Abstract

Abstract: As the second legacy of Islamic teachings after the al-Qur’an, hadith is a set of teachings that provide various guiding solutions to navigate the dynamics of life. It is very reasonable if comprehending the hadith comprehensively is very necessary to find the meaning of a hadith based on the development and demands of the times. This paper discusses the construction of the understanding hadith offered by Yusuf al-Qardhawy in the book Kayfa Nata’amal ma’a al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyyah. From several methods offered by al-Qardawy in the book, the author specifies on one of his rules, namely al-Tamyiz Bayna al-Wasilah al-Mutaghayyirah wa al-Hadhf al-Thabit. By reading it from the perspective of constructivism, purely library research and analysis of intercontextual data, it is found that understanding in addition to al-Qardhawy in using this rule always relates hadith with something current and always up to date, he also tries to apply it to elastic traditions of regional conditions and open to the times.

Abstract

Da'wah is part of the commands of the Qur'an. Many of the several verses of the Qur'an describe the concept of da'wah. With the development of the era, the method or approach of da'wah must be able to reach the reality on the ground. The concept of da'wah brought by the Walisongo is certainly different in terms of approach, culture, society and strategy. In the QS. al-Nahl verse 125, it is explained about several methods of da'wah, namely wisdom, mauidzah hasanah and mujadalah. By using qualitative methods and content analysis, this article concludes that the da'wah approach in navigating the era of disruption can use the Walisongo's footsteps, namely the theological approach, scientific approach, institutional approach, social approach, cultural approach, structural approach, and economic approach. From these several approaches, da'i can pick and choose from the several approaches above to serve as a way of preaching in the era of disruption.

Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism in Indonesia goes on because of conflict and social friction among religious people. One of the reasons for this potential conflict is the development of information technology which makes it easier for internet users to disseminate the news they receive. On the contrary social media can also promote religious moderation ideas. Religious moderation protects religious people from going to extremes in insulting religious teachings which results in disunity. This article aims to find out the idea of the Mubadalah.id account in strengthening religious moderation, at the same time realizing moderate Islam in Indonesia. By using virtual ethnographic methods and content analysis techniques, this paper concludes that the Mubadalah.id account has carried the significant ideas as an effort to realize moderate Islam in Indonesia based on the four indicators of religious moderation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, namely: (1) promoting peaceful and tolerant religious principles; (2) upholding human values through gender equality; (3) voice for State Defense; (4) defending human rights, especially for women and children who are oppressed; and (5) strive for environmental preservation.

Abstract

This article attempts to examine the methodology of interpretation in the classic commentary text by Abdullah bin Wahb al-Mishri, namely the book al-Jami' Tafsir al-Qur'an. This is motivated by the existence of a study of ancient manuscripts attributed to Ibn Wahb through transmission. The object of study is al-Jami' Tafsir al-Qur'an by Abdullah bin Wahb al-Mishri which is the result of research (tahqiq and ta'liq) from Miklos Muranyi in 1939. By using a qualitative-descriptive method, this article concludes that: the method used by Abdullah bin Wahb al-Miṣrī can be viewed from 4 points of view; sources of interpretation using bi al-ra'yī, the breadth of explanation uses ijmālī, the goals and systematics use mauḍū'ī and the tendency of interpretation uses bi al-riwāyah. These results indicate that the book of commentaries does not only use a single method in its preparation so that al-Miṣrī makes his book an answer that the compilation of the book of interpretations of the Qur'an is not single, but mono-method, or in methodological terms using comparisons.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the idea of Instagram Mubadalah.id about the character of Rabbani in the Qur’an. In the post that was uploaded in the form of a meme on its website, Mubadalah.id seems to have contributed thoughts about the character of Rabbani that men and women must have. This is interesting to study further, considering that Mubadalah.id is an Instagram social media that actively posts issues around Islam, especially those related to gender. By using qualitative methods and a virtual ethnographic approach, this article concludes that Mubadalah.id’s Instagram provides the idea of nine Rabbani characters based on verses of the Koran which are packaged in the form of memes, namely: having faith in Allah, always doing good deeds, protecting oneself from lust for the world, intertwin hablun minan-nas, have commendable morals, do not oppress women, are aware of their potential, are aware of slander within themselves, and behave in rahmatan lil ‘alamin. The nine characters of Rabbani in the Qur'an offered by Mubadalah.id are very relevant to the interpretation of Mufasir Nusantara against the verses which are used as a benchmark to designate the character of Rabbani. Therefore, the nine Rabbani characters need to be applied in Indonesian social life to achieve a better life.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain Muhammad Shadiq's Qalb al-Qur'an in his work, faḍâ’il al-Qur'an. The inquiries are as follows: What Qur'anic verses are contained in Qalb al-Qur'an? How do the faḍâ’il al-Qur'an forms in Surah al-Fâ'tiḥah verses 4-5 illustrate receiving privileges from the Qur'an? The book of Qalb al-Qur'an by Muhammad Shadiq has a representation of faḍâ’il al-Qur'an that has about 56 features, according to qualitative-descriptive methodologies, informative, and performative approaches from Sam D. Gill. These features consist of a combination of one or two verses that make up the 114 surahs of the Qur'an's qalb (heart). The author shows the fourth and fifth verses in Surah al-Fâ’tiḥah as qalb based on several interpretations as evidence of its specialty study. While the fifth verse discusses the responsibilities of a servant who must worship only Allah and always seek His help, the fourth verse discusses Allah's power in the cosmos and how He has the right to reward and hold each of His servants accountable in the hereafter. These two verses are regarded as the qalb in Surah al-Fâ’tiḥah because they have a much deeper, more distinctive, and all-encompassing meaning than the other verses

Abstract

This paper examines the pros and cons of opinions regarding the hadith regarding tawassul with one's essence. This paper uses a qualitative method. This paper concludes that opinions that are against tawassul to the essence of the pious and to the lovers of Allah, are considered the same as the attitude of disbelievers when worshiping idols which they consider an intermediary to Allah. Therefore, this counter group considers it an act of shirk and bid'ah. While the group that allows tawassul has many arguments that in general they have high respect for pious people. So the midpoint of these pros and cons, namely love for pious people, is appropriate, because through them Muslims can get to know religion, so that opinions that are against tawassul become refuted.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the role of the family in educating children in the era of Al-Qur'an-based digital disruption. This is based on the fact that changes in the era of digital disruption can affect the behavior and character of a child who is in the process of finding his identity. By using pure literature research and descriptive data analysis techniques, this article concludes that the role of the family in children's education is crucial to their growth and development. Families must strive to educate, direct, and project each child to fill their lives with solid beliefs so that they consistently carry out Islamic law and are saved from all calamities in this world and the hereafter. There are at least five roles of the family in educating children in the era of Al-Qur'an-based disruption that deserves attention, namely: as the foundation of religion, as forming the character of children, influencing children's self-confidence, instilling mutual respect, and being able to improve achievement in school. Of course, these five roles can be used as guidelines for every family in educating their children based on the Koran in the era of digital disruption

Abstract

Abstract

This article explores the meaning of the hadith that states that Allah is "odd" and loves the "odd." Through a qualitative research approach and literature analysis, this study concludes that the understanding of this hadith contains deep meaning. Through a qualitative research approach and analysis of the literature, the study concludes that the understanding of this hadith has a deep meaning. Textually, the Hadīth underlines the importance of the obedience and piety of Allah's servants to His commands and the Oneness of Allah as the only God who has no partner and deserves to be worshipped. However, in a social context, Allah is inclusive, loving not only the odd-numbered but also the even-numbered ones. It is reflected in His command to worship and His creation, which includes various numbers, odd and even. Therefore, this hadith cannot be used as a guide for achieving individual or group goals. Hopefully, this article can serve as an essential foundation for further research on the meaning of the hadith related to Allah being "odd" and liking "odd". Hence, more in-depth studies using various approaches are needed for a more comprehensive understanding.
