Abstract

Penelitian”ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model PBL dan model Pembelajaran Langsung (2) peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model PBL dan model Pembelajaran Langsung (3) pengaruh penggunaan model PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experimental menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Makassar. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 25 peserta didik dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 25 peserta didik. Instrumen tes yang digunakan berupa soal Essay. Data Dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) Tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajarkan menggunakan model PBL berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 25,92 dan model Pembelajaran Langsung berada pada kategori rendah dengan skor rata-rata 22,24 (2) peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model PBL berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata N-Gain 0,43 dan model Pembelajaran Langsung berada pada kategori rendah dengan skor rata-rata N-Gain 0,28 (3) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 24 Makassar dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis, dimana diperoleh thitung > ttabel = 5,59 > 1,67.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe local culture along with its content analysis as a source of learning on the theme of my living environment in grade IV of Elementary School. This study is a qualitative approach study and uses a phenomenological design. The subjects in this study were teachers, grade IV students of Elementary School 18 Banawa and community leaders in Banawa sub-district. The data acquisition techniques used were observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research conducted at Elementary School 18 Banawa, local culture in Banawa sub-district that can be used as a source of learning are the gonggati folklore, posisani songs and pusentase tourism. This is evidenced by the gonggati folklore, posisani songs and pusentase tourism which are local cultures that are still known by some people and are local cultures that have not been included in learning in grade IV, namely in theme 1, theme 5, theme 7, theme 8 and theme 9 making the local culture of Kaili in Banawa sub-district a source of learning that is expected to maintain local culture from generation to generation.

Abstract

Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Kajang dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran melalui LKPD, yang merupakan perangkat ajar yang dirancang untuk membantu peserta didik memahami konsep secara mandiri dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebelum dan setelah penerapan LKPD berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Kajang melalui pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) serta melihat peningkatannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 peserta didik kelas VII.2 SMPN 1 Bulukumba yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yang mengacu pada Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA) dan disajikan dalam bentuk pilihan ganda (multiple choice), dengan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebelum penerapan LKPD berada pada kategori rendah dengan skor 7,63, sedangkan setelah penerapan meningkat ke kategori tinggi dengan skor 16,53. Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,46. Uji-t keterampilan berpikir kritis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dengan nilai thitung= 10,850 > ttabel= 2,040; sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis kearifan lokal terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Project Based Learning (PjBL) is one of the learning models that many teachers use in the learning process in this independent curriculum. Even so, the understanding and application of the PjBL model is still very varied, so this study was carried out to examine  the understanding and application of Project-Based Learning by teachers in South Sulawesi using quantitative methods and Rasch analysis. With PjBL gaining prominence in Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum for developing 21st-century skills, challenges like uneven teacher readiness and resource limitations persist. The research aims to assess PjBL comprehension levels among teachers, examine demographic influences, and identify implementation barriers. Data were collected via a 26-item Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 300 teachers across primary, junior, and senior high schools. Rasch analysis confirmed the instrument's reliability (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.92) and validity. Findings revealed that female teachers, younger educators, and high school teachers demonstrated stronger PjBL understanding. However, practical application faced difficulties in project design, time management, and assessment. The study concludes that while conceptual knowledge exists, structural support and targeted training are needed for effective PjBL implementation. Recommendations include specialized professional development programs and policy interventions to address implementation gaps.

Abstract

Science learning in schools is often dominated by monotonous and less contextual material delivery, resulting in low student enthusiasm and passive participation. Limited engagement, poor collaboration, and the lack of learning resources that incorporate local potential present significant challenges. One proposed solution is the development of an e-book based on the discovery learning model, integrated with local potential specifically Yogyakartas traditional food, gudeg on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. This study aims to develop a science e-book based on the discovery learning model integrated with the local potential of yogyakarta's traditional food, gudeg, on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. The development model used is addie, limited to the analyze, design, develop, and evaluate stages. Data were collected using validation instruments by subject matter experts and media experts, as well as practicality and readability questionnaires administered to science teachers and students. Data were analyzed using the coefficients of reproducibility (CR) and scalability (CS), along with average score calculations. The results showed that the developed e-book met the validity criteria with CR 90% and CS 60% as assessed by both experts. The practicality assessment by science teachers fell into the high to very high category, while the readability test by students yielded an average score of 3.26, categorized as very good. These results indicate that the developed e-book is valid, practical, and feasible for use in science learning

Abstract

Indonesia, with its abundant natural resources, needs to implement wise and sustainable management it line with SDG 15 to maintain ecosystem balance and support life. Education plays a crucial role in achieving sustainable development. An e-module was developed as an educational initiative to promote SDG 15 by integrating socios-scientific issues (SSI) related to gold mining, aiming to facilitate critical thinking skills (CTS) and anticipatory competency (AC). This study aims to develop and evaluate the e-module product. The research method employed is research and development (Rd) using ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, the implementation stage was not applied in this study. Data collection utilized e-module validation sheets as instruments. The research subjects consisted of experts validators, including 2 biology education lecturers and 2 professional biology science teachers. The results show that the validation scores from experts were as follows: material aspect with an average score of 3.71 (highly valid), content presentation aspect with an average of 3.72 (highly valid), linguistic aspect with an average of 3.77 (highly valid), and graphic design aspect with an average of 3.79 (highly valid). Overall, the developed e-mode is valid for use, though further research is still required to test its effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the critical thinking skills of eighth-grade students attending public junior high schools with an A accreditation rating in Makassar City. The population of the study consisted of 4,167 students, and a sample of 365 students was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The sample was drawn from 13 public junior high schools in Makassar City. The research instrument used was a critical thinking skills test in the form of 24 multiple-choice questions. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis, the critical thinking skills of eighth-grade students in A-accredited public junior high schools in Makassar City were found to be in the moderate category, with an average percentage of 65.35%. Specifically, critical thinking skills on the elementary clarification indicator were in the high category (70.50%), basic support was in the low category (53.63%), inference was in the moderate category (60.32%), advanced clarification was in the high category (68.56%), and strategy and tactics was also in the high category (73.77%).

Abstract

Despite increasing global attention to environmental issues, many elementary school students still lack adequate awareness and understanding of sustainable environmental practices. This low level of awareness poses a significant challenge to achieving long-term environmental sustainability, as early education plays a critical role in shaping pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. This study aims to examine the effect of RADEC learning model assisted by greenhouse effect animation video on improving elementary school students' sustainable environmental awareness. Using a quasi-experimental design and pretest-posttest approach, data were collected through tests measured by logit scores before and after the intervention, which included aspects of knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and practices related to the environment. The analysis technique used was Rasch analysis with the stacking method to evaluate changes in students' environmental awareness. The results showed that the RADEC learning model with the greenhouse effect animation video successfully improved students' sustainable environmental awareness in all measured dimensions, especially in the emotional, attitudinal and behavioral, and practice dimensions. In contrast, the control class using conventional learning showed only limited improvement, with some students even experiencing a decline in ability. These findings suggest that the use of visual media and an inquiry-based approach in RADEC is more effective in improving students' environmental awareness compared to traditional learning. Therefore, this study makes an important contribution to the development of inquiry-based learning methods and visual media in sustainability education in primary schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui peningkatan hasilbelajar peserta didik kelas VII pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan makhluk hidup yang di ajar dengan menggunakan  media Assemblr EDU berbasis Augmented Reality, dan 2) mengetahui penerapan media Assemblr EDU berbasis Augmented Reality dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan makhluk hidup. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre experiment. Design dengan refleksi 2 kelas sehingga terdapat 3 kelas eksperimen. Populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 3 Makassar, sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan 3 kelas, yaitu kelas VII.6 sebanyak 14 orang; kelas VII.7 sebanyak 15 orang; dan kelas VII.8 sebanyak 15 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes hasil belajar. Data di analisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa 1) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik berada pada kategori rendah, 2) penerapan media Assemblr EDU berbasis Augmented Reality dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Keywords: Augmented Reality, Belajar, Media Assemblr EDU

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) jenis gaya belajar peserta didik, (2) tingkat keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik, dan (3) keterampilan komunikasi ditinjau dari gaya belajar peserta didik. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu gaya belajar dan keterampilan komunikasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bulukumba. Pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik simple random sampling sebanyak 25 peserta didik. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket gaya belajar dan tes keterampilan komunikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh 4 jenis gaya belajar yaitu gaya belajar visual, auditorial, kinestetik dan visual kinestetik. Keterampilan komunikasi berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor rata rata 9,6. Keterampilan komunikasi ditinjau dari gaya belajar peserta didik yaitu visual kategori sedang, auditorial kategori rendah, kinestetik kategori rendah dan visual kinestetik kategori rendah.
