Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the PT TIMAH Tbk sea reclamation program, specifically the artificial reef program. The research was conducted from March to July 2024 at the artificial reef module sinking locations for the Obligatory Years of 2019, 2021, and 2023. The fish data collection method used a modification of the Belt Transect. The biomass calculation method was modified by adding several fish families that are economically valuable target fish. The location of the 2021 Obligatory Year artificial reef modules had the highest number of fish species (40 species), the highest H' value (3.20), and the heaviest biomass (2,908.80 kg/ha). The range of diversity values at all locations was between 1.80-3.20, falling under the criteria of "moderate" and "high." The range of dominance index values was between 0.06-0.36, falling under the "moderate" criteria. The range of evenness values was between 0.34-0.53, falling under the "moderate" and "low" criteria. The range of fish biomass values was between 129.66-2,908.80 kg/ha. The longer the artificial reef modules were submerged, the more schooling fish species increased, while target fish species decreased due to fishing activities. The criteria for the value analysis results refer to the criteria used for natural habitat calculations (coral reefs). Researchers recommend specific value criteria for artificial habitats in disturbed environmental conditions (offshore mining activities).

Abstract

Kesimpulannya yaitu  HIO terbukti menghambat proses pencoklatan enzimatis pada buah apelAbstract            Reaction of enzymatic browning in fruit is a reaction that occurs due to the oxidation of phenol and involves the enzyme polyphenol oxidase (PPO). Prevention of browning reactions can be done by inhibiting PPO activity, one of alternative is to use hypoodous acid (HIO). The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of HIO to inhibit the browning reaction and to know the mechanism inhibition type based on the color change in apples. The color change was analyzed by observing the color change based on the L * value. The result of this research is HIO proven to inhibit enzymatic browning process on apple fruit by yielding three Michaelis-Menten curves and has Vmax, Vmax ', Vmax ", Km, Km', Km 'and Ki values respectively of 6,05 ; 5.60; 5.25; 3.05; 2.80; 2.61; and 0.659. In conclusion, HIO can inhibit the process of browning apple with non-competitive inhibition type.

Abstract

This article presents a theoretical study of Istiṣlaḥ and also its application to the MUI fatwa of Jambi Province. The four fatwas studied include; fatwas about religious lectures, the bride and groom sitting side by side at wedding receptions, friendship between Muslims and other people, and fatwas about the commemoration of Islamic holidays. The main problem studied is what is the position of Istiṣlaḥ and its application to the MUI fatwa of Jambi Province? This article comes from qualitative phenomenological research which examines the phenomenon of fatwa application using the Istiṣlaḥ paradigm on four cases that are the focus. The results of the research show that in implementing the fatwa with the application of the principles of al-Istiṣlaḥ, the Jambi MUI succeeded in getting out of its attachment to certain schools of jurisprudence. The use of fatwa using Istiṣlaḥ independently is not found in the uṣūl fiqh of the Syafi'i school, nor in the practice of its fiqh issues, while the MUI fatwa uses it. The MUI fatwa continues to follow the patterns and manhaj outlined by sectarian scholars, even though it does not limit itself to certain sects.

Abstract

Gunung Village in Simo District is an area that has a low harvested area compared to other villages. It is recorded from the official page in the Simo District statistics source from the Simo District agricultural extension agency, that Gunung Village has a harvested area of 221 (Ha) in 2020 even though the population is working as farmers is much greater than in other villages. This research aims to determine the Empowerment of Farming Communities by the Government of Gunung Village, Simo District, Boyolali Regency in Increasing the Level of Farmers' Welfare Based on Central Java Governor Regulation No. 55 of 2019 concerning Planning for the Protection and Empowerment of Farming Communities in Central Java Province. The method used in this research is a case study with a descriptive qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the Gunung Village Government, Simo District, Boyolali Regency has not fully implemented Central Java Governor Regulation No. 55 of 2019 concerning Planning for the Protection and Empowerment of Farming Communities in Central Java Province. However, the regional government must also increase its role in implementing the Governor's Regulation so that the standard of living of farmers in Central Java, especially in Mountain Village, can improve further.

Abstract

This study investigates the potential of e-portfolios to enhance vocabulary mastery and speaking ability in non-English as Foreign Language  (EFL) students. Specifically, it explores the impact of e-portfolios on  vocabulary acquisition, speaking fluency, and pronunciation accuracy in a non-EFL setting. The study employs a mixed-methods approach. A  quantitative design with pre- and post-intervention tests measures vocabulary  knowledge and speaking skills. A qualitative strand uses interviews and document analysis to explore students' perceptions and experiences with e-portfolios. Sixty non-EFL students are randomly assigned to an experimental  group using e-portfolios and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Quantitative data is analysed using statistical tests to compare pre- and post-intervention performance between groups. Qualitative data is thematically analysed to identify emergent themes related to students' experiences with e-portfolios. The study expects to demonstrate that e-portfolios can effectively enhance vocabulary mastery and speaking ability in non-EFL students. Findings will contribute to the understanding of e-portfolio implementation in non-EFL contexts and inform pedagogical practices for improving vocabulary  speaking skills. This study stands out by investigating the efficacy of e-portfolios in a non-EFL setting, addressing a gap in existing research. Additionally, the mixed-methods approach provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact of e-portfolios on both learning outcomes and learner experiences.

Abstract

One of the mandatories of Law No. 6/2014 on Villages is the obligation to establish a Village-Owned Enterprise or Bumdesa. Village owned enterprise (VOE) is the motor of economic mobilisation in the village as stated in Article 5. Kadubereum Village in Serang Regency is a village with agricultural and plantation potential. Based on the potential of the village, VOE Sejahtera was formed with superior products from the plantation, namely purple sweet potatoes. However, in its development, there are obstacles related to marketing, raw materials and also the budget in the business development of VOE Sejahtera. This research aims to analysis what strategies can be done to develop VOE Sejahtera business. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection through FGDs on VOE management, village officials and community leaders. The results showed that from environmental observations, the formation of BUMDes Sejahtera aims to utilise the community's plantation products in the form of purple sweet potatoes which often experience low selling prices when the harvest arrives. The strategy developed was to make purple sweet potato chips covered in chocolate and labelled UCOK. Unfortunately, the marketing of UCOK products is still in the local market even though it has entered minimarkets or retailers in Serang Regency. The Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs of Serang Regency has provided training to the VOE management in the form of packaging and registering a certificate from BPOM Serang
