Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menentukan karakteristik buku pengayaan, mengembangkan profil buku pengayaan, dan menguji keefektifan buku pengayaan menulis teks hasil observasi bermuatan multikultural berbasis proyek baca tulis untuk siswa SMP. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah R & D. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan karakteristik buku pengayaan menurut persepsi peserta didik dan pendidik sesuai dengan prinsip kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, kelayakan kebahasaan, dan kelayakan kegrafikaan dan profil buku pengayaan dengan judul “Aktif Menulis: Cara Praktis Menulis Teks Hasil Observasi Bermuatan Multikultural Berbasis Proyek Baca Tulis”, validasi ahli dan pengguna. Uji keefektifan buku pengayaan dilakukan berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli dan uji empiris. Hasil uji keefektifan ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan pada komponen menulis teks hasil observasi kurang dari 0,05, artinya adanya perbedaan antara pre tes dengan post tes, sehingga efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran sebagai sumber bahan pengayaan materi menulis teks hasil observasi. Buku pengayaan menulis teks hasil observasi layak dan efektif digunakan.The study comes with the purpose of determining the characteristics, develop a profile, and test the effectiveness of enrichment books written text based on the observation of charged multicultural literacy project for junior high school students. This study uses R&D. Based on the research results generated by the analysis of the characteristics of enrichment books perceptions of learners and educators, such as the contents of the principles of feasibility, feasibility presentation, linguistic appropriateness and feasibility graph; profile enrichment premises book entitled "On Writing: How to Write Text Practical Observations Charged Based Multicultural Literacy Project", expert validation that two linguistic expert lecturers and learning materials, and two Indonesian teachers; and the results of testing the effectiveness of enrichment books based on the results of expert validation and empirical test. The test results showed that the effectiveness of significant value to the components write text on the observation of less than 0.05, meaning that the difference between the pre-test to post-test, so effectively used in learning as a source of material enrichment write text on the observation. Enrichment books write text on the observation feasible and effective to use.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effectiveness of learning skills of expository writing of multicultural exposition with CIRC model and TTW model based on personality type of student class X as well as explaining the interaction of learning writing exposition text in multicultural expression with CIRC model and TTW model based on personality type of student class X. This research uses a quasi-experimental factorial design. In this design, there are two experimental groups namely cooperative integrated reading and composition class and think talk write experiment class. The results of the study are (1) the CIRC model was effectively used in teaching expository writing for introverted students, (2) the TTW model was effectively used in teaching expository texts for extroverted learners, and (3) The CIRC model is more effective than the TTW model. The average value of both is 88.73 > 84.64. It shows that between CIRC class and TTW class there is a significant difference.

Abstract

Batak Society as newcomers or minority in Semarang accommodates its language. One of the domains requiring accommodation is trading. The purpose of this research is to analyze Batak society language accommodation in trading domain to Javanese in Semarang. The research uses sociolinguistics approach as its methodology. The data is collected by using observation and record as the basic techniques. Then it is continued by participant observation, free involved observation, recording, and noting. The data analysis is done using coding method and interactive model. Based on the findings, they show the accommodation pattern are (1) pattern of Javanese  accommodation convergent, (2) pattern of Javanese accommodation most convergent, (3)  pattern of Batak Toba language accommodation  divergent, (4) pattern of Batak Karo language accommodation  divergent, and (5) pattern of Batak Simalungun language accommodation divergent.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on high school students with extrovert personality, examine the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on high school students introvert personality, and investigate the comparison of the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on extrovert and introvert personality students. To achieve these purposes, this study used quasi experimental design (Non Equivalent Control Group Design). Meanwhile, the samples of this study were taken from the ability of students’ poetry reading in class X or tenth grade of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Kajen and State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Wiradesa. The results of this study showed that the mean score of the posttess of poetry reading learning by using draladater model on extrovert personality of 82.3, while the mean score of poetry reading learning with draladater model on introvert personality student was 77.4. It shows that the average score of poetry reading with draladater model on extrovert personality student was greater than on introvert students. Thus, poetry reading learning with draladater model is more effective to be applied on extrovert personality students than the introvert one.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the language choice of multi-ethnic community in family area at Permai ATM Housing. The data collected through the refer method consists of basic and advanced technique,                                   the basic technique was tapping technique, and advanced techniques, namely I: a technique of speech live free refer (SBLC), technique II: recording technique, technique III: record technique. The determinant unsure technique (PUP) and the differential distinguishing technique (HBB) were used to analyze the data. The language choice of multi-ethnic community in the family area at Permai ATM Housing included single variations of languages covered Malay-Banggai, Banggai, Saluan, Balantak, Banjar, and Bugis; codes switch included Saluan to Bahasa Indonesia, Banjar to Malay-Banggai; and code mixes included word insertion of Malay-Banggai, into Bahasa Indonesia and Banggai to Malay-Banggai, phrase insertion included Saluan to Bahasa Indonesia and Malay-Banggai to Bahasa Indonesia, and baster insertion included Banggai into Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Politeness is a social phenomenon and a way to create good relationships between people. Teacher speech has an important role in the character building of learners so that teachers should use polite language. Through the politeness of speech teachers can form a positive character of learners. This study aims to analyze the realization of compliance and violation of the principle of politeness and language politeness strategies in the speech of elementary school teachers in the formation of learner characters in the classroom. The research approach used is theoretical approach and methodological approach. The theoretical approach used is the pragmatic approach, while the methodological approach used is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research were collected through the simak method consisting of the technique of independent libat cognate (SBLC), recording technique and recording technique. Data analysis method used is method of normative method and heuristic technique. The results of the analysis found the realization of compliance, used by elementary school teachers in shaping the character of learners in the classroom.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the construction of literacy competence of junior high school students based on PISA standards. The construction of literacy competence in junior high school students could be viewed from reading competence and writing competence. This study used quantitative descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that 96% students were able to find and get information in the text, 88.3% were able to understand and interpret the text, 66.7% students were able to identify the text, 35% were able to reflect the contents of the text, and 37.5% were able to evaluate the text, while for writing competence 78% students were able to write well according to the organization, language use, and function of the text. The analysis results of the construction of literacy competence could be used as references to improve the literacy competence of junior high school students.

Abstract

The private television program presented by Presenter-Comedian Sule and Andre, This Talkshow, is popular with the public because of the presenter's humorous cohesiveness. Violations of the principle of cooperation cause the humorous effect of the language used by the participants based on age, sex, and social status. This research was conducted to analyze the violation of the principle of cooperation in a humorous speech in this talk show using sociopragmatic studies. Sociopragmatics essentially combines two types of studies, namely Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics. Data collection was carried out by a referring method which was continued with skillful in-flight listening techniques and accompanied by recording and recording techniques. Data analysis was performed using the comparing pragmatic method and method of agih. Based on the results of this study, the creation of humorous speeches is carried out by speakers by utilizing violations of the maxims of the principle of cooperation in humorous speech as a source of creativity. Violations of the principle of cooperation often function as supporting humor.

Abstract

Guna membuktikan keefektifan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition(CIRC)dan Latihan Penelitian pada pembelajaran  meringkas isi buku terhadap peserta didik yang berkreativitas  Verbal berbeda serta menjelaskan adanya interaksi antara kedua perlakuan tersebut. Disain penelitian termasuk jenis quasi experiment dengan desain pemasangan subjek melalui tes awal-tes akhir pada kelas eksperimen.  Sampel penelitian ini adalah kemampuan meringkas isi buku peserta didik  kelas VB SD Negeri Pakis 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VA SD Negeri Bawang1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes hasil belajar,  observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah  ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) 2x2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  dalam pembelajaran meringkas isi buku (1) model CIRC efektif bagi peserta didik berkreativitas verbal rendah dan tinggi, dengan nilai 72,38 dan 87,42; (2) model Latihan Penelitian lebih efektif digunakan bagi peserta didik yang berkreativitas verbal tinggi, dengan nilai 79,24; (3) nilai rata-rata peserta didik pada pembelajaran dengan model CIRC lebih tinggi daripada Latihan Penelitian, yaitu 79,00>74,79. Kesimpulannya, dalam pembelajaran meringkas isi buku, CIRC lebih efektif daripada Latihan Penelitian dalam interaksinya dengan perbedaan kreativitas verbal peserta didik.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the form of reinforcement which given by teachers on its implementation in elementary school. This qualitative study uses data collecting technique in the form of observation and interview. The data were analyzed by using triangulation method. The results showed that there were two forms of reinforcement given by teachers in elementary school, namely verbal and non verbal reinforcements. Verbal reinforcement consists of 3 forms, namely: the form of verbal reinforcement of word, phrase, and sentence. The form of verbal reinforcement of word consists of 3 forms, namely: the form of verbal reinforcement of the numeral word, adjective, and interjection. The form of verbal reinforcement of phrases consists of 2 forms, namely: verbal reinforcement of verbal phrase and adjective phrase. The form of verbal reinforcement of sentence consists of 3 forms, namely: the form of verbal reinforcement of news sentence, command sentence, and interjection sentence. The reinforcement form that is often provided by the teacher in its implementation ofthe Elementary School is a form of non verbal reinforcement.
