Abstract

Abstract

This article delves into the application of Maria Montessori's and Lev Vygotsky's thoughts within the realm of inclusive education. Employing a descriptive comparative methodology, it meticulously scrutinizes both theorists' perspectives to uncover the convergences and divergences in their views on inclusive educational practices. Drawing upon an extensive literature analysis of the original works of Montessori and Vygotsky, as well as relevant research studies, this research aims to shed light on the synergies and disparities between their pedagogical philosophies. The research findings reveal common ground in their emphasis on active learning methodologies, recognition of the significance of progression and procedural learning, and a shared commitment to prioritizing the child's individual needs within the educational framework. Nevertheless, the research underscores the distinctive features within Montessori's advocacy for fostering independence and self-exploration, juxtaposed with Vygotsky's emphasis on the pivotal role of social interaction and guided instruction. The practical implications distilled from their respective viewpoints furnish valuable insights that resonate with the design and implementation of inclusive learning strategies. By interweaving Montessori's self-directed learning ideals with Vygotsky's scaffolding concept, the article contends that an enriched and adaptive approach to inclusive education can be cultivated. This study endeavors to enrich the discourse surrounding the integration of Montessori's and Vygotsky's pedagogical tenets, fostering a comprehensive understanding of how these distinct yet complementary philosophies can be harnessed to fashion an inclusive educational environment that not only accommodates the diverse needs of all learners but also nurtures their holistic growth.

A positive brand image is a very valuable asset and a strong capital to influence prospective new students. The existence of promotional activities and a good brand image will influence the students' decision to choose the educational institution. This study uses a quantitative research method with a causality approach. The sample in this study were 84 respondents using a proportionate random sampling technique, namely where all members have the same opportunity to be sampled according to their proportions. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents and tested using multiple linear regression tests with the help of SPSS 22. The results showed that the promotion variable (X1) had a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose (Y1), seen from testing the hypothesis T test where tcount t table (2.635 1.989) and a significant level of less than 0.05 (0.010 0.05), brand image variable (X2) has a positive and significant influence on the decision to choose (Y1), seen from testing the hypothesis t test where tcount ttable (4.449 1.989) and a significance value of less than 0.05 (0.000 0.05), the promotion variable (X1) and brand image (X2) on the decision to choose (Y1) have a simultaneous effect, seen from the F test, namely Fcount Ftable (26.601 3.11) and a significance level of less than 0.05 (0.000 0.05).

Abstract

Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Hout) is a plantation crop that has high economic value. Good growth of nutmeg must be started from using good seeds and to get good seeds, the seeding technique must use good quality seeds and good shade. The people of Rumahkay Village use different shelters for seeding nutmeg seedlings, for this reason it is necessary to evaluate which type of shade is better. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type of shade on the growth of nutmeg seedlings, to determine which type of shade is the best. This research was carried out from August 2022 to September 2022 in Rumahkay Village, Amalatu District, West Seram Regency. This experiment was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 8 levels of shade treatment (N0=no shade; N1=zeng; N2= plastic; N3= paranet; N4=roof house; N5= sago leaves; N6= mosquito net and N7= banner) which was repeated 4 times. Parameters measured were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and total leaf area. The results of the analysis show that the type of shade treatment has a significant and not significant effect on all observation parameters. The results of the Fisher LSD 95% test showed that the shade type N3 (70% paranet) produced the best nutmeg seeds compared to other types of shade.

Abstract

This research aims to compare Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory in the context of developing individual potential. The study utilizes literature review and comparative analysis as the research method to compare the two theories. In the pursuit of optimizing individual potential, the growth mindset emphasizes the importance of a developing mindset, viewing failures as opportunities for learning, and creating a supportive learning environment. On the other hand, multiple intelligences theory acknowledges the diversity of intelligences and advocates for the development of all types of intelligence in education. In inclusive modern education, the application of both theories can motivate students to grow and learn, develop self-confidence, and optimize their potential in various areas of intelligence. Through this approach, modern education can create a stimulating environment, facilitate holistic development, and produce individuals who are prepared to face future challenges. By understanding the differences and similarities between these two theories, education can adopt an inclusive approach that focuses on the full development of each individual's potential, ensuring that students are empowered to achieve academic success and optimal personal growth.

Abstract

: The objective of this study is to ascertain how the Team Games Tournament instructional strategy affects students' academic success. A quasi-experimental design was used for this study. The participants were chosen using a random selection method. Students from class A, the experimental group, who were taught utilizing the Team Games Tournament learning model, and students from class B, who were instructed utilizing a scientific manner, made up the sample. The data's normality was evaluated using the Shapiro-Wilk method, homogeneity was tested using the Levene method, and the research hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney method. The Mann-Whitney test findings show that a significance level of 0.02, which is less than 0.05, was reached. This demonstrates that the cooperative learning approach known as the TGT (team games tournament) has a significant effect on student learning results.
