Abstract

The Malay language that is spoken in Karimun Regency is a unique and diverse language. The uniqueness and diversity of the Malay language lies in phonology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the phonological variations and phonological differences of the Malay language in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands. The focused places of this study are located in three districts, namely Karimun District, West-Kundur District and Moro District. This study uses a dialect geography approach and qualitative descriptive. The data were collected by using the listening that is followed by simak libat cakap method, recording, and taking notes technique. The results showed that the Karimun Malay language has phonological variations in the form of vowel and consonant variations. Phonological variations happen due to geographic locations between different observation areas and they are obliviously limited to other regions. The phonological differences of the Karimun Malay language in the three observation places are categorized in speech difference. The results of data calculated is analyzed the phonological dialectometric method of Karimun Malay language in the three observation places is 4-7% in percentage.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the humanist expressive speech acts of journalists in the covid-19 outbreak. The data collection technique was carried out by using the free non-participatory technique. The sources of data are the journalists’ utterances on YouTube in the covid-19 Outbreak. The humanist expressive speech act forms used by journalists, is 58% used the direct speech act forms with imperative, interrogative, and declarative modes; and 42% forms of indirect speech acts were declarative-imperative and declarative-interrogative modes. Results of this study shows that journalists use the forms of direct speech acts with declarative mode mostly. The form of indirect speech acts with the declarative-imperative mode are mostly used by the journalists. This research is important to be a journalist's guide so that the utterances spoken can be accepted by the society in the covid-19 outbreak

Abstract

Speech acts in learning interactions in the classroom are an interesting phenomenon to study because social interactions occur naturally. This study aimed to analyze the form and function of humanist expressive speech in the discourse of learning interactions at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang. This research uses a pragmatic approach. The data of this study are fragments of humanist expressive speech in learning interactions at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang. Data collection was carried out by observing the tapping technique using a recording device. Data analysis using the equivalent method. The data analysis technique is the Determining Element Sorting (PUP) technique; the validity of the data uses data triangulation and theoretical triangulation. The results of this study revealed that there are direct and indirect forms of speech. Direct speech mode includes declarative mode, imperative mode, and interrogative mode. The direct speech mode includes imperative-declarative mode and interrogative-imperative mode. The speech functions found 8 functions, including (1) thanking, (2) praising, (3) apologizing, (4) suggesting, (5) educating, (6) disappointed, (7) motivating, and (8) grateful.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of violations of the principles of politeness in the speech of teachers and students in learning interactions. This study aims to describe the form of speech politeness violations of teachers and students in learning interactions in madrasas. The data collection method used is the listening method with recording and note-taking techniques using data cards. The method used in data analysis is a normative method, matching data based on the criteria of politeness principles. Data analysis used Leech's theory of politeness principles. The results of the research on violations of politeness principles in learning interactions in madrasas are it is found that the utterances of teachers and students violate the principles of politeness, namely: 10 utterances that violate the maxims of wisdom; 6 utterances violate the maxim of generosity; 8 utterances violate the maxim of appreciation; 7 utterances violate the maxim of simplicity; 7 utterances violate the maxim of agreement; and 6 utterances violate the maxim of sympathy. Violations occur when teachers and students interact during the learning process both inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Expository texts writing is important skill in stimulating students' abilities for expressing various thoughts, ideas, opinions, facts. Also, can improve students' abilities in using proper Indonesian. The effectiveness of learning expository texts writing can be increased through the selection of appropriate learning media. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of learning writing expository texts contained disaster mitigation using video based on the creativity level of students in class X. The level of creativity of students is a moderate variable that can affect learning outcomes. This experimental research used a quasi-experimental factory design. Data collection was carried out through pre-test and post-test. Data analysis used paired sample t-test and ANOVA. The results of this study prove the influence of the use of learning media on student learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video media is proven to be effective in improving the learning outcomes of writing exposition texts.

Abstract

The educational needs of students need to be adapted to the needs of the local and global environment in the era of society 5.0. The application of 21st century competency content, especially collaboration, can make students able to compete, think critically, creatively, and innovatively in solving problems. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of learning writing procedural text skills in a project-based model with poster media based on collaborative competence in grade XI Madrasah Aliyah students. This type of research is an experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between students' initial abilities and the state after treatment. The result of the research is that there are significant differences in the process and learning outcomes of the PjBL model in the ability to write procedural texts with poster media based on collaborative competence in grade XI Madrasah Aliyah students. Poster media is effectively used in learning to write procedural texts based on the collaboration competence of grade XI Madrasah Aliyah students. This is evidenced by the students' pre-test and post-test learning outcomes. The pre-test data of experimental class students' learning outcomes showed an average of 66.00 while the post test results were 85.00 so there was a difference of 19.00. The results of the paired sample t-test on the poster media showed that student learning outcomes had a Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 while the t-count value is 15.855 > the t-table value is 1.688. In addition, the results of the assessment of student attitudes during the learning process showed a value of 87.57%. The benefit of research is that it provides a choice of teaching models and media for teachers and students to help students understand procedural texts.

Abstract

Instagram video content that contains speech is included in a new pattern of social media interaction. As a part of the pattern of social interaction, speech in Instagram video content needs to be analyzed for its implications. The purpose of this study was to find out the implicatures in Indonesian-language content made by foreign speakers on social media of Instragram. The content of Indonesian speech made by foreign speakers is quite varied, such as comedy content, culinary arts, family life, and other social activities. Some of the social media contents of foreign speakers that currently available has a tendency to not consider the moral burden of using Indonesian speech. This tendency appears as an implicature concept that needs to be investigated at the pragmatic level of Indonesian speech. This study used two approaches, those were a theoretical approach and a methodological approach. The theoretical approach chosen was a pragmatic theory approach to analyze speech implicatures using Grice's theory. The methodological approach used in this research was a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study were implicatures of five utterances from four foreign speakers who had different characteristics of the Instagram video content they made. The implicatures contained in the five utterances were 3 in the conventional implicature category, 2 in the unconventional implicature category, and 1 in the presuppositional implicature category.

Abstract

Teaching materials provided by the government for learning to foreign workers (tenaga kerja asing/TKA) are still limited, so it is necessary to have the characteristics of teaching materials that are adapted to the competencies needed by TKA. This research provided benefits for the scientific field of the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing/BIPA), mainly BIPA learning theory especially for foreign workers, and could be a reference for other researchers to develop BIPA teaching materials for TKA. This study aimed to produce the characteristics of BIPA level A2 teaching materials in terms of listening skills with Indonesian culinary content aimed at foreign workers. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) research design. The characteristics of the teaching materials were compiled based on needs analysis data that had been conducted on nineteen foreign workers in four different companies. The characteristics of these teaching materials consisted of aspects of material/content, presentation, language, graphics, and Lectora applications. In the material/content aspect, there was the principle of completeness, the principle of conformity, the principle of convenience, and the principle of adequacy. In the presentation aspect, there were attractive, creative, and innovative principles, as well as systematic principles. The linguistic aspect included the principle of convenience, the principle of attractiveness, the principle of communication, and the principle of conformity. The graphic aspect included attractive, creative, and innovative principles. The aspect of the Lectora application included the principle of practicality and the principle of novelty.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pemanfaatan media dan sumber pembelajaran berdasarkan usia dan pengalaman kerja pendidik di SDN Kecamatan Pangkajene, Kabupaten Pangkep, Sulawesi Selatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif evaluatif. Selain itu, data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran, mulai dari alat peraga sederhana hingga media berbasis teknologi seperti video pembelajaran. Guru berpengalaman menghadapi kendala dalam menguasai teknologi, sedangkan guru muda lebih inovatif dalam penggunaan media digital. Sumber belajar meliputi buku paket, lingkungan, dan perangkat sederhana, namun keterbatasan fasilitas sekolah seperti minimnya alat bantu teknologi dan akses perpustakaan menjadi hambatan. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan wawasan pentingnya evaluasi media dan sumber pembelajaran serta mendorong pelatihan berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Temuan baru mengungkap hubungan pengalaman kerja guru dengan efektivitas pemanfaatan media untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.Evaluation of the Use of Media and Resources in Learning Implementation Based on the Age and Work Experience of EducatorsAbstractThis study aims to evaluate the use of media and learning resources based on the age and work experience of educators at SDN Pangkajenne District, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi. Using an evaluative qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed variations in the use of learning media, ranging from simple teaching aids to technology-based media such as learning videos. Experienced teachers face obstacles in mastering technology, while young teachers are more innovative in using digital media. Learning resources include textbooks, the environment, and simple devices, but limited school facilities such as minimal technological aids and library access are obstacles. The contribution of this study is to provide insight into the importance of evaluating media and learning resources and encouraging technology-based training to improve teacher competence. New findings reveal the relationship between teacher work experience and the effectiveness of media utilization to improve student learning motivation.Keywords: learning media, learning resources, evaluation

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum merdeka memfokuskan pada materi esensial dan pengembangan karakter, serta kompetensi peserta didik. Struktur kurikulum merdeka pada pendidikan menengah pertama dipilah menjadi 2 kegiatan utama, yaitu: 1) pembelajaran intrakurikuler, 2) projek penguatan profil pelajar pancasila (P5). Salah satu aspek utama dalam kurikulum merdeka yaitu memberikan fleksibilitas kepada pendidik dalam merancang, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik. Dengan demikian, pendidik diberi keleluasaan dalam mengembangkan desain pembelajaran yang inovatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan, karakteristik peserta didik, dan capaian pembelajaran. Dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia peserta didik dapat mengembangkan kemampuan dalam berkomunikasi secara kritis, kreatif, dan komunikatif baik lisan maupun tertulis dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan. Mata pelajaran ini juga diharapkan membantu peserta didik mengaplikasikan keterampilan berbahasa dan bersastra dalam berbagai tujuan dan konteks sebagai fondasi dari kemampuan literasi. Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang inovatif khususnya model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik.
