Abstract

The experimental method is one method that can be applied in science learning because students are given the opportunity to be more active in observing, analyzing, drawing conclusions, and evaluating the experiments they carry out, so that learning science is not boring.This investigation employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, encompassing 10 pupils from Class IV at MI Salsabila Camp during the 2025/2026 school term. The investigation spanned two rounds, with each round including steps for strategy development, execution, monitoring, and reassessment. Tools utilized in this investigation comprise student assignment sheets, monitoring forms, written assessments, and documentation records. Data gathering techniques in this investigation involve direct monitoring, review of pupil achievement files, and documentation. Investigation outcomes suggest an advancement in pupil learning performance on the science subject related to energy and its changes following the implementation of the experimental approach. In the initial stage prior to rounds, merely 40% succeeded in reaching the minimum standard, whereas in round 1, pupils achieving minimum standard totaled 60%, and in round 2, pupils achieving minimum standard reached 90%. Drawing from this data, it can be inferred that the experimental approach effectively boosts learning performance for Class IV pupils at MI Salsabila Camp in the science course about energy and its transformations. ABSTRAK Metode eksperimen merupakan suatu metode yang dapat diaplikasikan pada pembelajaran IPA dimana siswa diberi peluang lebih aktif dalam mengobservasi, menganalisis, menarik kesimpulan, serta mengevaluasi uji coba yang dilakukannya, sehingga belajar IPA tidak membosankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mencakup 10 siswa kelas IV MI Salsabila Camp pada periode akademik 2025/2026. Penelitian berlangsung selama dua putaran, dengan masing-masing putaran mencakup langkah penyusunan rencana, eksekusi, pemantauan, dan penilaian ulang. Perangkat yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar tugas siswa, formulir pemantauan, evaluasi tertulis, dan rekaman dokumentasi. Pendekatan pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mencakup pemantauan langsung, evaluasi berkas pencapaian siswa, serta dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan adanya kemajuan dalam performa belajar siswa pada subjek IPA terkait energi dan perubahannya setelah penerapan metode eksperimen. Pada tahap awal sebelum putaran, hanya 40% yang berhasil mencapai KKM, sedangkan pada putaran 1 siswa yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 60%, dan pada putaran 2 siswa yang mencapai KKM mencapai 90%. Berdasarkan informasi ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode eksperimen secara efektif dapat meningkatkan performa belajar siswa kelas IV MI Salsabila Camp dalam mata pelajaran IPA tentang energi dan perubahannya.

Abstract

Islamic character education is crucial in facing the challenges of globalization and the changing morals of the younger generation. One way to strengthen it is through the implementation of Ta'limul Muta'allim by Sheikh Az-Zarnuji, which emphasizes etiquette, sincerity, and perseverance in learning. The purpose of this activity is to see how the values ​​​​in the Ta'limul Muta'allim book are used to improve the Islamic character education of students at MTs Progresif Bumi Shalawat Tulangan Sidoarjo. The study employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, incorporating the stages of Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Do, to focus on the potential of teachers, students, and the madrasah environment. The results of the study indicate that implementing Ta'limul Muta'allim can strengthen Islamic character education by increasing discipline, honesty, respect for teachers, and spiritual awareness. This activity also creates a religious learning atmosphere and a harmonious relationship between teachers and students. The implementation of Ta'limul Muta'allim plays an important role in strengthening Islamic character education and can be used as a relevant learning model for madrasah.   Pendidikan karakter Islami menjadi hal penting dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan perubahan moral generasi muda. Salah satu upaya untuk memperkuatnya adalah melalui penerapan Ta’limul Muta’allim karya Syekh Az-Zarnuji yang menekankan adab, keikhlasan, dan ketekunan dalam belajar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana nilai-nilai dalam kitab Ta’limul Muta’allim digunakan untuk meningkatkan pendidikan karakter Islami peserta didik di MTs Progresif Bumi Shalawat Tulangan Sidoarjo. Penelitian menggunakan metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan tahapan Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, dan Do yang berfokus pada potensi guru, peserta didik, dan lingkungan madrasah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Ta’limul Muta’allim mampu memberikan penguatan terhadap pendidikan karakter Islami melalui peningkatan kedisiplinan, kejujuran, rasa hormat kepada guru, dan kesadaran spiritual. Kegiatan ini juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang religius serta hubungan yang harmonis antara guru dan peserta didik. Penerapan Ta’limul Muta’allim berperan penting dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter Islami dan dapat dijadikan model pembelajaran yang relevan bagi madrasah.

Abstract

Microteaching learning programs are considered to be very necessary in line with developments in the times that influence the mindset of students and society which is increasingly complex and difficult to control. Therefore, prospective teachers need to familiarize themselves with teaching practices to hone good classroom communication skills and manage classroom conditions through systematic field exercises. The MPAI Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya Islamic Religious Education Master's Study Program is a higher education institution that pays attention to the importance of preparing professional prospective educators or teachers who are ready to face the challenges of the dynamic world of education. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through CAR Classroom Action Research observation research techniques or classroom action research which is directly carried out by educational practitioner teachers in the classroom to improve the learning process. The results of research using this method shows that implementing the microteaching program consistently and significantly can improve pedagogical skills, especially in the aspect of classroom management with a participatory audience and active and creative delivery of material by teachers. Thus, microteaching organized by the MPAI Unsuri study program must be maintained and developed into even better activities. It is hoped that this microteaching program will be an important focus for each element that has tasks, functions and joint contributions to maximize the goals of microteaching in all courses.

Abstract

Microteaching activities can prepare students who will become teachers to master pedagogical skills. The aim of this research is to see how students who will become teachers at Sunan Giri University Surabaya apply microteaching. It is hoped that the results of the analysis can help lecturers who are preparing students to become teachers and student teachers to anticipate standards that need to be improved. The role of microteaching in improving the teaching skills of prospective teachers is the subject of this research. Qualitative methods with literature studies were used. Data is collected by conducting relevant searches on academic platforms such as Google Scholar. The results of the analysis show that microteaching is an effective method for preparing students to teach systematically. This practice not only helps prospective educators master basic teaching skills, but also provides experience.

Abstract

Teachers use learning methods to teach students the subject matter. One of the learning methods is question and answer, which encourages students to participate directly in the learning process and show confidence when giving answers. This study aims to determine the ability of postgraduate students to teach undergraduate students about community empowerment. This study uses qualitative field research methodology as the main instrument to discuss the phenomenon of the research object. This study is very appropriate with qualitative methods because it emphasizes the very natural conditions of the research object and the researcher as the main instrument that determines the research path. The study results indicate the right strategy is needed to improve effective learning. The question-and-answer method used by postgraduate students greatly affects how effectively they learn and the interaction between the two.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi UMKM di Desa Rungkut Kidul, Surabaya, adalah rendahnya pemahaman dan pemanfaatan Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) sebagai metode pembayaran digital. Fokus kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi penggunaan QRIS bagi pelaku UMKM guna meningkatkan literasi keuangan digital dan efisiensi transaksi usaha. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan, serta kesadaran UMKM terhadap manfaat dan penggunaan QRIS dalam operasional usaha sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), dengan teknik observasi partisipatif dan sosialisasi langsung kepada pelaku UMKM. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Juni 2023 di Desa Rungkut Kidul dengan melibatkan pelaku UMKM setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran UMKM terhadap manfaat QRIS, seperti kemudahan transaksi, peningkatan efisiensi pembayaran, serta potensi peningkatan omzet penjualan. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan beberapa kendala berupa rendahnya literasi digital, keterbatasan perangkat pendukung, serta kebiasaan masyarakat yang masih bergantung pada transaksi tunai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendampingan dan edukasi lanjutan agar implementasi QRIS dapat berjalan secara optimal dan berkelanjutan bagi UMKM.   One of the challenges faced by MSMEs in Rungkut Kidul Village, Surabaya, is the low level of understanding and utilization of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a digital payment method. The focus of this community service activity is to disseminate and educate MSMEs on the use of QRIS to improve digital financial literacy and business transaction efficiency. The objective of this activity is to increase MSMEs' understanding, skills, and awareness of the benefits and use of QRIS in daily business operations. The method used in this community service activity is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, using participatory observation and direct outreach to MSMEs. The activity was conducted on June 22, 2023, in Rungkut Kidul Village, involving local MSMEs. The results showed an increase in MSMEs' understanding and awareness of the benefits of QRIS, such as ease of transactions, increased payment efficiency, and the potential for increased sales turnover. However, several obstacles remain, including low digital literacy, limited supporting devices, and a continued reliance on cash transactions. Therefore, further mentoring and education are needed to ensure optimal and sustainable implementation of QRIS for MSMEs.

Abstract

Sebagai upaya strategis, gerakan bersih bersama mahasiswa dan masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk memperbaiki kondisi fisik lingkungan sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran, rasa tanggung jawab, dan budaya kebersihan yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), yang menekankan pemberdayaan berbasis aset dengan memanfaatkan potensi komunitas yang ada. Potensi tersebut meliputi semangat gotong royong mahasiswa, fasilitas kebersihan kampus, kemampuan anggota komunitas untuk berinteraksi, serta peran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Dalam praktiknya, gerakan bersih melibatkan mahasiswa dan masyarakat secara langsung untuk membersihkan lingkungan, menata fasilitas, mengelola sampah, dan memperbaiki area yang kurang terawat agar tertata rapi dan layak digunakan. Selain menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih, kegiatan ini juga berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi lingkungan yang menumbuhkan kepedulian, rasa tanggung jawab, dan kebiasaan positif terhadap kebersihan. Interaksi yang terjalin antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat memperkuat komitmen kolektif dalam menjaga lingkungan, membangun hubungan sosial, dan menumbuhkan budaya sadar lingkungan. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah Peningkatan Kualitas Lingkungan Gerakan bersih bersama mahasiswa dan masyarakat dapat memperbaiki kondisi fisik lingkungan kampus, seperti mengurangi sampah, menata fasilitas, dan memperbaiki area yang kurang terawat. Melalui kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan menumbuhnya kesadaran, rasa tanggung jawab, dan budaya kebersihan yang berkelanjutan di kalangan mahasiswa dan masyarakat. Partisipasi aktif gerakan bersih diharapkan dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif seluruh elemen kampus dalam menjaga lingkungan dan memperbaiki kualitas lingkungan. Edukasi Lingkungan Kegiatan ini dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi lingkungan yang menumbuhkan kepedulian dan kebiasaan positif terhadap kebersihan. Membangun Hubungan Sosial Interaksi yang terjalin antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat dapat memperkuat komitmen kolektif dalam menjaga lingkungan dan membangun hubungan sosial.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness is an important aspect in creating a healthy, safe, and comfortable community life. Cleanliness problems in Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, arise due to low environmental awareness, minimal sanitation facilities, and community behavior patterns formed by social and cultural factors. The purpose of this activity is to analyze and find participatory solutions to community cleanliness problems through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach emphasizes active community involvement in the process of problem identification, action planning, activity implementation, and continuous reflection of results. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, group discussions, and activity documentation. The results of the activity show that community participation in community service activities, community discussions, and the preparation of cleanliness programs resulted in increased environmental awareness, increased social solidarity, and the formation of a collective commitment to maintaining cleanliness. The provision of additional facilities such as waste bin arrangement, improved waste management systems, and the involvement of community leaders have a positive impact on the sustainability of the program. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the implementation of PAR is effective in building a culture of clean living because the community acts as both the subject and the primary partner in change. Active citizen involvement has been proven to strengthen environmentally conscious behavior and create sustainable cleanliness solutions.

Abstract

The environmental cleanliness program around the campus is an important effort to maintain the comfort and beauty of the environment for the entire local community. This activity aims to encourage the community to work together in cleaning the surrounding environment. The program is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, a collaborative model that places the community as active participants in every stage of the activity, starting from identifying problems, designing plans, implementing programs, to conducting evaluations. The cleanliness program carried out in success serves as concrete evidence that collaboration between the community and various campus stakeholders can produce significant outcomes in maintaining environmental cleanliness and comfort. The existence of this environmental cleanliness initiative has also increased public awareness and concern for protecting their environment. Furthermore, the program contributes to creating a healthy and comfortable environment for all local residents. The desired positive changes can be achieved as expected, and the spirit of cooperation will continue to grow and become a habit that brings long-term benefits for the health and comfort of the surrounding community.

Abstract

The problem of waste in the student environment is still a major issue due to low awareness and inconsistent waste management behavior. Students have a strategic role in building a clean campus environment through active and collaborative participation. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to increase student awareness and participation in environmental management with an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The activity was held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the East Java Provincial Environment Agency (DLH) and the area around the Afvoer Kemamang waterway, Surabaya. The stages of activities include discovery, dream, design, define, and delivery to design and implement structured and sustainable environmental programs. The results of the activities show an increase in student awareness and involvement in environmental cleanup actions, social media-based waste management education, and the formation of environmental care groups at the faculty level. Students began to implement environmentally friendly behavior consistently. These findings confirm that strengthening asset-based social participation is effective in forming a culture of environmental care in the campus environment.
