Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to reveal the meaning of the development of flash media through the design of flash media development in history learning for the acquisition of learning the concept of Indonesian national movement. Further, the research applies the development research method by combining the Borg & Gall development model with the Dick & Carrey learning design model. Data were obtained through interviews, observations and tests that are occurred to research subjects. The flow of the implementation of this study through three main stages, namely (1) Flash media design stage, including analysis of learning objectives, learning analysis, identifying students, formulation of special objectives, and planning of flash media; (2) Stage of product development namely flash media profiles consisting product development, test instruments, learning strategies, developing and selecting teaching materials, designing and developing evaluation drafts, Revising learning packages; trial and revision stages, containing small group trials, initial product revisions, testing medium scale, product revision of the second trial, and large scale trial. (3) the learning process with high flash media, that is, 87.8% in the teacher's activities and 83.9% in the student's activities. (4) Furthermore, learning outcomes achieved by using flash media were the increase the average of mastery learning in the implementation of pre-test and post-test, from 54.5 to 90 with the results of t test (?) of 0.05 t count of 13.86> t table of 1.729. Keywords: Flash Media Learning Result.

Abstract

Anthill plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack.) or sarang semut is a native plant epiphytes from Indonesia. Anthill plants used as a medicinal because contains compounds active such as flavonoids, tannins and polyphenols that are beneficial to the human body. The aims of study to determine the influence of the media type of planting and the best of fertilization on the growth of anthill plants. This study consisted of two treatment are the first treatment plant seed germination anthill on different media of treatments that husk fuel, cocopeat, fern roots and moss. The second treatment is growth plant of anthill are using completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors different. The first factor is the growing media with 4 levels of fuel treatments, husk fuel, cocopeat, fern roots and moss. The second factor is a fertilizer with a second level of treatment that is with and without fertilizer (Gandasil D 2 g/L). Influence significantly of treatment we used Duncan test (DMRT) level of 95%. The results of study in the first treatment, anthill plant can germinate 100% in all treatment media. In the second treatment, the use of growing media and fertilizer significantly influenced the increase of plant height, leaf number and leaf area. The average of plant height in moss media with the addition of fertilizer of 35.75 mm, the highest number of leaves from all treatment media with the addition of fertilizer of 2,00 strands, the largest leaf area from cocopeat media with the addition of fertilizer of 77,02 mm2, and the increase of tubers diameter found in cocopeat media with the addition of fertilizer of 4.13 mm.

Abstract

AbstrakPenyemaian laban dengan menggunakan metode ekstraksi biji belum banyak dilakukan dan perlu penambahan bahan pembenah tanah untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan semai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstraksi biji dan kombinasi media tanam terhadap penyemaian laban (Vitex pinnata L. Kuntze). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu ekstraksi biji (A0= ekstraksi basah dan A1= ekstraksi kering) dan kombinasi media tanam (M0= Tanah, M1= tanah + pasir, M2= tanah + kompos, M3= tanah + cocopeat), masing-masing diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji varian (ANOVA) dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%, uji lanjut menggunakan uji Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada perlakuan ekstraksi biji kering dapat meningkatkan rata-rata persentase berkecambah sebesar 65,83% dan kecepatan tumbuh biji sebesar 3,25%, namun belum dapat meningkatkan pertambahan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah akhir, berat kering akhir dan laju pertumbuhan relatif. Kombinasi jenis media tanam tanah + kompos dapat meningkatkan persentase berkecambah sebesar 73,33% dan kecepatan tumbuh benih sebesar 3,40%. Penelitian ini sangat penting dalam penyiapan bibit siap tanam dalam budi daya V. pinnata.Abstract Seedling using seed extraction method has not been explored much and it needs to add soil enhancers to increase seedling growth. This research aims to determine the effect of seed extraction and combinations of planting media to seeding Laban (Vitex pinnata L. Kuntze). This research used a complete randomized design with two treatment factors namely seed extraction (A0= wet extraction, A1= dry extraction) and combinations of plant medium (M0= soil, M1= soil + sand, M2= soil + compost, M3= soil + cocopeat) were repeated three times each. The data were analyzed by using variance test (ANOVA) at 95% level of confidence and continued using Duncan test at 95% level of confidence. The result showed that the dry seed extract treatment increased the average of germination percentage by 65.83% and seed growth rate about 3.295% but could not increase plant height, leaf number, final wet weight, final dry weight dan relative growth rate. The combination of planting media  + compost increased the germination percentage by 73.33% and the seed growth about 3.40%, but not yet able to increase plant height, leaf number, final wet weight, final dry weight and relative growth rate of laban plant. This research is very important in preparing ready-to-plant seedlings in V. pinnata cultivation.

Abstract

Karya Njoo Cheong Seng, Raden Adjeng Moeria (1934) memberikan pandangan terhadap penolakan tradisi Barat. Raden Adjeng  Moeria diasumsikan  sebagai bentuk tanggapan Njoo Cheong Seng terhadap situasi sosial dari kelompok sosial tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi  pandangan dunia dan kelompok sosial yang diwakili oleh Njoo Cheong Seng dan (2) mengeksplorasi hasil tanggapan Njoo Cheong Seng terhadap situasi sosial yang berkembang pada era itu. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah sosiologi sastra. Hasil yang dicapai adalah bahwa (1) Njoo Cheong Seng mewakili kelompok sosial diaspora peranakan Tionghoa dan mendasarkan pandangan dunianya pada nilai dan tradisi leluhur (2) Raden Adjeng Moeria merupakan salah satu wujud perlawanan kultural terhadap persoalan modernisasi dan liberalisme di kalangan masyarakat itu. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeskplorasi konstruksi manusia Indonesia yang ideal menurut subjek terjajah dan mengeskplorasi dampaknya secara politis dan ideologis atas konstruksi identitas yang ditawarkan dalam drama di era Pujangga Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan sudut pandang kajian pascakolonial, terutama mengenai konsep identitas dalam masyarakat kolonial atau subjek terjajah dan bagaimana mereka mengartikulasikan identitas mereka. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah struktur drama (isi teks), latar sosial, dan gagasan di era drama itu. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah drama Sandhyakala ning Majapahit (yang terbit pertama kali tahun 1932) karya Sanusi Pane, Lukisan Masa (yang terbit pertama kali tahun 1937) karya Armijn Pane, dan Gadis Modern (yang terbit pertama kali tahun 1941) karya Adlin Affandi serta berbagai pustaka yang relevan dengan topik penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi identitas keindonesiaan dibangun atas dasar tradisi yang diadaptasikan dengan perubahan zaman. Subjek terjajah melakukan resistensi yang bersifat ambivalen sekaligus menunjukkan gagasan mimikri. Kata-Kata Kunci: identitas subjek terjajah, drama Pujangga Baru, kolonialisme Abstract: This research aims to explore the identity construction of ideal Indonesian, as well as colonial subject. In addition, the research also aims to explore the political and ideological implications of the identity construction. The identity construction is played by the Pujangga Baru?s plays. This research uses postcolonialism criticism especially the identity concept in the colonial society and how the colonial subject represents his/her identity. The research uses text structures, the ideas and concepts in those eras and the discourse of thinking as data. The data source is Sandhyakala ning Majapahit (1932) by Sanusi Pane, Lukisan Masa (1937) by Armijn Pane, and Gadis Modern (1941) by Adlin Affandi and other books relevant to this topic. The result of this research is that Indonesian identity construction is based on tradition adapted with the social changes or spirits of the ages. Abstract

Abstract

Nona Tjoe (Pertjinta'an Jang membawa Tjilaka) adalah sebuah cerita yang berbeda dari pcngarang ccrita peranakan China pada era 1920. Cerita ini juga memberikan karakteristik yang berbeda dari cerita-cerita Tio le Soci. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mcnjclaskan keadaan kehidupan sosial masyarakat/komunitas China yang ter-refleksi dalam Nona Tjoe Joe. Dengan memfokuskan pada representasi kehidupan komunitas China, tulisan ini berusaha mcnjawab beberapa pertanyaan "dimanakah kita sekarang dan apa yang terjadi dengan kehidupan kita sekarang dan akan datang" (2) bagaimana masyarakat China merespon pengaruh Barat (3) dengan analogi posisi wanita, seperti apa pilihan identitas peranakan China. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan itu, artikel ini memfokusukan pada teks sebagai refleksi fakta sosial. RÉSUMÉ. La traduction du Comte de Monte Cristo d'Alexandre Dumas dans la littérature indonésienne coloniale européenne (1900-1942) n'a pas été seulement appréciée par le transfert de langue, la traduction de texte ou l'adaptation. La traduction a reçu une réaction avec la création de nouvelles œuvres littéraires qui sont devenues des œuvres littéraires indonésiennes «authentiques», comme Hikajat Siti Mariah (1910-1912). Divers problèmes répondaient à la construction textuelle du Comte de Monte Cristo. L'étude tente d'étudier la construction de l'identité représentée dans les deux textes à partir des paramètres narratifs, tels que l'espace, le genre, le corps et les relations raciales, dans une perspective postcoloniale. Les objets matériels sont Le Comte de Monte Cristo et Hikajat iti Mariah. L'objet formel est la réaction de la littérature indonésienne envers Le Comte de Monte Cristo. Les données de cette recherche sont le fond sociologique de ces œuvres littéraires, la naation coloniale dans ce texte et le discours colonial. L'interprétation des données se fait par lecture du modèle de déconstuction. Le résultat de cette recherche, la première, Le Comte de Monte Cristo renforce le romantisme et le matérialisme dans la construction de l'identité. La seconde, l'idée est rejetée par Hikajat Siti Mariah (1910-1912) qui construit une identité basée sur le spiritisme comme force humaine.Mots-clés : identité, Hikajat Siti Mariah, Le Comte de Monte Cristo, traduction.  ABSTRACT. The translation of Le Comte de Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas in European colonial Indonesian literature (1900-1942) was not only appreciated through language transfer, text translation or adaptation. The translation received a reaction with the creation of new literary works that became "authentic" Indonesian literary works, such as Hikajat Siti Mariah (1910-1912). Various issues were responding to the textual construction of Le Comte de Monte Cristo. The study attempts to investigate the construction of the identity portrayed in the two texts from the narrative settings, such as space, gender, body, and race relations through a postcolonial perspective. The material object are Le Comte de Monte Cristo and Hikajat iti Mariah.  The formal object is reaction  Indonesia literature toward Le Comte de Monte Cristo Data this reseach are sociological backgrond  this literary works, colonial naation in this text, and colonial discourse. The interpretation data is done by deconstuction model reading. The result this research , the first,  Le Comte de Monte Cristo reinforces romanticism and materialism in the construction of identity. The second, the idea is rejected by Hikajat Siti Mariah (1910-1912) which constructs identity based on spiritualism as human strength.Keywords: identity, Hikajat Siti Mariah, Le Comte de Monte Cristo, translation.

Abstract

Goats are livestock that is financially very attractive to rural Indonesian. Efforts to solve problems related to goat farming are necessary. One of them is maintaining the health of the cattle by knowing how to cope with disease-stricken goats. Goat productivity will decrease if the treatment of the disease is sub-optimal. Goat diseases are very diverse, ranging from mild to severe. Breeders themselves can traditionally treat several diseases without the involvement of veterinarians or experts. However, a larger number of diseases need treatment with the help of experts. Expert systems are a potential solution to help farmers. It will automatically suggest decisions or conclusions in solving a problem. This study observes an expert system built using the Certainty Factor combined with Forward-Chaining. By combining the two methods, the information generated may discover the type of disease and suggest its management effectively with a high degree of certainty. The system can expectedly become a reference for goat breeders to consult about their goat livestock diseases. The knowledge base of the system uses 21 types of symptoms, eight types of diseases, and their solutions. The user does not need to input the belief value and the disbelief value that is usually input in the expert system. By involving the admin as a knowledge base processor, the correctness of the conveyed information maintains.

Abstract

Totemism is a belief in an animal or plant’s guiding spirit that is linked to a person’s character and destiny. Totemism manifests itself in tattoos as body decoration and symbols of hope, such as Yakuza tattoos (irezumi). This research aims to reveal the representation and meaning of totemistic irezumi worn by three Yakuza characters (Kazuma Kiryuu, Akira Nishikiyama, and Goro Majima) in two Yakuza-themed game series: Yakuza 0 (2015) and Yakuza Kiwami 1 (2016). These games provided the primary data in the form of images and conversations. Ricoeur’s hermeneutic theory was applied to examine the data, along with qualitative descriptive and interpretative methods. Analysis revealed differences between the meaning of tattoos shown in the Yakuza games and those existing in the real world. Kiryuu’s dragon tattoo represents the burden of responsibility; Nishiki’s koi tattoo represents the burden of being a great individual; and Majima’s tattoo represents an emotional burden. Thus, the entities shown in those irezumi can be said to represent psychological burden and influence their bearers’ as personal totems.
