Abstract

Students in high school have a central role in developing their own academic, social, and personal potential, as well as in shaping their future vision and goals. However, it is important to understand that the role of students in the educational process is not only limited to receiving information from teachers and textbooks but students must also have strong learning independence. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parental social support on student learning independence at Sman 1 Maros. The sample in this research was 272 students. Data collection used research instruments, namely, the parental social support scale and the learning independence scale. Hypothesis testing using Spearman Rho analysis. The results of the research show that there is an influence of parental social support on student learning independence at Sman 1 Maros. This research has a low level of correlation with an r value of 0.244 with a significance value of 0.000. Therefore the existing hypothesis is accepted. There is an influence of parental social support on students' learning independence at Sman 1 Maros. It is hoped that parents will support this and that students will be able to increase their learning independence at schoo.

Abstract

Each student is expected to be able to manage their time well to complete their tasks. However, there are still many students who tend to procrastinate and spend time when given schoolwork. This study aims to see the relationship between self-control and academic procrastination in high school 3 polewali students. The sampling technique uses the accidental sampling technique and uses a quantitative research method with a total of 300 respondents. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between self-control and academic procrastination with a correlation of r = -217 and a significant value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This means that the higher the self-control possessed by students, the lower the academic procrastination behavior carried out by students. The implication of this study is that it can contribute to the development of science related to academic procrastination and self-control and can be a guideline for students and teaching staff to improve self-control and avoid academic procrastination behavior.

Abstract

Students face various challenges in their educational process, students must be more independent in facing challenges in college. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and loneliness in students. The sampling technique used accidental sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative method with 151 research respondents. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Rosenberg's self-esteem scale with a reliability value of 0.908 and the UCLA (University of California, Los Angel) Loneliness Scale with a reliability value of 0.922. Hypothesis testing uses the Pearson correlation analysis technique using the SPSS version 25.0 application with a sig = 0.014 and r = -0.201. The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and loneliness in students at Makassar State University, meaning that the lower the level of self-esteem, the higher the level of loneliness of students at Makassar State University. The implication of this study is that students are expected to be able to realize the importance of self-esteem as a buffer in socializing and are expected to reduce the level of loneliness they feel, and this study is expected to be able to contribute to the development of theories related to self-esteem and loneliness in students.

Abstract

Student Engagement is the active involvement of students in academic activities. It is undeniable that there are still students who show a passive attitude in class, how students' perceptions of teacher support play a role in shaping changes in all aspects of participation in class. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of teacher support perceptions on student engagement in students. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The subjects in this study were 138 who were taken using the accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument was student engagement and teacher support scale. The data in this study were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of this study showed a significance value of 0.000, means that teacher support has an effect on student engagement in SMAIT Al-Fityan School Gowa students. The r value is 0.390 and the R Square value is 0.152, which means that teacher support has an effect of 15.2% on student engagement. The implications of this study are to contribute to developing knowledge related to teacher support and student engagement, in addition to providing guidelines for students, teachers, and schools in order to improve teacher support and student engagement in schools.

Abstract

Hardiness is a trait that plays an important role in dealing with stressful situations. Coping strategy is one of the factors that affect hardiness, the way to apply coping strategies is by having faith or joining a religious community called religiosity. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between religiosity and hardiness in students who are working on a thesis at the Faculty of Psychology, Makassar State University. This study used a quantitative correlation approach involving 168 students as respondents. The scale used in this study is the Hardiness and Religiosity scale. Spearman Rho correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between Hardiness and Religiosity in the intellectual dimension (r=0.048, p<0.05), ideology (r=0.011, p<0.05), and public worship (r=0.016, p<0.05), which indicates a significant relationship between Hardiness and religiosity. This finding has implications that increasing religiosity can strengthen students' hardiness, so it is important for students and educational institutions to develop spiritual aspects and mental resilience during the thesis process.

Abstract

Perubahan sistem pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara blended memberikan dampak pada kepuasan belajar mahasiswa. Pembelajaran blended menyebabkan mahasiswa menghadapi berbagai hambatan selama proses kuliah, sehingga mereka membutuhkan kemampuan resiliensi akademik yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara resiliensi akademik dan kepuasan belajar pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Negeri Makassar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 319 mahasiswa aktif yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala kepuasan belajar dan The Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30). Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi Spearman Rho dengan bantuan SPSS 26.0 for Windows. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kepuasan belajar dalam kategori tinggi (57,37%) dan tingkat resiliensi akademik dalam kategori sedang (80,88%). Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara resiliensi akademik dengan kepuasan belajar, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r=0,247 dan signifikansi p=0,000 (p<0,05). Artinya, semakin tinggi resiliensi akademik yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kepuasan belajarnya. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran mengenai pentingnya resiliensi akademik dalam menghadapi tantangan akademik guna meningkatkan kepuasan belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the number of memorized Qur’anic verses among Class IX A students at Tahfidzul Qur’an Assalam Islamic Boarding School in Sidrap Regency by applying the At-Taisir method. The method serves not only to enrich knowledge about its use in enhancing Qur'anic memorization but also as a contribution of thought for teachers in meeting student needs and as a guideline for solving classroom learning challenges related to Qur’anic education. The research subjects were 20 students from Class IX A. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of two cycles. The procedure followed four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data analysis used both qualitative and quantitative approaches.The implementation of the At-Taisir method was conducted over two cycles. The results showed that it effectively improved students’ Qur’anic memorization skills, as evidenced by the mean score of 83.82 in Cycle I and 93.33 in Cycle II. The At-Taisir method also enhanced active participation and understanding of the material, particularly in the aspects of verse repetition accuracy, memorization consistency, review (murojaah) ability, correct verse recall, and reading fluency, with all 20 students achieving complete success. The At-Taisir method proved effective in increasing students' Qur’anic memorization due to its systematic, gradual approach tailored to individual capabilities. Through two implementation cycles, this method improved students' active participation in the memorization process. Students found it easier to understand and memorize verses as the material was delivered simply and sequentially. Furthermore, the method emphasized repetition and reinforcement of memorization, enabling students to maintain consistency. The students’ ability to review memorized verses also improved, as seen in their accuracy. Significant improvement in average scores and the number of students who met learning objectives confirms that the At-Taisir method effectively enhances both the quantity and quality of Qur’anic memorization.

Abstract

Salah satu wujud toleransi beragama ialah memberikan kesempatan kepada pemeluk agama yang berbeda untuk beribadah dengan aman dan tenang sesuai dengan ajaran agamanya. Untuk mewujudkan hubungan antarumat beragama yang rukun dan saling menghargai, dibutuhkan sikap toleransi. Toleransi yang ditumbuhkan melalui peningkatan kualitas sikap keagamaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kematangan beragama dan toleransi beragama pada anggota organisasi Islam di kota Makassar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 88 orang anggota organisasi Islam di kota Makassar yang berusia 18 hingga 60 tahun dengan masa keanggotaan minimal setahun. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa skala kematangan beragama dan skala toleransi beragama. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi Spearman-Rank. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kematangan beragama dengan toleransi beragama pada anggota organisasi Islam di kota Makassar (r = 0,213, p = 0,047). Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam menginisiasi kegiatan yang melibatkan seluruh organisasi keagamaan.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan suatu dorongan yang timbul dalam diri individu yang dilatarbelakangi oleh suatu perasaan untuk berperilaku guna mencapai tujuan dalam kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara homesickness dengan motivasi belajar pada santri di Pesantren X. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 37 responden yang merupakan santri Baytul Mukarramah. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Total Sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala homesickness dan skala motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji spearman rho. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara homesickness dengan motivasi belajar pada santri di Pesantren Baytul Mukarramah dengan nilai p sebesar 0,031 (p<0,05). Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai bahan referensi yang dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi ilmu pengetahuan khususnya di bidang psikologi

Abstract

Keberhasilan penguasaan bahasa Inggris tidak hanya ditentukan oleh faktor lingusitik saja melainkan ada satu faktor yang oleh ahli lingusitik ternama, Stephen Krashen, disebut sebagai faktor penentu keberhasilan dan kegagalan seseorang menguasai bahasa Inggris, yaitu faktor affective filter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:1) Efektivitas pemberian modul speaking affective filter dalam meningkatkan motivasi murid usia 9-12 tahun di E-Now Kids Learning Center. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yang melibatkan satu kelas menggunakan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul speaking affective filter pada siswa E-Now Kids Learning Center efektif terhadap peningkatan motivasi siswa dengan rata-rata skor gain sebesar 0.4338 berada pada klasifikasi sedang.
