Abstract

The tendency of Islam is very thick in the Integrated Islamic Kindergarten (TKIT) and Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) circles. However, several schools focusing on increasing religious performance and management still need to fully interpret the role of organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB). The study concentrates on the role of OCB as a mediator in influencing spiritual motivation and spiritual leadership on religious performance in one of the kindergarten and primary schools from West Kalimantan. Quantitative methods, where in-depth exploration through surveys applies, support us, teachers and teaching staff. Resource persons were determined by a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique totalling 409 participants. We chose path analysis to interpret the data, so there are five essential points. The findings in the first model show that spiritual motivation and leadership have a significant effect on OCB. In the second model, spiritual motivation and OCB also significantly affect religious performance, whereas spiritual leadership does not. The implications of the output analysis indicate that the more spiritual motivation and spiritual leadership increase, the more it encourages OCB. Too, the more spiritual motivation and OCB increase, it also stimulates religious performance in the long term.

Abstract

The rapid growth of influencer marketing in Indonesia, particularly through social media platforms, has heightened the importance of influencer authenticity in shaping audience perceptions and decision-making. However, empirical studies examining the effectiveness of influencers who promote their own brands remain limited. This study aims to analyze the influence of credibility, parasocial interaction, and informative value on stakeholders’ decision intention, with trust serving as a mediating variable, within the context of educational brand management. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 217 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3. The findings reveal that parasocial interaction has a positive and significant direct effect on decision intention, while credibility, parasocial interaction, and informative value significantly influence trust. In contrast, credibility and informative value do not show a significant direct effect on decision intention. Furthermore, trust is found to significantly mediate the relationships between credibility, parasocial interaction, and informative value and stakeholders’ decision intention. These results imply that effective educational brand management in the digital era should prioritize trust-building strategies by enhancing authentic communication, meaningful engagement, and the quality of information delivered to stakeholders in order to strengthen decision-making outcomes.

Abstract

The fast-paced work environment and project-related pressures in the creative agency sector may increase the risk of burnout among Generation Z employees. This study aimed to examine the effects of work-life balance (WLB) and workload on burnout, with work stress as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of 200 Generation Z employees working in creative agencies in Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicated that WLB had a negative and significant effect on work stress (β = -0.575; p < 0.001), whereas workload had a positive and significant effect on work stress (β = 0.502; p < 0.001). Workload and work stress also had positive and significant effects on burnout (β = 0.312; p < 0.01; β = 0.489; p < 0.001), while WLB did not have a significant direct effect on burnout (β = -0.124; p > 0.137). In addition, work stress mediated the relationships between WLB, workload, and burnout. These findings suggest that burnout among Generation Z employees in creative agencies is primarily shaped by work stress arising from excessive job demands, highlighting the importance of managing workload and promoting work-life balance to reduce burnout risk.

Abstract

Fungal protein, derived from microbial biomass, offers a sustainable protein source and can be produced through fermentation. However, the utilization of tofu whey, an abundant agro-industrial by-product in Indonesia, as a substrate for fungal protein remains underexplored. This study optimizing both agitation speed and aeration rate for Aspergillus oryzae fermentation in a stirred-tank bioreactor. Fermentation was conducted in a 5 L stirred-tank bioreactor with a 3 L working volume for 48 hours at an initial pH of 5 and a temperature of 35℃. Agitation speeds of 150, 200, 250, and 300 rpm were tested at a constant aeration rate of 1.0 vvm to determine the optimum mixing condition. The agitation speed that yielded the highest dry cell weight was then used as the basis for further aeration experiments (0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 vvm). The optimum conditions were obtained at 150 rpm and 1.0 vvm, resulting in a dry cell weight of 7.1 g/L and a protein content of 6.83% (w/w). These findings demonstrate the potential of valorizing tofu whey into fungal protein while highlighting the need for further multi-parameter optimization to enhance protein levels toward single-cell protein standards.

Abstract

Cadmium (Cd) is a heavy metal with high toxicity that can enter the body through contaminated food chains, so wastewater containing cadmium needs to be treated before being discharged into the environment. This study uses adsorption methods to reduce Cd(II) concentration in artificial wastewater by utilizing modified sengon wood sawdust cellulose as a bioadsorbent. Adsorption tests were conducted in batch mode at room temperature with constant stirring, and the results were analyzed using AAS. The objective of this study was to determine the optimum adsorption conditions using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and to determine the adsorption capacity of the modified bioadsorbent based on the Freundlich or Langmuir adsorption isotherm models. The variations in bioadsorbent dose in this study were 2, 4, and 6 g/L; adsorption time variations were 30, 60, and 90 minutes; pH variations were 3, 4, and 5. Based on the design expert 13 RSM software, the optimum adsorption conditions for citric acid-modified bioadsorbent are a bioadsorbent dose of 3.957 g/L, time of 31.655 minutes, and pH of 4.968. For the EDTA-modified bioadsorbent, the optimum conditions were a bioadsorbent dose of 3.836 g/L, time of 30 minutes, and pH of 4.708. The results of the adsorption isotherm modeling indicate that the citric acid-modified and EDTA-modified bioadsorbents are more suitable for the Freundlich isotherm model due to their higher determination coefficient (R²). Thus, the adsorption capacities for the citric acid-modified and EDTA-modified bioadsorbents were determined to be 1.7828 mg/g and 1.5776 mg/g, respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cashless payment and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) on impulsive buying behavior and to examine the moderating role of self-control in the consumption of fast fashion products among Generation Z. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to university student respondents. The collected data were analyzed using statistical techniques to examine the relationships among variables and test the moderating effects. The findings reveal that both cashless payment and FoMO have a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying behavior. FoMO emerged as the most dominant factor influencing impulsive purchases, indicating that social pressure and the desire to follow trends have a stronger impact than technological convenience. Furthermore, self-control was unable to moderate the relationship between cashless payment and impulsive buying, but it significantly strengthened the relationship between FoMO and impulsive buying. These findings imply that social and psychological factors play a crucial role in shaping Generation Z’s consumer behavior in the fast fashion industry.
