waitstaff needs improvement due to significant complaints, highlighting the importance of enhancing service quality in the hotel industry. Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendampingi kelompok sadar wisata (Pokdarwis) dan masyarakat dalam mengelola Bendungan Sungai Paku. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal dengan mengedepankan prinsip kebersamaan dan kolaborasi, mitra dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 20 orang yang terdiri dari unsur pokdarwis, pemuda, masyarakat dan Pemerintah Desa Sungai Paku. Tahap pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi persiapan pembentukan tim, perumusan tujuan, identifikasi pemangku kepentingan, pengumpulan dan analisis kebutuhan, penentuan prioritas solusi masalah, persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, evaluasi dan penentuan kebutuhan lainnya. Hasil pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari segi waktu kegiatan terlaksana sesuai dengan perencanaan. Partisipasi mitra sangat baik mereka terlibat aktif mulai dari proses awal hingga akhir. Bersama masyarakat tim pengabdian membangun dan memperindah objek foto sebagai daya tarik tambahan. Dari sisi kelembagaan dilaksanakan penyuluhan tentang kepariwisataan serta manajemen kelompok. Dalam penyuluhan ditekankan bahwa keberhasilan pengelolaan suatu objek wisata sangat bergantung pada kontribusi aktif masyarakat secara pentahelix. Peserta kegiatan antusias mengikuti rangkaian acara. Keikutsertaan dalam rangkaian pengabdian ini didasari oleh keinginan untuk memajukan dan membangun objek wisata Bendungan Sungai Paku. Sementara itu, respon masyarakat terhadap kegiatan pengabdian memperoleh nilai yang tinggi (baik) antara 3,7-4,5. Secara garis besar, masyarakat merasakan manfaat dari kegiatan yang dilakukan dan berharap kegiatan serupa dapat berlanjut di tahun berikutnya agar pengelolaan potensi Bendungan Sungai Paku semakin optimal sebagai sumber penghasilan masyarakat berbasis potensi alam.  Collaboration-Based Empowerment in Physical and Human Resources Management at Bendungan Sungai Paku  The purpose of this service is to assist the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) and the community in managing the Bendungan Sungai Paku. The implementation of this service uses the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach by prioritizing the principles of togetherness and collaboration, the partners in this activity totaled 20 people consisting of elements of Pokdarwis, youth, community and Sungai Paku Village Government. The stage of service implementation includes preparation of team formation, formulation of objectives, identification of stakeholders, collection and analysis of needs, prioritization of problem solutions, preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and determination of other needs. The results of this service can be concluded that in terms of time the activities were carried out in accordance with the plan. Partner participation is very good, they are actively involved from the beginning to the end of the process. Together with the community, the service team built and beautified the photo object as an additional attraction. From the institutional side, counseling on tourism and group management was carried out. In counseling, it is emphasized that the success of managing a tourist attraction is highly dependent on the active contribution of the community in a pentahelix manner. The participants were enthusiastic in participating in the series of events. Participation in this series of services is based on the desire to advance and develop the Bendungan Sungai Paku tourist attraction. Meanwhile, the community's response to the community service activities received a high score (good) between 3.7-4.5. Broadly speaking, the community feels the benefits of the activities carried out and hopes that similar activities can continue in the following year so that the management of the potential of the Bendungan Sungai Paku is optimized as a source of income for the community based on natural potential.

Abstract

This research on Community Economic Empowerment in Alamendah Tourism Village is to find out if there are tourist villages that are able to maintain economic balance. This Alamendah Tourism Village makes more use of its natural potential, but economic resources through the MSME sector are also important in this economic empowerment. The development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) is anticipated to be able to maintain the economic equilibrium of a community as a result of the construction of a tourism village. This study seeks to determine the outcomes of community economic empowerment in Alamendah Tourism Village through the development of MSMEs. This study employs a qualitative methodology with descriptive methods. The results of the study show that the community's economic empowerment in the Alamendah tourism village through MSMEs can be increased by encouraging local entrepreneurship, providing easy access to financing, improving product quality, strengthening marketing and promotion, and actively involving the community. With the synergy of local business actors, village government, NGOs and related parties, tourism villages can achieve sustainable economic growth, improve people's welfare, and create an inclusive and competitive local economy.

Abstract

The purpose of the service is to increase the capacity of the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in carrying out the duties and functions of developing Bandar Bakau ecotourism. To carry out this activity, the method that will be used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The method involves more target communities actively by studying rural conditions and life and wants the community to share, improve, and analyze their knowledge of local conditions and life then make plans and then act or action. The partners or target community consisted of the Village Government, the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), local communities and arts and culture activist groups. There are problems both from external and internal groups that have implications for less than optimal performance, namely lack of ability in institutional management and lack of ability to innovate and creatively develop existing potential. For this reason, the main activities of this service are Managerial, Technical, and Social Development as well as Innovation, Creativity, and Marketing Training. This activity went well where the response of the community and activity partners was very positive. Things that need to be followed up include providing intense mentoring and coaching efforts to Pokdarwis so that they become established and independent in carrying out their functions in developing Bandar Bakau Ecotourism

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis modal sosial dalam pengelolaan hutan Imbo Putui. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan penentuan subjek secara purposive. Peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada 6 informan dan melakukan analisis data dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa unsur modal sosial dapat memberikan manfaat yang positif bagi masyarakat adat Desa Petapahan untuk mengelola hutan Imbo Putui. Mereka memiliki rasa percaya yang kuat dengan tokoh adat, tokoh agama serta aparat pemerintah desa. Kepercayaan ini didasarkan pada faktor kesamaan suku dan nenek moyang, serta kemampuan para tokoh memenuhi ekspektasi masyarakat. Sementara norma sosial muncul dari kesadaran menjaga hutan untuk masa depan. Mereka mendasarkan diri pada kepentingan adat serta ajaran agama untuk menjaga segala sesuatu yang ada di bumi sebagai bentuk ibadah. Unsur modal sosial yang ada harus diperkuat dan didukung oleh para pihak secara aktif dalam bentuk penerapan norma maupun pemeliharaan jaringan sosial.
