Abstract

This study on the potential of the coconut company used field research (field research), and the research method was quantitative analysis. The possible distribution region for coconut has an average land area of 0.5-1.5 hectares. Coconut is harvested four times each year, with an average yield of 450–1600 pieces. The average coconut output and harvest per tree remains within the normal product range of 25-30 fruit per tree. The potential and distribution of the coconut agro-industry in East Kolaka Regency is established in 5 sub-districts, namely Aere, Ladongi, Lambandia, Loea, and Poli-Polia Districts. The types of products produced are generally copra products with an average income of IDR 2,000,000-IDR 50,000, and the production costs used are IDR 1,000,000-IDR 39,250,000, so that an average of IDR 1,000,000- IDR 17,200,000.

Abstract

Kendari City is part of the Wanggu watershed, which is one of the cities that still has problems related to waterlogging and flooding. Based on historical data in the last 10 years, Kendari City is an area that floods occurs almost every year. Therefore, to deal with problems in the Wanggu watershed, especially in Kendari City, it is necessary to apply water conservation technology by applying biopore infiltration holes. The purpose of this community dedication is to conduct water conservation education for flood prevention to youth groups and the community through environmental care Action. The method used in groundwater conservation activities is a participatory approach through a pilot unit involving the youth group and the local community. This activity has succeeded in making biopori infiltration holes which are applied to places that are flooded when it rains. The making and installation of biopore infiltration holes was carried out to 15 points of standing water as a pilot. the performance of the installed biopori goes well and functions as it should. This process has been monitored at the stage of monitoring and evaluation activities during the process and after the implementation of the activities.

Abstract

The use of ecoenzymes is an effort to answer the problem of using inorganic fertilizers and environmental damage which is increasingly being used among farmers because their use has a negative impact. The target of implementing community service activities that are integrated with the Thematic KKN program are farmers in Lebo Jaya Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency which have been designated as Organic Agriculture Areas. Most of the farmers in Lebo Jaya Village still use inorganic fertilizers and synthetic pesticides. The purpose of this activity is to provide farmers with an understanding of organic farming through training on making ecoenzymes. The output of this activity is that farmers are expected to gradually reduce or even no longer use inorganic fertilizers and start switching to the application of organic farming based on household waste.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of shallot farming in South Buton Regency and the impact of government policies on that competitiveness. The research sample is 73 people. Data analysis using the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) shows that shallot farming in South Buton Regency has competitiveness in terms of competitiveness. from the aspect of competitive and comparative advantage with PCR and DRCR values less than one. This is in line with the level of private and social benefits of farming which has a positive value. The impact of government policies on the output side causes the actual price of shallot production in the local market to be higher than the price in the national market. The impact of government policies on the input side causes shallot farmers in South Buton Regency to pay tradable input costs, namely inorganic fertilizers, which are higher than the social price. However, the seed subsidy policy has provided a positive surplus for the income of shallot farmers. Simultaneously, input and output policies can provide positive incentives for farmers and support the development of shallot farming in South Buton Regency Keywords: shallot; Policy Analysis Matrix; competitive advantage, comparative advantage
