Abstract

This research arose because there was an error or shift from the share location on the smartphone. As for evaluating the accuracy of share location with several variations of smartphones that are usually used by goods delivery services using WhatsApp and Telegram applications using four android smartphones by comparing RMSE and CDF values. The results show that the average RMSE WhatsApp error is 11-21 meters, while Telegram is 16-37 meters. WhatsApp's CDF on S4 shows the lowest error distribution around a low of less than 20 meters, while Telegram's PDF shows an error distribution of around 30 meters. In the CDF analysis, WhatsApp showed a faster distribution reaching a value of 1, indicating higher accuracy, while Telegram had a slower and wider distribution, indicating lower instability and accuracy.

Abstract

This study aims to identify earthquake clustering patterns in the Northern Lombok–Flores Back-Arc Zone using the Agglomerative Clustering method. Seismic data were obtained from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) covering the period 1970–2021, using latitude, longitude, depth, and magnitude as clustering variables. A sliding window approach was applied to capture the temporal evolution of seismic activity. The results indicate the formation of three stable clusters that consistently represent different earthquake depth levels across all analyzed time windows. Although fluctuations in the occurrence of large-magnitude earthquakes were observed in several windows, these variations did not significantly affect the clustering structure. This study demonstrates that the combination of Agglomerative Clustering and a sliding window approach is effective for identifying depth-based earthquake clustering patterns and describing their temporal dynamics

Abstract

Three key elements are needed to utilize renewable energy within a community: technological readiness, human resource readiness, and data on local energy potential. Human resource readiness can be measured based on the community's knowledge of renewable energy. Similarly, farmer groups, as part of the human resource that requires energy for their activities, both at home and in the workplace, need to prepare themselves with knowledge about renewable energy utilization to meet future needs. ‘Remaja Tani Serba Guna Buani’, one of the farmers group in Buani Hamlet, also needs assistance in preparing itself for renewable energy utilization. This is due to the lower-middle educational background of its members and the lack of sosialization to them. Therefore, sosialization on renewable energy is necessary to help them understand the various types of renewable energy and the potential for renewable energy in their area to support sustainable energy conservation. This activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation revealed that 73.69% of participants answered the questions with a score of "fair to excellent," while 26.31% of participants answered the questions with a score of "very poor to poor." This indicates that the sosialization activities provided understanding to the majority of the farmer group members.

Abstract

Sembalun Bumbung Village, East Lombok, faces the problem of river pollution due to the disposal of livestock manure and garbage (organic waste), which on the other hand has great potential to be processed into fertilizer and biogas as an alternative energy that is economical, environmentally friendly, and sustainable. A boarding school in the At-Tazkiyyah Sembalun Qur'an House which is also a center for community empowerment, in order to meet energy needs while reducing environmental pollution. The methods used include training and assistance to students and the community about the management of waste (organic waste), starting from fermentation, the use of fermented gas for cooking and electricity, to the use of residual waste as organic fertilizer, as well as community service programs aimed at designing and implementing an organic fertilizer processing system and biogas filter based on the treatment of bio-slurry waste and baglog waste at the At-Tazkiyyah Qur'an House Sigh. The program is holistic between the community and university institutions of the University of Mataram.

Abstract

Gunung Jae Tourism Area in Sedau Village, West Lombok Regency, is a natural tourist destination that continues to develop but still faces limitations in basic infrastructure, particularly electrical installations and street lighting systems. These limitations reduce visitor safety, comfort, and restrict nighttime tourism activities. This community service program aimed to improve electrical infrastructure through electrical installation upgrades and the implementation of a community-based Street Lighting System (SLS). The implementation methods included site surveys, technical planning, material preparation, system installation, and functional testing. The program was carried out over two days involving lecturers, students, and local communities through a participatory approach. The results showed that the street lighting system was successfully installed and operated according to lighting standards. The program improved nighttime visibility in the tourism area, enhanced visitor safety, and supported local economic activities based on tourism development. In addition, the program strengthened students’ technical competencies and increased community awareness regarding safe, efficient, and sustainable electrical infrastructure management.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has increased the demand for energy-efficient wireless communication systems and others under various environmental conditions. LoRa (Long Range) technology has attracted considerable attention due to its ability to support long-distance transmission with low power consumption. However, most existing LoRa network implementations rely on single-hop or non-redundant statistical routing to the gateway point, making them vulnerable to link degradation or node failure. This study enhances the statistical routing mechanism with path redundancy implemented on an ESP32 microcontroller and an SX1276 LoRa transceiver module to improve communication transmission. The network topology is modeled using graph theory, where each node is represented as a vertex and communication paths are represented as weighted edges based on the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). The primary and backup routes are derived from the minimum-weighted path in the graph. Experimental results show that incorporating path redundancy improves the packet delivery ratio (PDR) and maintains communication continuity during primary path quality degradation. The proposed approach demonstrates the feasibility of a reliable multi-hop LoRa network using statistical routing with graph-based path redundancy.
