Abstract

Emotional intelligence is one of the keys to success in Hajj worship. Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage emotions to improve the quality of one's own life and relate to others. Training is needed to give the candidate Hajj Jamaah an understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence. The research is aimed at improving the emotional intelligence of Hajj candidates. One hundred candidates from the city of Makassar who are 20 years of age and older are involved in this study. It consists of over 50 subjects as control and 50 as experimental groups. Emotional intelligence is measured by the Emotional Intelligence Test Scale (EIT). Psychological training focuses on developing self-awareness, self-control, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills. The study uses an experimental approach (pretest post-test control group design), with statistical analysis techniques T-Test Between two independent sample means. The research results indicate that the psychological training of Hajj effectively improves the emotional intelligence of the candidate Hajj Jamaah. Psychological training can help a candidate Jamaah Haji to become a more calm, patient, and empathic Jamaah. This is important because the Hajj Jamaah will face various challenges during Hajj worship, both physical and mental

Abstract

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara penerapan Spiritual Teaching dengan School Well Being di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu penerapan Spiritual Teaching dan tingkat School Well Being. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi baik dalam penerapan Spiritual Teaching (79,34%) maupun tingkat School Well Being (66,08%). Uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel (r = 0,148; p < 0,05), meskipun demikian kekuatan hubungan dua variabel tergolong lemah. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam pendidikan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan siswa secara holistik, mencakup aspek akademik, emosional, dan sosial. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi bagi praktik pendidikan dengan mendorong sekolah untuk meningkatkan penerapan Spiritual Teaching melalui program berbasis pengembangan karakter dan nilai-nilai spiritual. Kata kunci: School well being, Spiritual Teaching

Abstract

Children in conflict with the law (ABH) are those aged 13-18 who are involved in legal issues. ABH often face negative stigma upon reintegration into society, which can lead to negative consequences such as decreased self-confidence and difficulty recovering from poor labels. This study aims to examine the impact of resilience on the self-efficacy of ABH at UPTD PPA Makassar. A quantitative approach was used, involving 91 ABH subjects from various ethnic groups. Data were collected using resilience and self-efficacy scales adapted by the researcher. Purposive sampling was employed. Simple linear regression analysis revealed a significance value of 0.051, indicating a significant effect of resilience on self-efficacy. The R-square value of 0.400 means that 40.0% of the variance in self-efficacy can be explained by resilience, while the remaining 60.0% is influenced by other factors not explored in this study. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the knowledge, especially in the field of social psychology, regarding the impact of resilience on self-efficacy, particularly for children entering adolescence.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi spiritual siswa SMA sebagai upaya membentuk karakter positif di era digital. Kompetensi spiritual dianggap penting untuk membantu remaja menghadapi tantangan, membangun moralitas, dan mencapai keseimbangan psikologis. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan evaluasi pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Parepare, dengan materi yang meliputi nilai-nilai agama, kebersyukuran, serta etika dan kebiasaan digital yang sehat.Hasil menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, yang sebelumnya belum pernah mendapatkan pelatihan serupa. Peserta aktif terlibat dalam diskusi dan penugasan, serta menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik terhadap materi. Evaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa metode pelatihan yang digunakan efektif dan relevan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai kompetensi spiritual dan pentingnya nilai-nilai kehidupan dalam membentuk karakter positif.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Karakter, Kompetensi, Spiritual, Siswa

Abstract

The rapid increase in adolescent drug abuse in Indonesia requires special attention to adolescent resilience against drug abuse and personal factors, such as assertiveness and self-esteem. This study aimed to investigate the role of assertiveness and self-esteem in enhancing resilience among rehabilitated adolescent drug addicts. This study employed a non-experimental quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 80 individuals selected using a total sampling technique. The instruments used included the Irish Assertiveness Scale, Coppersmith Self-Esteem Inventory, and Grotberg Resilience Scale. Data analysis techniques involved descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS software version 25. The results indicated that assertiveness significantly role the resilience of adolescent drug rehabilitation (r=0.567, p<0.05), while self-esteem also affected resilience (r=0.471, p<0.05). Furthermore, assertiveness and self-esteem jointly played a significant role in the resilience of adolescent drug rehabilitation, with an R Square value of 0.487 (p<0.05). These findings suggest that assertiveness and self-esteem can serve as strong predictors of resilience among adolescent drug addicts.  Rehabilitation programs should focus on assertiveness and social skills education, as well as on developing more effective drug rehabilitation policies.

Abstract

Abstrak. Karyawan memiliki peran yang penting bagi keberhasilan organisasi. Kontribusi yang diberikan oleh karyawan sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa kondisi salah satunya adalah hubungan yang terjalin dengan atasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana seorang karyawan memaknai pengalaman kerja yang dimiliki dengan menggunakan pendekatan Fenomenologi yang berorientasi pada pengalaman subjektif partisipan. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara semi terstruktur yang dilakukan secara mendalam kepada responden yang merupakan salah satu karyawan di Instansi Akademik. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil rekaman wawancara yang diverbatim menjadi transkrip dan dianalisis dengan menerapkan teknik Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 tema, yaitu Stressor, Harapan, Strategi, Respon dan Dampak Psikologis sebagai seorang karyawan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pimpinan yang mampu membuka ruang untuk karyawan dalam mengemukakan pendapat, melibatkan karyawan dalam pekerjaan dan memberikan apresiasi terhadap hasil kerja karyawan akan memberikan kebermaknaan bagi karyawan dalam bekerja. Atasan yang konsisten, transparan, dan terbuka memberikan arahan dapat memberikan kenyamanan kerja bagi karyawan.Kata Kunci : Karyawan, Pengalaman Kerja, Organisasi, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).Abstract. Subordinates have an important role for the success of the organization. Contributions given by subordinates are strongly influenced by several conditions, one of which is the relationship with supervisor. This study aims to get an idea of how a subordinate interprets their work experience using a phenomenological approach that is oriented to the subjective experience of the participants. The method used is a semi-structured interview conducted in depth to the respondent who is one of the subordinates in an academic institution. The data collected was in the form of recorded interviews which were verbatim into transcripts and analyzed by applying the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) technique. This study resulted in 5 themes, namely Stressors, Expectations, Strategies, Responses and Psychological Impacts as a subordinate. This study concludes that leaders who are able to open space for subordinates in expressing opinions, involve subordinates in work and give appreciation for the work of subordinates will provide meaning for subordinates in their work. A consistent, transparent, and open providing direction can make comfort for subordinates.Key Words : Subordinates, Work Experience, Organization, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).

Abstract

Academic grit is a trait or ability regarding determination, resilience and high focus in achieving long-term goals in the context of education. Individuals who have a high level of grit have high perseverance in doing something, do not give up easily, and even consider obstacles as a reference to be more persistent in achieving goals. One of the factors that influence academic grit is academic hope. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between academic hope and academic grit in students of SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. This study used a quantitative correlation approach. Respondents in this study were 301 students obtained using simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between academic hope and academic grit (r 0.642, p=0.000) where the higher the academic hope score, the higher the academic grit score at SMA Negeri 11 Makassar students. The implications of this study indicate the importance of students having the ability to maintain motivation and find strategies for achieving academic goals in order to increase individual persistence in the academic field. This research is expected to be a foundation for further researchers who examine similar variables.

Abstract

Spiritualitas menjadi kekuatan intrinsik individu yang mampu untuk mendorong, mengarahkan, dan menjaga perilaku agar bekerja dengan ikhlas, maksimal, kebersihan orientasi, dan kejelasan capaian tujuan hidup. Etika spiritual kerja adalah aturan normatif yang mengandung sistem nilai dan prinsip moral yang merupakan pedoman bagi setiap individu dalam melaksanakan pekerjaannya pada sebuah instansi. Etika kerja spiritual mengharuskan seorang pegawai mengabdi tanpa memiliki vested interested ataupun hidden agenda yang picik. Jika spiritualitas kerja dihadirkan oleh seorang pegawai dalam bekerja maka pegawai akan bekerja dengan penuh tanggung jawab, adil, jujur, loyal, setia pada pekerjaannya. Tujuan dari seminar psikoedukasi workplace spirituality ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang penerapan spiritualitas dalam pekerjaan. Seminar ini diikuti oleh sebanyak 20 peserta, dilakukan dalam bentuk psikoedukasi melalui kegiatan seminar dan pemberian hasil refleksi oleh peserta yang telah mengikuti seminar ini dengan media pohon harapan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Penilaian Potensi dan Kompetensi Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melakukan seminar Workplace Spirituality ini yaitu adanya pemahaman yang didapatkan oleh peserta seminar selaku pegawai yang bekerja di UPT.

Abstract

Inferiority complex dapat dialami oleh seluruh individu, salah satu karakteristik yang berpotensi mengalami inferiority complex adalah siswa SMA. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara prestasi akademik dan inferiority complex pada siswa SMA di kota Makassar. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara prestasi akademik dan inferiority complex pada siswa SMA di kota Makassar. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah 200 orang siswa dari 26 SMA di Kota Makassar, kelas XI dan XII, dan bersedia menginput nilai rapor. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah incidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah nilai rapor siswa untuk mengukur prestasi akademik dan Skala inferiority complex (α=0,907). Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi Spearman Rho dengan hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,036 dengan p=0,616 (p>0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara variabel prestasi akademik dengan variabel inferiority complex pada siswa SMA di kota Makassar. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang lebih memengaruhi kedua variabel yang tidak menjadi fokus dalam penelitian.

Abstract

Individuals with perfectionism will feel anxious while facing the test. This research aims to examine how perfectionism has influence on the test anxiety of the 12th grade student at SMAN 1 Takalar. The research was conducted on students who had taken the Computer Based Written Test (UTBK) in 2020 and had tendency to perfectionism. Throughout cluster random sampling technique, the participants of this research were 107 people. The results showed that perfectionism had a significant effect on test anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of 0.085. The implication of this study is useful for schools to minimize the possibility of test anxiety by paying more attention to the tendency of maladaptive perfectionism in students.
