Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in fostering moral character in early childhood during the digital era, focusing on Kulati Village, Tomia Timur District, Wakatobi Regency. The digital era presents new challenges for children’s moral education due to uncontrolled exposure to technology, which can influence their behavior and character. The problems identified in this study include the frequent use of impolite language by children, their inability to control anger, lack of understanding of manners towards adults, and weak parental supervision of gadget use. In addition, parents often fail to reinforce the moral values taught at school, further worsening the situation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation involving eight parents of early childhood children. The findings reveal that parents play four essential roles: as educators, motivators, role models, and companions. Parents strive to limit gadget use, provide positive examples, encourage good behavior, and build emotional closeness through open communication. However, limited time, low digital literacy, and work demands pose significant challenges in optimizing these roles. The study emphasizes the critical importance of active parental involvement in early moral education to shape children with strong character and noble values amid rapid technological advancement.

Abstract

The study was motivated by the limited availability of learning media, as several existing materials were damaged and incomplete due to prolonged use. As a result, children were less enthusiastic during learning activities. This research aims to explore the utilization of theme-based origami media in early childhood education. Origami media was employed to enhance children's learning interest, creativity, and fine motor skills through thematic activities. The research method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 10 children from Group B, aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings showed that the use of theme-based origami media was effective in increasing children's engagement in learning. Children showed enthusiasm, understood the learning material, and actively participated in the process through themes such as Plants, Sea Transportation, Printed Communication, and My Country. In conclusion, theme-based origami media can serve as a creative, enjoyable, and meaningful alternative for early childhood education.

Abstract

High quality human resources are highly expected by companies today to help them achieve their goals. Knowledgeable and reliable personnel will be very beneficial for the company. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of how the company supports employee readiness to face change at CV. Niki Harum Semarang. In this study, the author applies theory and experience in the field of Organizational Behavior, especially those related to changes in the organization and company performance. This study aims to provide input/knowledge to employees of CV. Niki Harum Semarang in responding to positive changes that occur within the organization/company so that they can take a positive attitude if stress arises at work. This study uses a method known as systematic random sampling, and is conducted with a questionnaire. An in-depth regressive analysis strategy is used in this research investigation. The results of this study indicate that employee readiness to face change has a positive and statistically significant effect on company performance. It is highly recommended that companies meet employee needs in facing change so that it has a positive and statistically significant effect on employee readiness to face change to maintain and improve good company performance and will support the company in achieving its main goal, namely company profit.

Abstract

Adapun fenomenan yang terjadi terkait intellectual capital yaitu pada perusahaan PT. Bayan Resources Tbk di tahun 2017 intellectual capital bernilai 8,92% sedangkan di tahun 2018 bernilai sebesar 10,36% dan terjadi penurunan pada tahun 2019 dan 2020 sebesar 7,43% dan 6,79%. Begitu juga dengan PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk terjadi penurunan dari tahun 2017 sampai 2020, pada tahun 2017 sebesar 6,06% dan pada tahun 2018 sebesar 5,49%, di tahun 2019 sebesar 4,55% sedangkan tahun 2020 bernilai sebesar 3.38%. Tetapi pada PT. Harum Energy Tbk tidak mengalami penurunan maupun peningkatan karena nilai VAICTM bernilai tetap dari tahun 2016-2020 yaitu sebesar 3,24%.Pengaruh CSR secara langsung mendapat reaksi positif dari stakeholders, dengan melakukan CSR secara kontinu, stakeholders akan menilai bahwa perusahaan tersebut memiliki kinerja keuangan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini sejalan dengan penelitian V. Nurhidayah, menunjukkan hasil bahwa Corporate Social Responsibility berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan. Pengaruh signifikan antara kinerja lingkungan, intelletual capital  terhadap kinerja keuangan pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2016-2020, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikan yaitu 0,029 < 0,05 angka ini menunjukkan F-statistik sebesar 2,775.Kinerja lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan melalui corporate social responsibility sebagai variabel imemediasi hubungan antara kinerja linkungan terhadap kinerja kuangan, 0,024 > -0,073

Abstract

Work system analysis at PT. XYZ was conducted to evaluate impact of noise and lighting on employee performance. Proper lighting supports clear vision and prevents accidents, while excessive noise can disrupt concentration, communication, and potentially cause hearing loss. This study aims to assess whether the levels of noise and lighting meet the government’s Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) and to provide recommendations for improving the work environment. Measurements were taken using a sound level meter and a lux meter, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that both noise and lighting significantly affect the comfort and performance of production operators. A suboptimal work environment can lead to fatigue and reduced work effectiveness. Therefore, improvements are recommended through proper noise and lighting adjustments or by using noise-reducing equipment such as soundproofing or personal protective equipment. These efforts are expected to enhance employee performance and ultimately boost overall company productivity.

Abstract

The merchandising company inventory recording system is one of the topics that is not understood by the students of the Rumah Belajar Mahkota Kasih Insani, so students need additional education on this topic to support the student learning process at school. Therefore, the leadership of the Rumah Belajar Mahkota Insani tries to fulfill the desire for additional education for its students by inviting external parties who are experts in the field of accounting to provide community service activities in order to increase students' insight into the inventory recording system of merchandising companies. This insight enhancement is carried out by means of training methods given to 5 (five) students with a background in studying at a Vocational High School. The material provided in this activity is the characteristics of trading companies and the inventory recording system of merchandising companies. The implementation of this community service activity is that students are given a pretest before training activities, material explanations, practice questions, post tests, and evaluation of training activities are carried out. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, it showed an increase in results before and after being given explanations and exercises about the material for the inventory recording system of merchandising companies. While the results of the evaluation of community service activities that 80% strongly agree and 20% agree that the training is useful and want to take part in similar training in the future. The evaluation stated that the implementation of community service was beneficial in supporting student learning and providing broader insight into the inventory recording system for students. Sistem pencatatan persediaan perusahaan dagang merupakan salah satu topik yang kurang dimengerti oleh siswa Rumah Belajar Mahkota Kasih Insani, sehingga siswa membutuhkan pendidikan tambahan mengenai topik tersebut dalam mendukung proses belajar siswa di sekolah. Oleh karena itu pimpinan Rumah Belajar Mahkota Insani berusaha memenuhi keinginan tambahan pendidikan bagi siswanya dengan cara mengundang pihak eksternal yang pakar dibidang akuntansi untuk memberikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat guna meningkatkan wawasan siswa tentang sistem pencatatan persediaan perusahaan dagang. Peningkatan wawasan ini dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan yang diberikan kepada 5 (lima) siswa dengan latar belakang sedang menempuh sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan tersebut adalah karakteristik perusahaan dagang dan sistem pencatatan persediaan perusahaan dagang. Pelaksanaan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah siswa diberikan pretest sebelum dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan, penjelasan materi, latihan soal, posttest, dan evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil sebelum dan setelah diberikan penjelasan dan latihan soal materi sistem pencatatan persediaan perusahaan dagang. Sedangkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bahwa sangat setuju 80% dan setuju 20% siswa menyatakan pelatihan tersebut bermanfaat dan ingin mengikuti pelatihan sejenis di kemudian hari. Evaluasi tersebut menyatakan bahwa pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bermanfaat dalam mendukung belajar siswa dan memberikan wawasan yang lebih luas mengenai sistem pencatatan persediaan bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) method through loose parts media in the learning activities of Group B3 children at TK Tunas Harapan, Baubau City. The background of this study is based on the lack of variation in learning media and the minimal active involvement of children in the learning process, which affects the development of their creativity and independence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The research subjects consisted of 10 children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of the STEAM method using loose parts media—such as water propagation experiments, stamping color, painting, color mixing, and creating artworks using recycled materials—can increase children’s active involvement, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and socio-emotional skills. Children were more enthusiastic, explorative, and independent in completing learning tasks. Thus, the application of the STEAM method through loose parts media is proven effective as an innovative approach in early childhood education.

Abstract

Databases play a crucial role in accelerating information system processes, enabling organizations to access and manage data efficiently. An integrated information system is essential for supporting operations, achieving goals, and handling large data volumes in a user-friendly manner. This study aims to replace manual service processes with computerized systems by developing a database for Mom’s Laundry to enhance service quality. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the research involved observing customer needs, conducting company surveys, identifying problems, and performing analysis. Microsoft Access was used to design the laundry’s transaction system. The study resulted in creating an automated transaction system to replace the manual process. Thus, the implementation of this database system is expected to improve efficiency, provide convenience, and deliver excellent service to customers.

Abstract

Maxillofacial fractures are among the most serious injuries involving facial bones and are often caused by trauma, particularly traffic accidents. This condition not only affects the aesthetic and physiological functions but also has a significant impact on the patient’s quality of life. The high incidence of maxillofacial fractures has become an important concern in the fields of dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of patients with maxillofacial fractures at Haji General Hospital Medan in 2022–2024, including the number of cases, age distribution, gender, causes of fractures, and types of fractures. This research employed a descriptive design with a retrospective approach. Data were obtained from the medical records of patients diagnosed with maxillofacial fractures who were treated at Haji General Hospital Medan during the 2022–2024 period. A total of 62 patients who met the inclusion criteria were included as research samples. Data were analyzed univariately in the form of frequency and percentage distributions, and presented in tables and bar charts. The results showed that the number of maxillofacial fracture cases increased each year, with 16 cases (25.8%) in 2022, 20 cases (32.3%) in 2023, and 26 cases (41.9%) in 2024. Based on age, the highest number of cases occurred in the 21–30 years age group (33.9%), followed by the 11–20 years group (30.6%). Based on gender, males experienced more maxillofacial fractures (46 cases, 74.2%) compared to females (16 cases, 25.8%). The main cause of fractures was traffic accidents (58.1%), followed by falls (17.7%). The most common types of fractures were maxillary fractures (41.2%) and zygomatic fractures (40.5%), followed by mandibular (6.9%), frontal and nasal (3.8% each), naso-orbito-ethmoidal (NOE) fractures (2.3%), and orbital fractures (1.5%). In conclusion, maxillofacial fractures at Haji General Hospital Medan in 2022–2024 were predominantly found in male patients of productive age (21–30 years), mainly caused by traffic accidents, with the most frequent fracture types being maxillary and zygomatic fractures. It is recommended that the public increase awareness and safety measures, especially while driving, including the use of protective equipment. Health institutions should strengthen educational programs on facial trauma prevention. Patients are advised to seek immediate medical attention to prevent complications. Further research is suggested to analyze more specific risk factors and evaluate post-treatment clinical outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to design a biomass waste shredder using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method to create a product that aligns with the needs and desires of users. The QFD method is employed to identify user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and produce an optimal product design. The study involved 20 respondents from the Universitas Pahlawan Botanical Garden team as subjects to collect data on needs through closed questionnaires. The results indicate that consumers desire a shredder with key criteria, including speeding up the shredding process, high durability, safety in use, as well as ease of mobility and storage. The designed shredder product features several advantages, such as: An inlet feeder for biomass waste, six cutting blades with a bolt system, wheels for easy transportation. Through the House of Quality (HOQ) matrix, consumer needs were successfully translated into priorities for the development of the product's technical features. Compared to other shredders, this shredder has competitive advantages in functional aspects, user safety, and design. This demonstrates that the application of the QFD method is effective in producing an innovative, functional shredder design that meets user preferences. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the future development of shredder products.
