Writing scientific papers is inseparable from the life of academic source. Scientific writing is not only an obligation and an interest at the college level but also at the school level. The problem that exists when the team did an observation at school, the lack of an atmosphere of writing scientific papers for both teachers and students made the level production of scientific papers in schools very low. Students were preoccupied with theoretical learning and the target of pursuing the test scores as well as the teacher was spent time fulfilling all the learning outcomes in class. Important things that could be used by teachers and students to excel in the field of scientific writing are eliminated. On the other hand, awareness and understanding of plagiarism problems such as the method of citing or writing references was still low. Those were also driven by a lack of writing atmosphere at the school level and a lack of understanding of plagiarism itself. With the various obstacles and phenomena found, the school's target community service team collaborated with multi-disciplinary lecturers by involving students to find solutions to these problems. This activity was carried out at SMK Pertiwi Batam by involving students and teachers. The results of this dedication showed the high enthusiasm of teachers and students as well as the ability to write scientific papers and awareness to prevent plagiarism. This services was held for 6 meetings from January to April 2021. This activity was attended by 30 participants who were held online with media zoom. Each meeting is held for 1.5 hours. The implementation of these services began with the provision of knowledge about scientific papers, methods, techniques, and materials related to classroom action research. Service is also given the legal approach regarding plagiarism.

The story of Robohnya Surau Kami by A. A. Navis is an indirectly provocative work of fiction which arouse eastern society, represented in the life of Minangkabau people at that time, to realize their helplessness in order to take the initiative and express their silenced voices. This short story directs people to carry out a reformist movement in their constraints to the traditions they have lived for centuries because of colonialism. This short story was made in the 1990s where many Minangkabau Ulemas tended to focus more on education and intellectual activity rather than physical resistance. Orientalist discourse manifests itself as an influential system of ideas or as a network of various intellectual interests and meanings that are implied in various contextual, social, political, and constitutional of colonial hegemony. As alluded above, surau becomes a symbol of the institutions used by the colonial to facilitate the process of inculcating ideology and religion as the means of control in society. The result of this research represented that the construction of postcolonial discourse in the story Robohnya Surau Kami by AA. Navis reflected into the concept of demonization, dehumanization, western hegemonic. Paradigms that places eastern culture as old-fashioned, backward and stupidity are a construction to build demonization in the story. Thus, through the character of Ajo Sidi as an agent, the eastern people represented by the grandfathers are alienated, instigated, and subsequently experience a divided identity called by dehumanization. This demonization and dehumanization continued to be created and maintained by instilling hegemonic doctrines even without violence.

Literary works often include the theme of death as part of the story. But it is seldom realized that the theme of death gave a very significant role to the storyline. It is undeniable that the author deliberately put the theme of death as the core issue to convey something behind the story. This article discussed the sociological study of literature related to the representation of death in contemporary literary works. A teen lit novel by John Green entitled Looking for Alaska is the source of the data in this article. This article limits the research by referring toward two problem formulations; first, how the representation of death can be expressed in the novel. Second, how the theme of death in the novel is related to the social phenomenon of American society, in this case related to the modern society view towards death. The researcher used Hagin's theory regarding the significance of death in literary works. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicated that the theme of death has a significant role in the story where the death is present in the middle of the story or it is categorized as an intermediate of death (in Hagin concept). Death becomes meaningful in relation to the present, events that are still happening and have not been completed. Using Hagin's perspective, the role of death in Looking for Alaska is categorized into three; the manner of establishing the goal, obstacles, and the forming of death. Meanwhile, the relationship between death and the perspective of modern society is explored using Aries concept in the term Forbiden of Death. Death is considered a thing to be feared, so everyone tries to deny, reject, and stay away from death. Death is visualization for everyone who is haunted by emptiness, an emptiness that blinds vision and creates the fear.

But more than it, children literature also displayed something that was unrealistic but could be accepted by the child as something that was reasonable and acceptance in a film. It was due to the intelligence of the producers in determining the direction of production so that the people really feel satisfied. In this study, researchers found that although plot in popular works was presented with various kinds of innovations and creativity of producers, there were formulas that became conventions so that children's literature could be accepted as reasonableness so as to obscure the boundaries of reality and reality in literary works.
