Abstract

The gamification method is a learning method that combines elements of learning and games. The gamification learning method uses the Kahoot application to capture things that interest students and inspire them to continue learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the gamification method in increasing student learning motivation in the Field Analytical Geometry course through the Kahoot application. This type of research is qualitative with a research method that is a survey. The survey was conducted through the provision of questionnaires to determine students' learning motivation after applying learning with the gamification method. The results of this study showed that (1) student learning outcomes before and after the gamification method was applied respectively were 64.13 and 83.56, (2) there was an increase in learning outcomes with a percentage increase of 30.3%, (3) learning the gamification method can increase student learning motivation with an average percentage after the action of 85.33% and is included in the very good category. This shows that learning with the gamification method is alternative learning that can increase student learning motivation, so it is hoped that variations in learning like this will make learning mathematics interesting and fun.

Abstract

Advances in technology and information today are the application of various sciences and the underlying science is mathematics. Mathematics is one of the basic provisions that are important to master in dealing with increasingly complex life problems. Through mastery of mathematics, it makes someone have good logical thinking in solving the problems at hand. In terms of responding to problems that arise, making decisions, and prioritizing appropriately, it is necessary to involve analytical skills and mathematical logic. However, many students do not know the application of mathematics in various disciplines. This community service activity is carried out in the form of an educational workshop with the theme Utilization of Mathematical Concepts in everyday life. The target of this community service activity is students from various study programs at the University of Qamarul Huda Badaruddin (UNIQHBA). Through this activity, it is hoped that it can contribute to the entire UNIQHBA academic community regarding the application of mathematics in various fields, especially culture, economics, and development, providing examples of skills related to mathematics so that they have more insight and are ready to compete in the world of work.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve teachers’ abilities to create video lessons that could be used either on online learning or in person. The activity's strategy was a workshop that mainly focused on working and creating video lessons after giving a brief explanation on how to produce the video. The workshop also involves pre and post-test to assess the improvement of participants’ competence. This activity resulted in video lessons uploaded on the Youtube channel, and participants’ assessment scores improved from 65,8 to 76,9. Therefore, teachers involved in this social service admitted that they benefit from joining the workshop as they are now able to create exciting video lessons that might raise students’ enthusiasm and motivation in the learning process.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in labuapi group II have never made instructions for the use of props. Do not use instructions, props alone have never been made. Knowledge of the manufacture of props and instructions are very poorly obtained and the opportunity to learn is also minimal. The objectives to be achieved in this devotional activity are: (1) Improving the knowledge of the teachers of SD Cluster II in Labuapi Subdistrict about the concept of area area and the principle of area area can be built through the concept of broad immortality; (2) Improve the skill of making instructions for using props to determine the area of data building. Devotion activities are carried out through the deepening of the concepts and principles of the area, especially the parameters of determining the area by means of presentation, demonstration, simulation and practice of designing a broad principle model media, and discussions in working groups and presentations about the media and guidelines that have been designed and demontrasi how it is used. The training results are very effective, this is shown to be a significant average difference between pretest and post-test results. Community Service activities that have been conducted turned out to be very effective, namely a change towards significant improvement. This can be shown by the difference in the pre-test average of 4.08 with a post-test average of 7.35. The test result t shows that = 15,286 > ttab = 2.03 at the signification level of 5 %. This also means that knowledge of the area of flat build area and the skills of designing media and operational guidelines of teachers in Cluster II Labuapi Subdistrict increased convincingly as shown by the average change

Abstract

A mathematical statement is not a theorem until it has been carefully derived from previously proven axioms, definitions and theorems. The proof of a theorem is a logical argument that is given deductively and is often interpreted as a justification for statements as well as a fundamental part of the mathematical thinking process. Studying the proof can help decide if and why our answers are logical, develop the habit of arguing, and make investigating an integral part of any problem solving. However, not a few students have difficulty learning it. So it is necessary to explore the student's thought process in proving a statement through questions, answer sheets, and interviews. The ability to prove is explored through 4 (four) proof schemes, namely Scheme of Complete Proof, Scheme of Incomplete Proof, Scheme of unrelated proof, and Scheme of Proof is immature. The results obtained indicate that the ability to prove is influenced by understanding and the ability to see that new theorems are built on previous definitions, properties and theorems; and how to present proof and how students engage with proof. Suggestions in this research are to change the way proof is presented, and to change the way students are involved in proof; improve understanding through routine proving new mathematical statements; and developing course designs that can turn proving activities into routine activities.

Abstract

Tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran memerlukan peran aktif siswa dalam merencanakan dan mengatur strateginya dalam belajar. Kemampuan siswa dalam meregulasi diri dalam membuat proses belajar yang efektif disebut self-regulated learning (SRL). Keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar turut dipengaruhi oleh SRL yang siswa miliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-regulated learning (SRL) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Masbagik Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian ex post facto. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistika inferensial meliputi analisis regresi linear sederhana dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana diperoleh persamaan regresi . Selain itu, diperoleh nilai t hitung  t tabel  dan nilai signifikansi data 0,00 yang lebih besar dari taraf signifikansi 0,05 sehingga hipotesis diterima yaitu self-regulated learning (SRL) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa self-regulated learning (SRL) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Masbagik Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Siswa yang memiliki SRL yang tinggi cenderung akan memiliki hasil belajar matematika yang tinggi pula.

Abstract

Pendidikan sangat berperan penting dalam pembangunan nasional guna meningkatkan sumberdaya manusia. Salah satu permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia yang terjadi pada masa pandemi Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) adalah metode pembelajaran yang tepat untuk digunakan dalam Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ), oleh karena itu guru ditunut untuk lebih inovatif menentukan media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan agar lebih efektif. Media pembelajaran berbasis PowToon merupakan salah satu media yang disajikan dalam bentuk video yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran jarak jauh yang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Powtoon yang valid, praktis, dan efektif serta menjelaskan langkah-langkah pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Powtoon pada materi statistika kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Mataram. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran ini adalah 4D (Define, Design, Developement, Dissemination). Hasil penelitian berupa media pembelajaran materi statisika berbasis PowToon yang berbentuk Video MP4. Produk mendapatkan skor kevalidan 0,88 dengan kriteria sangat valid oleh 3 orang validator. Kepraktisan produk mendapatkan skor kepraktisan 83,75% dengan kriteria sangat praktis dilihat dari hasil respon 20 orang siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis PowToon pada materi statisika. Sedangkan keefektifan media mendapatkan kriteria sangat efektif karena ketuntasan siswa telah kencapai 85%, dilihat dari hasil tes yang diberikan kepada siswa dalam uji coba. Selanjutnya media pembelajaran berbasis PowToon disebarluaskan dengan mengadakan seminar tingkat lokal dan disebarkan melalui YouTube sehingga mudah untuk diakses oleh siswa. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran matematika berbasis PowToon dapat dinyatakan sebagai media yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk selanjutnya digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Komunikasi matematis dapat diartikan sebagai kemampuan mengekspresikan ide dan proses matematika dengan jelas, baik secara lisan maupun tertulis, Kemampuan komunikasi matematis dapat berperan penting pada hard skill peserta didik, karena sifatnya yang universal sehingga dapat dipahami dan dapat digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan komunikasi matematis dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram 2021/2022, Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram, dalam menentukan sampel teknik  yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek dari penelitian ini  yaitu 6 siswa kelas  VIII (A). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data (Data Reduction), penyajian data (Data Display), triangulasi data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan nilai tingkat kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada kategori baik (17,64%), kategori cukup (47,05%), dan kategori kurang (35,30%). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa  kelas VIII SMPN 8  Mataram  tahun ajaran 2021/202 berada pada kategori cukup.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of Mathematics teachers of SMP/MTs in Labuapi, Lombok Barat about critical thinking skills and improve skills in developing mathematical problems characterized by critical thinking skills. This community service activity was carried out in September 2022. Community service was carried out in the form of activities consisting of (1) Focused FGD (Focus Group Discussion) increased knowledge about critical thinking skills, and (2) Workshops and assistance in developing mathematical questions characterized by critical thinking skills. This activity is expected to be useful for mathematics teachers at SMP/MTs in Labuapi and impact increasing professional competence, namely increasing knowledge about critical thinking skills and developing skills with critical thinking characteristics. The results and outputs of this community service activity are (1) positive responses from workshop participants about the usefulness of community service activities that have been carried out, (2) there is an increase in the knowledge of workshop participants about critical thinking skills and skills in developing math problems characterized by critical thinking skills, and (3) the output of mathematical questions with the characteristics of critical thinking skills developed by Mathematics teachers of SMP/MTs in Labuapi, Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Abstract

Disadari maupun tidak, matematika sangat berkaitan erat dengan budaya m masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satunya pada alat musik gendang beleq yang sangat terkenal di Pulau Lombok bahkan sering digunakan dalam pertunjukan dan acara besar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengekspolari konsep matematika dalam alat musik gendang beleq suku Sasak Pulau Lombok yang terdiri dari gendang beleq, reong dan gong. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan model etnografi (antropologi kognitif). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi langsung. Wawancara dilakukan pada dua orang pengrajin alat musik gendang beleq di Pulau Lombok dan dua orang budayawan untuk mengumpulkan informasi terkait cara pembuatan, maksud serta fungsi dari tiap bagian alat musik gendang beleq sampai cara memainkannya. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan etnografi yang terdiri dari tahapan (1) menetapkan informan, (2) melakukan wawancara dengan informan, (3) membuat catatan etnografi, (4) mengajukan pertanyaan deskriptif, (5) menganalisis hasil wawancara etnografi, (6) membuat analisis domain, (7) mengajukan pertanyaan struktural, (8) melakukan analisis taksonomi, dan (9) menulis etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep matematika dalam alat musik gendang beleq yaitu geometri dua dimensi (lingkaran, segitiga dan segi lima), geometri tiga dimensi (kerucut terpancung), geometri transformasi (translasi dan dilatasi) serta barisan aritmatika dimana konsep geometri ditemukan paling dominan.
