Abstract

Background: Radiograph of knee joint with Kellgren and Lawrence classification system is the gold standard for assessing knee osteoarthritis. However, these grades are still obstacles. It is sometimes not appropriate to assess the progress of osteoarthritis and very long time to see the results of such progress. Osteoarthritis diagnosis and classification have been relying on qualitative visual interpretation by a radiologist. Probably difficult to determine whether there OA in the knee or not. Image quantification of digital radiography is done by measuring the joint space width and tibio femoral angle of the knee joint using the ImageJ software, with body weight variance as one factor that could affect it. Aims: This research aims to get information of body weight effect on the measurement of the joint space width and tibio femoral angle of knee joint in OA detection. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Subjects were digital images of the knee joint anteroposterior (AP) projection using Computed Radiography (CR) from 21 respondents with specific criteria. Image is then quantified using ImageJ software to measure the joint space width and tibio femoral angle. Print out of examination visually evaluated by one radiologist to confirm the diagnosis of OA of the knee joint. Results: The value of the right knee joint space width lateral and medial (3.81 ± 1.18 and 2.42 ± 0.77), while the left lateral and medial (3.49 ± 1.11 and 2.69 ± 0.83). Tibio femoral angle range 168.44 to 178.39 with the average tibiofemoral angle right knee 175.18 ± 2.04 and 173.80 ± 2.44 left knee. Body weight has a significant correlation to the tibiofemoral angle of knee joint (p value < 0,03). Conclusion: The joint space width values that taken from digital quantificationcan be baseline data of respondents, especially for those respondents who had grade 2 or indicated osteoarthritis, to be observed or compared in the next examination. The tibio femoral angle can be addition information in relation with knee pain to detect osteoarthritis.

Abstract

Background: Based on Indonesian Health Demographic Survey 2007 maternal mortality rates are 228 per 100.000 live births. In East Kalimantan, maternal mortality was recorded at 90 cases, one of death caused by pre-eclampsia/eclampsia. In 2011, from 923 women in labor in Panglima Sebaya General Hospital there are 307 had pre-eclampsia/eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia or eclampsia be influenced by several risk factors such as primigravidae and ages. Aims: The purpose of this study is to know the correlation of age and parity with pre-eclampsia/eclampsia on women in labor, in Panglima Sebaya, General Hospital. Methods: This study used cross sectional design. Sampling methods used purposive sampling, the number of samples is 340 cases. Data analysis using SPSS for Windows Release 16.0 programmes. Bivariate analysis used chi-square test and multivariate analysis used regress logistic test. Result: chi-square test for primigravidae has p-value(0.002) < 0,05 and Ratio Prevalence (RP) = 1.988 (95% CI 1.296 – 3.079). variabel of ages p-value(0,000) < 0.05 RP = 2.661 (95% CI 1.656 – 4.116). and for regress logistic test for variable of primigravidae the result is p-value(0,003) < 0.05 and coefficients regress 0.665, variable of ages has p-value(0.000) < 0.05 coefficients regress 0.938, and R square 0.99. Conclusion: Primigravida and age have a correlation with the incidence of preeclampsia/eclampsia

Abstract

Background: Training and education for employees are the important thing to develop their knowledge, skill, performance as well as career. It is important to improve the quality of training and education service in National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN), specially training and education for field workers. Performance achievement of family planning field workers in province of Central Sulawesi until November 2018 was low, it was  only 57,8% from 95% as a target for a year even though BKKBN province of Central Sulawesi implemented 10 training and education to them for improve the performance. This study aims to compare between trainees expectations and perceptions of service quality and then set up the guidelines to improve the trainig and education for family planning field workes at National Population and Family Planning Board, Province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.Method: This research method uses quantitative and qualitative with desciriptive design. 169 respondents filled the questionnaire with 22 statements which was pertaining with five dimensions of service quality (tangible, reliable, responsive, assurance and empathy). Moreover, focus group discussion has been used as one of qualitative methods with  the management of BKKBN as participants who conduct the training and education.Conclussions: Level of expectation is in the highest level and level of perception in the highest level. Trainees expectation beyond their perceptions means that trainees did not satisfy with training and education, because perception was related with satisfaction. There was a significant differences between expectations and perceptions for tangible, reliability, responsive and assurance (p<0.05). All dimension had negative gap between expectations and perceptions (SQ= P-E). According to this gap, organiser who conduct training and education may be able to find the problem solving to improve the quality and reduce the gap between trainees expectations and perceptions and make the guidelines.
