Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Kajian Asma Bronkial Pada Pasien Dewasa Di Instalasi Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Umum Anutapura Palu dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengobatan asma bronkial pada pasien dewasa di RSU Anutapura Palu berdasarkan interaksi obat, kontraindikasi dan efek samping. Populasi penelitian adalah semua pasien yang menderita asma bronkial yang menjalani rawat inap di RSU Anutapura Palu, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah pasien asma bronkial yang dirawat inap di RSU Anutapura Palu selama penelitian dilakukan menggunakan rancangan participant observation dengan pndekatan cross sectional menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Parameter yang digunakan adalah persentase kesesuaian obat berdasarkan dosis, indikasi, interaksi obat, kontraindikasi dan efek samping obat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase penggunaan obat berdasarkan tepat indikasi yang sesuai adalah 100%, persentase interaksi obat 100% tidak terjadi interaksi obat dan persentase penggunaan obat berdasarkan efek samping obat yang sesuai adalah 100%.

Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera) is an Indonesian commodity that has high economic value tall. Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is one of the processed coconut products whose selling value is very high, because The composition of VCO consists of medium-chain fatty acids that can maintain a healthy body and prevent various diseases. The process of making VCO used in This research is an enzymatic method using pineapple weevil as a bromelain enzyme. This study aims to determine the effect of enzymatic administration of VCO and an enzymatic dose of VCO which is effective in reducing urea and creatinine levels in hypercholesterolemic-diabetic male white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study was an experimental laboratory with a modified pretest and posttest randomized controlled group design using 30 test animals which were divided into 6 treatment groups. Each group consisted of 5 test animals, namely normal control, negative control, and positive control, with doses of 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 mL/kg BW. The data obtained were analyzed using a One Way Anova and non- parametric statistical test by Kruskal Wallis. test and followed by a further Mann Whitney test to determine differences between treatments. The results showed that enzymatic VCO at a dose of 0.8 mL/kg BW was an effective dose in reducing urea and creatinine levels with an average decrease of 17.40 mg/dL and 0.36 mg/dL. The novelty in this study showed that the enzymatic VCO had an effect on reducing urea and creatinine levels in diabetic hypercholesterolemic male white rats.

Abstract

Obat tradisional adalah bahan atau ramuan berbahan tumbuhan, hewan, mineral, sediaan sarian (galenik), atau campuran dari bahan tersebut yang secara turun temurun telah digunakan untuk pengobatan. Penggunaan obat tradisional ini di era moderinisasi ini diperkuat oleh riset-riset yang ada dengan data yang kompelementer membuat masyarakat lebih memilih pengobatan dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan alami. Diabetes merupakan penyakit yang tidak asing dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari yang dapat diobati menggunakan obat-obatan dari tumbuhan. Diabetes merupakan masalah kesehatan yang banyak menarik perhatian karena angka prevalensi yang bertambah setiap tahunnya, terutama di negara berkembang seperti di Indonesia. , sehingga perlu adanya edukasi pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat diabetes mellitus di masyarakat desa Lampo. Edukasi melalui penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah interaktif. Efektivitas penyuluhan ini dapat diuji dengan pemberian kuisiner kepuasan mitra terhadap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Hasil pengamatan kegiatan menunjukkan 95% mitra merasa puas dengan edukasi tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the toxic effects of purple leaf ethanol extract on lymph organs at doses of 500; 2.000; and 5.000 mg/kgBB administered for 28 days and and to determine the antioxidant activity of purple leaf Graptophyllum pictum (L.) This study is an experimental study with a random group design, using 20 test animals divided into 4 groups consisting of two treatment groups, namely in the normal control group given Na-CMC 0.5% and the experimental group given PLEE (k1: dose 500 mg/kgBB, k2: dose 2.000 mg/kgBB and k3: dose 5.000 mg/kgBB hematoxylin-eosin staining (HE) using a computer-connected Motic BA210 microscope with 40X magnification in 5 fields of view and antioxidant test using DPPH method with UV-Vis Spectrophotometer at 516 nm wavelength with concentration 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 ppm. The results showed that leaf ethanol extract was toxic at a dose of 2.000 mg/kgBB – 5.000 mg/kgBB against the diameter of lymphatic organ pulp, organ index and organ weight, there were symptoms of toxicity and purple leaf ethanol extract had strong antioxidant activity with 66.26 μg/mL.

Abstract

Traditional herbal medicine has become increasingly popular as an alternative to conventional medical treatments. Although the plant offers numerous health benefits, caution should be exercised regarding its long-term use. Long-term use of traditional herbal remedies can have detrimental effects on the kidneys. This study was designed to assess the histological changes in the kidneys of male rats following 28 days of purple sage leaf extract administration and to identify potential harmful effects. The study utilized 20 male Wistar rats and utilized a randomized group design for the experimental methodology. Rats were categorized into four distinct groups, consisting of one control group and three treatment groups. The control group received solely sodium chloride, whereas the treatment group 1 (P1) received 500 mg/kg BB of purple sage ethanol extract. Treatment group 2 received up to 2000 mg/kg BB of purple sage ethanol extract, while treatment group 3 received up to 5000 mg/kg BB. The oral examination was conducted for a duration of 28 days. The treatment groups showed an increase in weight and organ index of the right kidney. The findings suggest a potential for toxicity resulting from the administration of purple sage leaf extract over a duration of 28 days.

Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus on the pancreas that can end up in chronic pancreas failure. Various treatment options to repair pancreas damage due to diabetic nephropathy, one of which is by using Anredera cordifolia leaves. This study aims to determine the content of secondary metabolites in Anredera cordifolia leaves ethanol extract, and to determine the effective dose of Anredera cordifolia leaves ethanol extract in regenerating male white rat kidney cells. This study uses a laboratory experimental method. This study used 30 rats divided into 6 treatment groups, each group consisting of 5 test animals, namely normal group, negative control, positive control, dose of 25 mg/kg BW, dose 50 mg/kg BW, and dose 100 mg/kg bw. The level of histological damage to the renal tubules was observed with HE staining using an Olympus CX23 microscope. The data from the scoring of the level of renal tubular damage were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test followed by the Mann-Whitney test to see the differences between treatments. The results showed that the Anredera cordifolia leaves ethanol extract contained secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins; Anredera cordifolia leaves ethanol extract has an effect on kidney cell repair; Anredera cordifolia leaves ethanol extract at a dose of 100 mg/kg bw is effective reducing urea and creatinine; with an average decrease of 17.0 and 0.71 mg/dL in repairing kidney cells with an average damage value of 1.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahan alami yang murni oleh masyarakat dan digunakan secara turun temurun berdasarkan kepercayaan dan keyakinan masyarakat setempat yang merupakan warisan leluhur dinamakan Obat tradisional. Penggunaan bahan alami ini diyakini tidak memberikan efek samping dan aman digunakan hingga sampai saat ini salah satu sediaan bahan alami ini yang merupakan racikan masyarakat yang pada umumnya dilakukan di Sulawesi Tengah adalah minyak gosok. Minyak gosok adalah minyak herbal yang dapat digunakan untuk mengobati gatal, pegal-pegal sampai rematik yang dapat memberikan rasa hangat, sehingga dapat memberikan rasa yang nyaman dan segar. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan demostrasi pembuatan minyak gosok secara langsung dengan harapan masyarakat dapat menambah pengetahuan tentang cara pembuatan minyak gosok dari bahan-bahan alami dan dapat dijadikan usaha mandiri oleh masyarakat Desa Sopu.

Abstract

Sasar penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui dosis terbaik untuk histologi pankreas dan metabolits sekunders pada konsentrat etanolik daun pepaya (Carica papaya L). Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan laboratorium dengan 30 ekor tikus sebagai hewan uji. Hewan uji di bagi menjadi enam kelompok perlakuan masing-masing lima ekor tikus. Suspensi Na-CMC diberikan pada kelompok 2 (control negatif), glibenklamid diberikan pada kelompok 3 (control positif), dan 100, 200, dan 300mg/kgBB konsentrat etanol daun pepaya (Carica papaya L) diberikan pada kelompok 4, 5, dan 6. Konsentrat etanol daun pepaya mengandung senyawa metabolits sekunders antara lain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, dan tanins, sesuai temuan. Pepaya Etanol daun pepaya secara bermakna mempengaruhi gambaran histopatologi pankreas, Etanol daun pepaya terpisah pada porsi 300mg/kgBB merupakan bagian yang mempengaruhi gambaran histopatologi pankreas dengan skor tipikal 1,2.

Abstract

Tanaman binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan herbal yang memiliki khasiat sebagai tanaman bahan obat yang digunakan untuk berbagai penyakit sepeti kerusakan hati, diabetes, jantung, tekanan darah tinggi, muntah darah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kadar metabolit sekunder dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis dan uji antioksidan  serta aktivitas hepatoprotektif daun binahong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah spektrofotometri UV-Vis dan DPPH serta uji lanjut Kruskal-Wallis dan uji ManWhitney terhadap hepar tikus diabetes melitus. Hasil analisis kualitatif Ekstrak Daun binahong mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti Alkaloid, Flavonoid, Saponin dan Tanin. Pada Uji kuantitatif diperoleh kadar total untuk flavonoid adalah 0,2433% b/b, saponin 0,1631% b/b, tanin 0,2512% b/b dan alkaloid 0,0350% b/b dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol daun binahong diperoleh hasil berdasarkan nilai IC50 sebesar 61,9 ppm termasuk dalam kategori antioksidan kuat. Pada histopatologi hewan uji diinduksi dengan streptozotocin dan diberikan perlakuan masing-masing kelompok kontrol normal yang tidak diinduksi, kontrol negatif Na CMC 0,5%, kontrol positif  Metformin, kelompok uji yang diberikan ekstrak masing-masing dengan dosis 25, 50 dan 100 mg/kg BB. Pada penelitian ini ekstrak daun binahong  memiliki aktivitas sebagai hepatoprotektor pada dosis 100 mg/BB tikus diabetes melitus.

Abstract

Background: Traditional medicine plays a role in alternative treatment systems for diabetes mellitus. Objectives: This study aimed to screen the secondary metabolite of the ethanol extract from robusta coffee (Coffea canephora Pierre) seeds. We aimed to clarify the effects of these extracts on blood glucose, urea, and creatinine levels in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats. Material and Methods: Phytochemical screening of extracts was carried out qualitatively according to standard methods. The rats were administered ethanol extracts of C. canephora Pierre seeds at doses of 100, 200, and 300 mg/kg body weight for 28 days. Blood glucose, urea, and creatinine levels were then compared between the control and diabetes groups. Results: The ethanol extract of C. canephora Pierre seeds contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. Group doses of 100-300 mg/kg body weight can significantly reduce blood glucose, urea, and creatinine levels. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract C. canephora Pierre seeds is a potential source of antidiabetic. Conclusions: The ethanol extract of C. canephora Pierre seeds shows potential as an antidiabetic agent.
