Abstract

Background: Careworkers in Japan are one of the jobs that are popular with Indonesian nurses. The results of interviews with careworkers in Osaka, Japan, led to symptoms of work stress, both physical symptoms, mental symptoms, and social symptoms. Previous research stated that caregivers working in Japan experienced low stress levels as many as 6 respondents (17.1%), moderate stress levels as many as 24 respondents (68.6%) and high stress levels as many as 5 respondents (14.3%). Purpose: To identify and analyze the relationship between social support and stress levels in Indonesian nurses as elderly caregivers. Method: A quantitative descriptive with a correlation study using the Chi Square statistical test. The total population of the community of caregivers in Japan is 70 people. Results: There were 33 careworkers with high social support who had moderate work stress, the Chi Square test obtained a result of 0.003 which means that there is a relationship between social support and work stress in caregivers working. Conclusion: There was a positive relationship between social support variables and stress levels of nurses working in hospitals and nursing home facilities. Abstract

Purpose: This line-following mobile robot training program aims to foster junior high school students' interest and motivation in robotics, equip them with basic knowledge and skills, and encourage the development of sustainable robotics learning in schools. Methodology: This training method involves preparation stages, socialization and selection of participants, implementation of interactive learning, starting with the basics of robotics and moving on to programming and testing, evaluating student results and interests, and further mentoring, including forming a robotics club. Results: The training increased student enthusiasm and participation, strengthened conceptual understanding and skills in assembling and programming robots, and positively impacted students' technical and soft skills. Conclusions: This training effectively improves junior high school students' digital literacy and robotics skills with structured and fun methods, while supporting the development of sustainable robotics learning in schools. Limitations: Limitations include the limited number of tools, short training time, variation in student abilities, and incomplete evaluation of soft skills and long-term impacts. Contribution: This program increases students' interest, knowledge, and robotics skills, builds an innovative technology learning culture, and becomes a learning model for further activities.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan masalah kesehatan global dengan peningkatan prevalensi yang signifikan, termasuk pada kelompok usia remaja. Komplikasi kronis DM, seperti kaki diabetik, dapat menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas tinggi jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Remaja putri, sebagai calon ibu dan pengambil keputusan kesehatan keluarga, memiliki peran krusial dalam pencegahan dan pengelolaan DM, termasuk perawatan kaki diabetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja putri tentang perawatan kaki diabetik melalui intervensi edukasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada bulan 10 Mei 2025. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta dengan jumlah responden yaitu 120 peserta. Kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu memberikan pendidikan Kesehatan  tentang Definisi dan Komplikasi DM, pencegahan dan perawatan ulkus kaki diabetik.

Abstract

This article aims to explore technology implementation strategies in the Ijarah contract process at Islamic banks to enhance operational efficiency, Sharia compliance, and customer satisfaction. The research method employed is a qualitative approach through library research, involving the analysis of secondary data from scientific journals, books, research reports, and policy documents related to Islamic banking and technology. The analysis is conducted by categorizing information based on the type of technology and its impact on efficiency and Sharia compliance, as well as using descriptive and comparative approaches to identify relevant patterns and relationships. The research findings indicate that the application of technologies such as digital document management systems, electronic signatures, and online platforms can optimize the Ijarah contract process by reducing time and costs while improving transparency and accuracy. However, challenges such as resistance to change and high initial costs must be addressed through training, effective communication, and collaboration with technology providers who understand Sharia principles. This research contributes by offering technology implementation strategies that can strengthen the competitive advantage of Islamic banks in an increasingly digital market and provide in-depth insights for the development of Islamic banking theory and practice.

Abstract

Teenage pregnancy remains a public health problem occurring in various regions, caused by juvenile delinquency. Adolescents aged 10–19 years are at risk of pregnancy, which can lead to physical, psychological, and social impacts. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge regarding the risks of pregnancy among adolescent girls at the community health posts (Posyandu) in the working area of Penumping Community Health Center. Methods: This study employed a descriptive quantitative method. A total of 59 respondents were selected using stratified random sampling, with sampling in each stratum conducted through simple random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: The characteristics of respondents based on age showed that most were aged 13–15 years, totaling 25 respondents (42.4%). Based on education level, most respondents were junior high school students, totaling 24 respondents (40.7%). Based on sources of information, most respondents obtained information from health education sessions, totaling 24 respondents (40.7%). The level of knowledge of the respondents showed that 39 respondents (66.1%) had good knowledge. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of adolescent girls regarding the risks of teenage pregnancy was in the good category, with scores ranging from 75–100%.

Abstract

People with diabetes mellitus (DM) can experience various complications if they do not have a good lifestyle. People with DM must comply with medication, physical activity, diet, and education to improve a healthy lifestyle. One effort that can be made to improve compliance is to provide Self-Management Counseling (SMC) with the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) approach. This quasi-experimental study involved two groups of DM patients. 79 respondents were selected with the criteria of not having the disease and having diabetes for 2 years. Respondents were divided into an intervention group (40 people) and a control group (39). The results showed that there were differences in compliance with diet (p = 0.001), activity (p = <0.001), treatment (p = <0.001), and education (p = 0.002) between the intervention group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that SMC with the TTM approach has proven effective in improving compliance with type 2 diabetes patients—both compliance with diet, activity, treatment, and education.

Abstract

Imunisasi dasar lengkap sangat penting untuk melindungi bayi dari berbagai penyakit menular yang dapat dicegah sejak dini. Pengetahuan ibu yang memadai diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan dalam membawa bayi untuk mendapatkan imunisasi sesuai jadwal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang imunisasi dasar lengkap dengan kepatuhan pemberian imunisasi dasar pada bayi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 71 orang ibu yang bayi berusia 1-2 tahun yang dipilih secara accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, serta dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan langkah-langkah mereduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 27 responden (38,0%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, 29 responden (40,8%) cukup, dan 15 responden (21,1%) kurang. Sementara itu, 41 responden (57,7%) tergolong patuh dalam memberikan imunisasi dasar, dan 30 responden (42,3%) tidak patuh. Hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai p-value sebesar 0,014 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang imunisasi dasar lengkap dengan kepatuhan pemberian imunisasi dasar lengkap. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya edukasi dan pendampingan berkelanjutan guna meningkatkan cakupan imunisasi dasar di masyarakat.

Abstract

ASI eksklusif selama enam bulan pertama sangat dianjurkan WHO dan UNICEF, namun cakupannya di Indonesia, termasuk Kota Baubau, masih rendah. Data Dinas Kesehatan menunjukkan penurunan signifikan di Puskesmas Wajo (7,7% pada 2023). Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu menyusui dengan praktik ASI eksklusif di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian kuantitatif cross-sectional ini melibatkan 58 ibu menyusui (bayi usia 6-12 bulan) dengan accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis secara univariat (distribusi frekuensi) dan bivariat uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden berusia 31-45 tahun (51,7%), berpendidikan Strata 1 (41,4%), dan sebagai ibu rumah tangga (41,4%). Sebanyak 91,4% memiliki pengetahuan baik tentang ASI eksklusif, dan 79,3% bersikap positif. Praktik ASI eksklusif mencapai 81,0%. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan (p=0,000) dan sikap (p=0,000) dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Namun, analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama, pengetahuan dan sikap tidak berpengaruh signifikan (p>0,01).

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to deploy, and commission decentralized drinking-water service points for a river-dependent community on Kemarau Island, Palembang, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 6 by expanding access to treated water at low operating cost. A needs-based field procedure included a site survey, raw-water intake assessment, demand and electrical-load estimation, UF–solar pumping system design, component selection, and installation of a 300 Wp photovoltaic array (3×100 Wp), a 100 Ah battery, a controller/inverter unit, a 450 W pump, an ultrafiltration (UF) unit, and 250 L/600 L storage tanks. The system then underwent commissioning tests (leak checks, pump start–stop tests, and continuous-run trials), operator training, and formal handover to the neighbourhood association. Results showed stable operation of the intake pump–UF pump–storage tank series. The 250 L treated-water tank filled within 20–30 minutes, indicating an effective flow rate of 8.3–12.5 L/min (≈500–750 L/h). Water appeared clearer and odourless, and pH increased from 5.5 (raw water) to 6.9 (treated water). The system demonstrated service readiness and initial treatment performance and may reduce reliance on grid/diesel pumping; however, routine logs and scheduled laboratory testing for turbidity and microbiological indicators are required to verify long-term water safety.
