Abstract

One of the effort to improve peanut production can be done with fertilization. Effect of fertilizer to the land is to create a high level of nutrients and can improve the quality of crops. Fertilization through leaves meant that the nutrients can be absorbed quickly by plants. macro elements such as magnesium (mg) and micronutrients such as phosphate (P) and micro nutrients that plants need more peanuts. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Micro and Magnesium Phosphate fertilizer on the growth and production of groundnut (Arachis hypogeae L.). This research was conducted in paddy fields in August up to November 2016, in the village Kertonegoro, district Jenggawah Jember district. The study was conducted using a randomized block design (RAK) consisted of two factors with three replications. The first factor is the concentration of fertilizer Micro (M) consisting of 0 g/l (M0), 0.125 g/l (M1), 0.25 g/l (M2) and the second factor is the concentration of Magnesium Phosphate fertilizer 0 ml/l ( MgP0); MgP1 {2 ml/l (in preparation for planting, flower formation, fruit and ripening fruit), 0.5 ml/l at 15 HST and 1 ml/l each 1 week)} and MgP2 (Magnesium Phosphate Concentrations 2x standard). The results showed that the fertilizer Micro with a concentration of 0.25 g/l (M2) influence as much as 22.13 nyataterhadap number of pods and pod weight of 43.78 grams. Magnesium Phosphate Fertilizer with standard concentration (MgP1) significantly affect the number of branches as much as 5.38, while the Magnesium Phosphate fertilizers with standard 2x concentration (MgP2) significantly affect stover weight of 22.89 grams. The combination of Micro and Magnesium Phosphate fertilizers (M2MgP1) get the highest number of leaves at age 21 HST as many as 9.13.

Abstract

Fertilization through leaves intended that nutrients can be absorbed quickly by plants. Macro elements such as potassium (K) and micronutrients such as boron (B) and other micro elements are needed on soybeans. The research objective was to determine the effect of concentration of Boron and Potassium Fertilizer on Soybean Production Micro (Glycine max L. Merrill). This research was conducted in paddy fields in August up to November 2016, in the village Kertonegoro, district Jenggawah Jember district. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of two factors with three replications. The first factor is the concentration of potassium boron (KB) consists of 0 ml/l (KB0), 1.5 ml/l (KB1), 3 ml/l (KB2) and the second factor is the concentration of micro fertilizer (M) consisting of 0 g/l (M0), 0.125 g/l (M1), 0.25 g/l (M2). The results showed that fertilizer treatments of Potassium Boron influence on the parameters of a number of branches, number of pods and pod weight, but has no effect on the parameters plant height and number of leaves per plant soybeans. KB2 (3 ml/l) gives the highest production. Micro fertilizer treatment effect on the parameters pod number and weight of pods, but has no effect on the parameters plant height, number of leaves and number of branches. m2 (0,25 g/l) gave the highest soybean production. Potassium fertilizer combination treatment Micro Boron and give effect to the parameter number of pods and pod weight, but the effect on the parameters plant height, number of leaves and number of branches. The highest soybean production in KB2M1 treatment (potassium boron 3 ml/l and micro 0,125 g/l) which is 38.33 grams per plant.

This research was conducted at Bedadung Indah AA8 Housing, Jl. Teuku Umar, Tegal Besar Village, Kaliwates District, Jember Regency, which will be held from January 1, 2022 to February 23, 2022 at an altitude of ±89 meters above sea level. This research was conducted using a factorial 2 x 3 Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 replications. The first factor is nutrition (N) consisting of two levels of treatment, nutrient concentration AB mix 1000 ppm (N1) and nutrient concentration AB mix 1000 ppm combination of liquid biological fertilizer 2 ml/lt water (N2). The second factor was variety (V) which consisted of three levels of treatment, Pagoda mustard (V1), mustard green (V2) and mustard kailan (V3). The data obtained were then analyzed by uij F using the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 26 software for Windows, the significantly different results were further tested with Duncan at a level of 0.05. The results showed that the nutrient concentration of AB mix 1000 ppm with a combination of 2 ml/lt water (N2) liquid biological fertilizer gave the best response to the number of leaves and the fresh weight of mustard greens.. The interaction of nutrient concentration of AB mix and its combination with liquid biological fertilizer (N) and variety treatment (V) was not significantly different on the growth and production of three hydroponic mustard varieties using the DFT system.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the best concentration of AB Mix nutrients for the growth and production of four (4) phenotypes of honey gourd (Cucurbita moschata) hydroponic NFT system, as well as determine the growth and production of four (4) phenotypes of honey gourd hydroponic NFT system at different AB Mix nutrient concentrations. This research was carried out at Greenhouse DnR Hydroponic Farm Housing Pondok Bedadung Indah Block AA.01. Sumbersari District, Jember Regency, East Java with an altitude of 70 meters above sea level from November 2022 to January 2023. This study was conducted using a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) factorial 3 x 4 with 3 repeats. The first factor is the concentration of AB Mix (N) nutrients consisting of three (3) levels, namely: 700 – 1400 ppm (N1), 900 - 1700 ppm (N2), 1100 - 2000 ppm (N3) and the second factor: phenotype (B) consists of four (4) phenotypes, namely: Flat round (B1), Round oval (B2), Long-necked (B3), Notched (B4). The parameters observed in this study include plant height, number of leaves, number of male flowers, number of female flowers, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight, sweetness content.  The observed data were analyzed with the F test to determine the effect of treatment. Different results were marked, followed by a level of 0.05. Using Duncan software test with SPSS 26 for windows. The results showed that AB Mix nutrition with a concentration of N3 (1100-2000) ppm resulted in the highest growth and production of F4 honey pumpkin on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of male flowers, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight, sweetness content, The influence of F4 honey pumpkin phenotype causes fruit shape diversity on the parameters of fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight. F4 seeds are heterozygous.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the most appropriate concentration of AB mix nutrients for the growth and production of three varieties of mustard greens, and to obtain the effect of different concentrations on the growth and production of three varieties of mustard greens (Brassica Juncea L.) hydroponic NFT system. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse Jl. BaturradenKecamatanSumbersari, Jember Regency, East Java from December 1 2020 to January 4 2021. The research design used was a two-factor factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 replications. The first factor is the concentration of AB mix nutrients (N) consisting of two treatment levels, N1 800 - 1200 ppm and N2 1000 - 1400 ppm. The second factor is the mustard variety (V) which consists of three mustard varieties, Pakcoy Sawi (V1), Caisim Sawi (V2) and Samhong Jade Sawi (V3). The data obtained was then analyzed with the F test using SPSS 24 for Windows software at the 0.05 level. The results showed that the AB mix nutrient concentration (1000-1400) ppm gave the best response to the parameters of root length and chlorophyll content, while the concentration (800-1000) ppm responded best to the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, root weight and fresh weight. The samhong jade mustard variety provided higher growth and production than pakcoy mustard greens in the observation parameters of plant height, number of leaves, root length, chlorophyll content and root weight. The best interaction between the nutrient concentrations of the AB mix mustard variety is the concentration (1000-1400) ppm with the Samhong jade variety (N2V3) on all observation parameters.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension in the elderly is a silent killer condition that occurs due to the aging process. This needs attention because many elderly people are not aware of the signs or symptoms that appear. This community service activity aims to improve cadres' knowledge, abilities, and skills in handling hypertension in the elderly through counselling and training activities. It will also increase the knowledge and understanding of the elderly regarding hypertension. The benefits of this activity are expected to be used as promotive and preventive activities in improving community empowerment programs in sustainable health. Methods: This community service uses counselling and training activities. Counselling and training were carried out at the Elderly Posyandu, Ngargorejo Village, Boyolali, Central Java, using the total sampling technique. The results of the understanding and skills of cadres and the elderly were evaluated using questionnaires before and after counselling. Results: There were changes in the knowledge and skills of cadres and the elderly in monitoring the occurrence of hypertension. The average level of expertise of cadres and the elderly before counselling was 8.73, and after counselling, 9.77. There was an increase in the average value of 1.04. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a ρ value of 0.001. Conclusion: The provision of training and counselling on the level of knowledge of cadres and the elderly about hypertension is an influence. It is hoped that posyandu cadres and the elderly can work together to prevent and control hypertension in the community.

Abstract

Stunting pada masa kanak-kanak dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya kesakitan, kematian, menurunnya perkembangan kognitif, aktivitas fisik, produktivitas serta meningkatnya risiko penyakit degeneratif.  Pemberian makanan tambahan tinggi protein, Fe, seng, kalsium dapat meningkatkan tinggi badan secara bermakna. MPASI yang mengandung tinggi protein, Fe, seng dan kalsium serta harga terjangkau, dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif makanan yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi anak. Ikan teri dan hati ayam merupakan bahan makanan yang relatif murah dan mengandung zat gizi yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan. Bahan makanan berbentuk tepung mempunyai masa simpan yang panjang serta mudah dalam pendistribusiannya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh formulasi tepung hati ayam dan ikan teri pada MPASI yang paling disukai. Jenis penelitian eksperimental dengan metode rancangan acak lengkap. Formulasi terdiri atas F1, F2, F3, F4 dan F5 dengan perbandingan tepung hati ayam dan tepung ikan teri masing-masing 100%:0%; 75%:25%; 50%:50%; 25%:75%; 0%:100%. Uji organoleptik dilakukan oleh 70 panelis terhadap berbagai formula MPASI. Hasil penilaian organoleptif diuji statistic menggunakan ANOVA dan nilai rangking hedonic diuji menggunakan Friedman test. Warna yang paling disukai adalah F4 dengan rerata nilai kesukaan 4,4 (suka) dari maksimal nilai kesukaan 5. Karakteristik aroma, rasa dan tekstur MPASI yang paling disukai adalah F2 dengan rerata nilai kesukaan untuk aroma 4,38, rasa 4,34 dan tekstur 4,30. Berdasarkan Uji Friedman, MPASI yang paling disukai adalah F2 yang disusul dengan F3, F4, F1 dan terakhir F5. Formula MPASI dengan kombinasi tepung teri dan hati ayam cenderung lebih disukai dibandingkan formula tunggal dari tepung hati ayam maupun tepung ikan teri secara tersendiri.

Abstract

Background : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. One of the complications that can be caused by DM is gangrene, which is an infection of the feet due to a reduction in oxygen flow to the organs. This causes tissue death and if severe can cause amputation in people with DM. The management of managing DM is not only by administering medication, but also by diet therapy. This is aimed at maintaining the patient's nutritional status. It is necessary to carry out a Standardized Nutritional Care Process (NCP) to optimize nutritional services for DM patients Objective : To determine the effect of the Standardized Nutrition Care Process (NCP) on type 2 DM patients with sepsis after gangrene surgery Research Methods : The method used in this research was qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. The subject in this case study was a 52 year old female patient who was treated at RSUD dr. Soebandi Jember with a medical diagnosis of type 2 DM with sepsis after gangrene surgery. Patients was given a standardized nutritional care process during hospitalization. The research time was 3-7 November 2022. Research analysis uses using descriptive analysis. Research Result : The results of NCP showed that the patient had underweight nutritional status. During monitoring, the evaluation showed that the patient's blood biochemical levels during the nutritional care process had not shown improvement because they were still below normal values. Furthermore, the patient's physical and clinical condition improved even though his appetite was still low. Then the results of the consumption survey with 24-hour food recall show that the patient's food intake is still <80%, still in the severe deficit category during the process of providing nutritional care. Conclusion : NCP provides to patients has not shown significant improvement due to post-surgery. There is a need to modify the food menu and motivate patients to increase the patient's appetite and food intake so that the patient's nutritional status can be improved.

Abstract

Background: Fruit and vegetable have advantages as a source of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals which play an important role in growth and disease prevention. Low vegetable and fruit intake in children is associated with a risk of health problems in adulthood. Purpose: To determine the relationship of knowledge, availability, and preferences with the consumption of vegetables and fruit in elementary school children. Methods: The research location is SDN 01 Hajimena, Natar District, South Lampung. There were 66 students who participated in this study. Participants were grade 5 and 6 students who were taken by systematic random sampling of 199 students. The design of this study was cross-sectional, when data collection was conducted in May 2023. Data analysis used the Chi-Squared test. Result: The results showed that the consumption of vegetables and fruit for school children was low. The average consumption of vegetables is 159 grams/day while fruit consumption is 102 grams/day. Conclusion: Knowledge, availability, preferences of vegetables and fruit correlated with vegetable and fruit consumption (p<0.05).
