Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors on regional economic growth in Depok City during the 2020–2024 period. Although agricultural land area has declined to 157.42 hectares in 2024, this sector exhibits a paradoxical phenomenon in the form of an increasing growth rate, thereby necessitating a strategic evaluation of its development potential. Using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data, this study applies the Location Quotient (LQ), Basic Service Ratio (BSR), Regional Investment Multiplier (RIM), Shift Share, and Klassen Typology methods. The results indicate that the economy of Depok City is driven by ten base sectors, including construction, trade, and financial services. Although the agricultural sector is classified as a non-base sector with an average LQ value of 0.50, it falls into the category of a potential sector in Quadrant III of the Klassen Typology due to its growth rate of 17.76 percent, which significantly exceeds the average growth rate of the reference region. Furthermore, a BSR value of 1.70 and an RIM value of 1.58 indicate that each one-unit increase in growth in the base sector is able to generate a substantial stimulus to non-base sector activities as well as an overall increase in regional income. This study concludes that despite the ongoing process of economic modernization, the agricultural sector in Depok City remains competitive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Instagram usage on consumer purchase intention for Otak-Otak Bakar products in Sepatan Timur District, using Otak-Otak Bakar Pak Slamet as the case study. A quantitative approach with a correlational survey method was applied, involving 100 respondents selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring four independent variables, namely Context, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection, toward Purchase Intention as the dependent variable. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that all four variables simultaneously have a significant effect on purchase intention. Partially, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection have significant influence, while Context shows no significant effect. Communication contributes through clear information and fast responses. Collaboration is the most dominant variable supported by consumer testimonials and reviews. Connection strengthens emotional closeness and digital loyalty, whereas Context does not strongly encourage purchasing decisions. These findings indicate that interaction, social proof, and emotional connection on Instagram play a stronger role in shaping purchase intention than visual content alone.

Abstract

The chatbot is a manifestation of Artificial Intelligence that can replace humans in engaging in conversational interactions and providing information services to users or visitors. Chatbots generally interact through text messages, voice, images, and other mediums. In this study, a web-based chatbot application was developed for a journal website called the Journal of Multidisciplinary Issues, aiming to relieve site administrators from having to repeatedly answer the same visitor questions. The development of the chatbot application followed the Rapid Application Development method, involving several stages including planning, design, system development, implementation, and testing. The application was built using Google Dialogflow services, employing Natural Language Processing techniques, along with the integration feature called Dialogflow Messenger, which offers a wide range of response options for journal websites utilizing Open Journal Systems. The chatbot application was evaluated using Alpha and Closed Beta Testing methodologies, which yielded promising results. The chatbot demonstrated the ability to provide appropriate responses after being tested with various question scenarios, achieving a score of 85.25% in the questionnaire-based assessment, which aimed to gauge visitor perspectives on the developed chatbot application. Future research endeavors should focus on integrating the chatbot with popular social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, or LINE.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the intellectual biography of Henry Alexis Rudolf (HAR) Tilaar, one of Indonesia’s most prominent educational figures, particularly in the context of critical-transformative pedagogy. Tilaar viewed education not merely as a medium of knowledge transmission but as an instrument for liberating human beings from injustice, oppression, and social inequality by fostering critical awareness among individuals and society. The research employs the historical method with a literature review approach as the primary source to trace the dynamics of Tilaar’s educational thought over time. The findings reveal that Tilaar’s ideas evolved in an unusual trajectory: beginning with a conservative tendency in his youth, moving toward a constructive orientation during his service at Bappenas, and later becoming increasingly critical and radical after his retirement. This pattern stands in contrast to the general tendency among scholars, who often grow more conservative as their socio-economic status becomes more secure, whereas Tilaar became progressively more critical and radical in his educational perspectives.
