Abstract

Prevention of the effects caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes and landslides requires analysis of vibration propagation. In outdoor applications, internet sources such as WIFI are not always available, so it requires alternative data communications such as nRF24l01. The system also requires a portable power source such as solar power. This research aims to develop a vibration propagation analysis system based on the nRF24l01 wireless sensor network and solar power by implementing the fuzzy rule-based regression (FRBR) algorithm. The system consists of two piezoelectric and nrf24l01 vibration sensors. The system also uses a third node equipped with temperature and soil moisture sensors, air temperature and humidity, and light intensity as environmental variables. The evaluation results show the Quality of Services (QoS) results with a throughput of 99.564%, PDR 99.675%, and a delay of 0.0073s. The Fuzzy Association Rule (FAR) extraction results yield nine rules with average support of 0.319 and confidence of 1 for vibration propagation. The availability of solar power was evaluated with an average current value of 0.250A and a voltage of 3.266V. The results of FRBR are based on the propagation of the vibration that propagated and produced a mean square error (MSE) of 0.141 and a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.165. The correlation matrix and FAR results show that only soil moisture has a major effect on the magnitude and duration of propagation. However, other variables can regress soil moisture with MSE 0.232 and MAE 0.287.

Abstract

The importance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Air Conditioning (MEP) cannot be overlooked, as these systems are interconnected to create a comfortable and safe environment. For example, without a good electrical system, mechanical devices such as air conditioners and heaters cannot function. Similarly, without adequate plumbing, the provision of clean water inside the building will inevitably be disrupted. MEP also affects the energy efficiency and operations of buildings, which ultimately impacts the comfort of its occupants. With a better understanding of MEPs, both developers and building users can ensure that each component is functioning properly. For MEP workers, each mass per group consists of 5-10 people, provided with 6 groups, so that the total number of workers is around 30 people. For this service stage, only 20 people registered and attended. The result of this service is consistency, standards, and efficiency in the operation of good building management. Abstract

Rainfall prediction is crucial for urban planning, agriculture, and disaster mitigation. This study predicts rainfall intensity in Mataram City using the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), a variant of Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) optimized for sequential data. The dataset consists of hourly rainfall data from NASA's MERRA Power (2010–2021). Data preprocessing includes normalization, feature engineering, and dataset splitting. The GRU model architecture comprises input, GRU, and dense layers. Model performance is evaluated using Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), yielding 67, 112, 69, and 109 for Ampenan, Cakranegara, Majeluk, and Selaparang, respectively. Results show that the GRU model captures rainfall trends but has limitations in predicting extreme values. This study demonstrates GRU’s potential for improving rainfall forecasting while highlighting the need for further optimization to enhance accuracy.

Abstract

Online games are a worldwide achievement supported by technological advances that want the best for smartphone users. A weakness or failure in wireless communication is the propagation of the path used. Service providers or provaider have advantages and disadvantages. One of the things that makes it different is the weather conditions, normal weather conditions and rain. Special measurements in Ranked mode, which are carried out in the championship as a single target in order to be the winner, the stability of the connection is crucial to ensure that players can play without any network connection interruptions. This paper contributes to revealing the online game process by analyzing the performance performance of three internet providers (Telkomsel, XL, and Tri) in playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, especially in Ranked mode. Measurement using Mi-Fi with postpaid access (no quota restrictions) as an assumption of the same conditions for each provaider. Measurements are carried out using key parameters such as throughput, packet loss, and delay so that the results of the analysis are obtained using statistical methods to search for averages and variances. The results of the analysis from the calculation were obtained that Telkomsel outperformed XL and Tri.

Abstract

This study analyzes coastal hazards and disaster mitigation strategies in the coastal tourism area of Korleko Selatan Village, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The main threats identified are coastal abrasion caused by high waves, longshore currents, and oceanographic dynamics, as well as the risk of drowning accidents due to the lack of safety facilities. The research employed a qualitative approach by analyzing satellite imagery, maritime weather forecasts, and literature reviews. Findings indicate that coastal abrasion in Korleko Selatan reaches 1–3 meters annually, worsened by extreme wave conditions of 2.5–4.0 meters during the southeast monsoon period. Additionally, low tourist awareness and limited regulations exacerbate marine accident risks. The proposed mitigation strategies include structural measures (seawalls, breakwaters, mangrove and coral reef rehabilitation) and non-structural measures (risk-based spatial planning, early warning systems, tourist education, evacuation drills, and strengthening local institutions). Integrating disaster mitigation into village development policies and fostering multi-sector collaboration are considered essential to reduce vulnerability and enhance the resilience of coastal communities against increasing disaster threats.

Abstract

We analyzed the seismic signals of the Mount Rinjani station to identify possible seismic anomalies before a series of major earthquakes on Lombok Island in 2018. We observe anomalies before earthquake events Mw >= 5.90. This research applies the detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) method to investigate possible earthquake precursors associated with the analyzed earthquake. The results showed a relationship between scaling seismic signals (α) that exceeds the threshold of α values during the analysis period, and there is a deviation of the root mean square fluctuations in the corresponding scaling that should be rising but constant. The value of α with constant root mean square fluctuations occurs one to three days before the preliminary earthquake Mw 6.40 (28/07/2018) UTC and eight to 10 days before the main earthquake Mw 6.90 (05/08/2018). The Mw 6.90 earthquake had the most magnitude and could significantly contribute to the appearance of seismic anomalies.
