Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the traditional congklak game on the math abilities of second-grade students in Mathematics at State Elementary School 08 Pinang Sebatang Timur in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest experimental design in one group, involving 25 students as a sample. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests and student participation questionnaires, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The pretest results showed an average value of student learning outcomes of 49.6 with a low category, while the posttest results increased to 80.6 with a high category. The Pearson correlation test produced a coefficient of 0.968 with a significance of 5%, which indicates a strong positive relationship between the application of traditional congklak game media and students' arithmetic abilities. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis test using the t-test obtained a value of t count ≥ t table, namely 18.450 ≥ 1.1708, which means there is a significant influence between the use of traditional congklak game media on students' arithmetic abilities. Thus, the research hypothesis states that there is a significant influence of the traditional game of congklak on students' arithmetic skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the project-based learning (pjbl) learning model on student learning outcomes in the Science and Social Education subject class IV SD Negeri 060830 Medan Petisah Academic Year 2024/2025. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research type. To obtain data in this study, 26 questions were used as many test instruments. The number of research samples was 26 students based on the saturated sampling technique. The results of this study show that before being given pretest, students have an average learning outcome of 41.26 which is included in the poor category. After being given treatment, the results of the (posttest) had an increase with an average score of student learning outcomes of 79.84 by achieving a good category score. It can be said that the success rate of student learning outcomes has increased, as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation obtained r_count ≥ r_tabel with a result of 0.611 ≥ 0.388. Next, hypothesis testing that compares the t_count ≥ t_table . The obtained value of t_count = 3,780 while t_table =1,706. Because t_count ≥ t_table (3,780 ≥ 1,706 then H_a is accepted and H_o is rejected. Through the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive between the type PjBL Learning model (X) on student learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of the problem-based learning model on students’ learning outcomes in theme 8 of the area where I live in class IV SD. The study in this paper uses associative quantitative methods. The research population involves 31 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 065013 Tanjung Sari Medan. The sampling uses a purposive sample and there are 31 students. The results indicate that students’ learning outcomes using the problembased learning model are included in the good category with an average of 78.19 with a correlation test result of 0.977, which means rcount 0.977 ≥ rtable 0.355, then Ha is accepted. Therefore, there is a significant effect between the use of the problem-based learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the theme of the area where I live in class IV SD Negeri 065013 Tanjung Sari Medan. It can be seen from the results of the T-test where tcount 24.598 ≥ ttable 2.045 so that Ha is accepted. As a result, there is a significant positive effect from the use of the problem-based learning model on student’s learning outcomes in theme 8 of the area where I live in class IV SD Negeri 065013 Tanjung Sari Medan in the academic year 2022/2023

Abstract

This study examines the effect of using songs as learning media on fourth-grade students’ learning motivation in Natural Science subjects at Free Methodist 2 Private Elementary School, Medan, during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research employed an experimental method with a population of 84 fourth-grade students distributed across three classes. A purposive sampling technique was applied, selecting class IV C as the research sample, consisting of 30 students. The findings indicate that students’ learning motivation when using song-based media falls into the high category, with an average score of 79.23. The correlation analysis yielded a coefficient of 0.865, where the calculated r-value exceeded the r-table value (0.865 ≥ 0.361), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Furthermore, the results of the t-test demonstrate a significant effect of song media on students’ learning motivation, as shown by the calculated t-value being greater than the t-table value (9.123 ≥ 1.071). These results confirm that the use of song media has a positive and significant influence on fourth-grade students’ motivation in learning Natural Science at Free Methodist 2 Elementary School, Medan, in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This article discusses the analysis of students’ low interest as the factor in mathematics learning subjects. Research method used was a qualitative method with the approach of a case study to produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the subject or actor and observed behaviour. Purpose of the study was to discover in-depth and try to find out the meaning that underlied the students' interest in mathematics learning subjects. The informant in the interviews involved seven people, three students as main informants who had low math scores, three parents, and one homeroom teacher at the sixth-grade level of SDN 038095 Barisan Sirait Sinehi Dairi. To find out the factors of students’ low interest in mathematics learning subjects, the researcher conducted direct observations and interviews. After achieving the results of interviews, the researchers obtained information that students who had a low interest in mathematics learning subjects were influenced by a number of factors. They were (1) students' time off who was less at home, (2) students who were not interested in mathematics learning subjects, (3) parents who never helped students in learning, (4) students' fear of asking the teacher, (5) media and learning tools that were never used in class, (6) parents who never accompanied students to learn mathematics, and (7) students who did not know how to develop their own interests.

Abstract

This article reports the effect of playing online games on students’ learning achievement at Wesley 2 Private Elementary School Tanjung Morawa in Deli Serdang in the academic year 2021/2022. The research used a descriptive-analytical research method. The research population involved 31 students, which consisted of 3 classes, class III, IV, and V at Wesley 2 Private Elementary School Tanjung Morawa in Deli Serdang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The results indicated that the results of the correlation test can be seen in the correlation coefficient value of -0.832 where rcount (-0.832) > rtable (0.355), thus, it could be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It means that there is a significant negative effect between playing online games and students’ learning achievement at Wesley 2 Private Elementary School Tanjung Morawa in Deli Serdang. It can also be seen from the results of the t-test where tcount > ttable. It was obtained tcount of -8.074. If it was customized with the value of ttable on degrees of freedom (df) = 29 of 1.699, which was tcount (-8.074) > ttable (1.699), thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It shows that there was a significant positive effect of playing online games on the learning achievement of Wesley 2 Private Elementary School students Tanjung Morawa in Deli Serdang in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

This article is derived from the implementation of the influence of learning independence on students’ learning outcomes at the third-grade level of SDN 030398 Lae Rambong Silima Pungga-Pungga in Dairi in the academic year 2021/2022. The research method used was survey research with a quantitative method. The population of research involved all students of SDN 030398 Lae Rambong. The technique used by the researchers was random sampling with a number of 30 students at class III elementary school. The data collection tool used by the researchers was a questionnaire on learning independence, which was distributed to 30 students. Whilst, learning outcomes could be seen from the students' scores. To test the hypothesis, it was used t-test hypothesis. The results showed that learning independence (X) had an average value of 78.87 and learning outcomes (Y) had an average value of 70. The results of the correlation coefficient of the research were rxy = 0.738 with the results of t-test hypothesis testing tcount 5,782 > ttable 2,048 with a significant level α = 0.05. H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which meant that there was a significant influence between learning independence and the learning outcomes of third-grade students at Elementary School 030398 Lae Rambong.
