Abstract

The reform of government bureaucracy in the realm of Human Resources pertains to the management of the State Civil Apparatus in accordance with their respective competencies. Talent management is a comprehensive human resource management framework that encompasses the processes of employee acquisition, development, retention, and placement. This approach is designed to prioritise those with the greatest potential and highest levels of performance through the utilisation of evaluation techniques. This statement provides justification for the adoption of merit-based systems at both institutional and national levels. The primary objective of this study is to examine the most effective practises in talent management that may be employed to facilitate the career advancement of government officials in Indonesia. The present study employs a qualitative methodology, specifically utilising descriptive techniques. The findings indicate that talent management plays a crucial role in the career development of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), employing a comprehensive methodology that encompasses a well-coordinated sequence of phases. From the identification of talent to the capture of information, each stage assumes a pivotal role in establishing an environment conducive to the development and optimal utilisation of gifted persons. By effectively incorporating talent, ensuring appropriate placement, conducting thorough assessments and providing appropriate rewards, implementing retention and succession planning, and facilitating knowledge capture, ASN may enhance its organisational development, promote progress, and deliver high-quality public services. By implementing this strategy, organisations not only acknowledge and utilise the capabilities of individuals, but also establish a strong basis for enduring sustainability, innovation, and achievement.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of organisational culture and organisational commitment on employee performance within the context of PT Agri First Indonesia. The importance of organisational culture and organisational commitment on employee performance in a business setting has been widely recognised. The research methodology employed in this study adopts a quantitative approach, utilising data gathering techniques in the form of questionnaires issued to staff working in the Human Resource Development (HRD) department at PT Agri First Indonesia. The data that has been gathered will be subjected to regression analysis methods in order to assess the correlation between organisational culture, organisational commitment, and employee performance. The findings indicated that the organisational culture had a partially positive and statistically significant impact on the performance of employees within the HRD department at PT Agri First Indonesia. Additionally, it was observed that organisational commitment also had a partially positive and statistically significant influence on employee performance within the same department at PT Agri First Indonesia. The performance of employees at PT Agri First Indonesia is influenced by both organisational culture and organisational commitment concurrently. The research findings have practical applications that might aid firm management in identifying areas for change to enhance employee performance and overall organisational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of elementary school teachers in the post-COVID-19 pandemic mediated by teacher engagement and moderated by job characteristics. A total of 285 valid questionnaires, were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS3 software. The results showed that teacher engagement mediates the effects of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation on organizational citizenship behavior. Job characteristics moderate the effect of intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy on teacher engagement, where moderation in the relationship between intrinsic motivation and teacher engagement is positive, and the moderating role in the relationship between self-efficacy and teacher engagement is negative. This shows that the school must be able to encourage teachers to demonstrate OCB in the school environment, so that teachers are willing to help their students and colleagues deal with learning in the post-pandemic period, in addition to jobs that offer a high degree of autonomy, task variety, task significance, and feedback.
