Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based interactive learning media on isim dhamir to improve the comprehension and learning autonomy of eleventh-grade students at MA Miftahul Ulum Al-Azizah. The study stems from students’ low interest in learning Arabic grammar, mainly due to the use of conventional teaching methods that do not align with the characteristics of digital-native learners. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Validation results showed a content feasibility level of 97.72% and a design quality score of 96.21%, indicating that the media is highly appropriate and engaging. A limited trial was conducted with 21 students as the sample. In the effectiveness test, a Paired Sample T-Test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test results. The students’ average score increased from 24.6 to 85.4, with a gain of 60.8 points. Moreover, the correlation value of r = 0.666 demonstrated a strong positive relationship between the two scores. The developed product includes explanations of isim dhamir, interactive quizzes, educational games, and an online score-tracking system. The findings confirm that this media effectively enhances learning outcomes and makes the learning process more engaging. However, the study is limited by its small sample size and focus on a single grammatical topic.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of the C3T method and Kahoot-based interactive tests to improve the quality of Arabic language learning assessment at SMP Jalaluddin Rumi Junior High School, Jember. It addresses the limited use of formative and interactive assessment in Arabic instruction, where conventional evaluation methods remain dominant and less effective in developing speed, accuracy, and collaboration. The study employed Classroom Action Research based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model in two cycles involving 21 seventh-grade students divided into seven groups. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques within a formative assessment framework. The findings show continuous improvement in both learning process and outcomes. Student participation, collaboration, and engagement increased from Cycle I to Cycle II, along with more effective classroom interaction. Quantitatively, the average group score improved from 6.78 to 7.71 across all groups. These results indicate that the integration of the C3T method with interactive assessment contributes to a more formative, objective, and efficient evaluation system through real-time feedback, time constraints, and collaborative learning. The novelty lies in systematically combining C3T with interactive digital formative assessment that emphasizes speed, accuracy, collaboration, and immediate feedback. In conclusion, this integration contributes to improving Arabic language assessment quality, although its implementation is influenced by technological access, classroom management, and student discipline.

Abstract

Arabic language learning, particularly speaking skills (mahārah kalām), still faces various challenges, such as the use of conventional methods and low student participation. With the advancement of technology, the use of digital media has become an innovative alternative to enhance learning effectiveness. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Durusullughah application in improving the Arabic speaking skills of seventh-grade students at MTsN 5 Jember. The results indicate a significant improvement in speaking ability among students in the experimental class compared to the control class, as evidenced by a post-test average score of 77.59 in the experimental class and 64.07 in the control class. Furthermore, the statistical test results showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) strategy in Arabic language learning at SMP Plus Darus Sholah Jember and its impact on the development of students' critical thinking skills. By using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that HOTS strategies are implemented through cooperative learning models, the use of interactive media such as Kahoot, Quizizz, and crossword puzzles, as well as group projects based on analysis and creation. This strategy succeeded in creating an active, collaborative, and fun learning atmosphere, which encouraged students to develop the ability to analyze, evaluate, and create new information in Arabic. Specifically, the findings reveal that students demonstrated improvement in analyzing simple Arabic texts, were able to formulate questions and arguments in Arabic during group discussions, and showed increased ability in creating short written compositions based on given themes. In addition, teachers play an active role in modifying teaching materials to fit the principles of HOTS, although the limited HOTS content in textbooks is a challenge. This study concludes that HOTS-based learning contributes greatly to forming students who think critically, creatively, and adaptively to global challenges. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for educators in designing Arabic learning strategies that are more relevant to the demands of the modern era.
