Abstract

Didactic transposition helps bridge the gap between formal mathematical knowledge and classroom instruction, ensuring more effective material delivery aligned with students’ needs. The purpose of this study was to explore how linear equations of one variable are taught to eighth-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah based on the didactic transposition approach. This study focuses on the knowledge transfer stage of a didactic transposition study on linear equations of one variable, using qualitative research with a descriptive method. The study’s results showed that the presentation of material in the teaching and learning process led to a shift in understanding of linear equations of one variable from the concept of linear equations of one variable in a didactic context. Incomplete explanations of linear equations with one variable cause learning obstacles. Ontogenic obstacles arise from students’ cognitive limitations, epistemic obstacles from conceptual complexity, and didactic obstacles from ineffective teaching strategies. This study is conducted because didactic transposition can bridge the gap between formal mathematical knowledge and classroom instruction, yet it may also create learning obstacles. The findings can help improve teaching strategies by addressing conceptual gaps and learning obstacles, making mathematics instruction more effective for students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah.

Abstract

Abstract Everyone who learns a language produce errors. The errors occurring in the process of learning a foreign language should be considered as natural process. This study aims at  describing the sources of the grammatical errors made by the second year students of English Department at Faculty of Teaching Training and Education Nusantara PGRI University in writing subject focuses on using of expressing time and using past form. The closed ended questionnaire and structured interview were used to know the sources of cause of the error of the twenty four students.The result of the data analysis showed that  the highest sources of the errors  is interlingual transfer,there were 85% students, it means that the students were influenced much by the grammatical structure of native language (Indonesian) in making sentences. It is suggested that the English teachers not translated the part of the sentences one by one as it  caused the students get confused and make the errors. Key words: Grammatical Error, Intralingual, Interlingual, Communication Strategies.

Abstract

Bahan ajar atau sering disebut sebagai materi pelajaran merupakan bagian terpenting dalam proses pembelajaran, materi pelajaran merupakan inti dari kegiatan pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, pada hakekatnya merupakan kondisi yang unik, sebab secara sengaja atau tidak sengaja masing-masing pihak berada dalam suasana belajar. Jadi tenaga pengajar sebenarnya tidak langsung juga melakukan kegiatan belajar. Seorang tenaga pengajar dalam menjalankan proses pembelajaran membutuhkan suatu bahan ajar karena digunakan untuk membantunya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Dan dari proses belajar mengajar ini akan diperoleh suatu hasil yang pada umumnya disebut hasil pengajaran. Salah satu masalah penting yang sering dihadapi oleh tenaga pengajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran adalah memilih atau menentukan bahan ajar atau materi pembelajaran yang tepat dalam rangka membantu siswa mencapai kompetensi. Dengan melakukan pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar kepada para tenaga pengajar diasosiasi Kampung Bahasa Inggris Pare diharapkan bahwa para tenaga pengajar ini bisa menjadi a) pengajar yang berkompentensi sesuai dengan bidang ilmu/kepakarannya, b) para tenaga pengajar diharapkan akan memiliki kemampuan mengembangkan bahan ajar secara tepat yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Beberapa kali pertemuan dilakukan untuk menyajikan materi yang lebih tepat guna kepada para tenaga pengajar. Sehingga para tenaga pengajar akan memiliki kemampuan memahami apa yang dibutuhkan oleh siswanya terutama setelah mereka lulus dari Lembaga Bahasa Inggris tersebut.

Abstract

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, teachers are required to carry out online learning. They may utilize technology in implementing the learning. They can choose one of interesting and interactive learning media in order to motivate their students and to promote learning. Based on the preliminary study in SMK PGRI 3 Kediri, it was found out that many teachers had not utilized the available learning platform. They only applied the application they were familiar to support their online learning, such as WhatsApp, Google Class, and Google Meet. Realizing the facts, the community service team carried out a training for the teachers to use interactive platform as media for learning, called Edmodo. The objectives the program were to train the teachers to use Edmodo platform for interactive learning, that included how to make new Edmodo accounts, how to make use the available facilities in Edmodo, and to train the school administrator to manage the program. The training was carried out in one month using in-and-on basis. The results of the training were that all teachers have already had Edmodo accounts and their account are connected with Edmodo group, which could be monitored by the school administrator.
