Abstract

This study aimed to look at the factors influencing both traditional and Islamic equities fund performance while analyzing stock fund performance. The population of the study consisted of 300 conventional and sharia mutual funds registered with and disclosed by the Financial Services Authority for the years 2014 to 2018. Additionally, 100 people were selected as the research sample by the purposive technique. Data analysis employed both descriptive and inferential statistics, including multiple regressions, conventional assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that the performance of conventional stock mutual funds is significantly influenced by conventional stocks, stock selection, market timing, and fund size.Cash flow and fund longevity, however, made no appreciable difference. In contrast, the size and durability of the fund have a significant impact on the performance of sharia mutual funds in the stock market. Meanwhile, there is no noticeable impact from market timing or fund cash flow. This research has several limitations because it was only conducted on the Indonesian capital market and did not account for any potential strengthening or weakening variables. Future research should concentrate on these elements.

Abstract

This research analyses the impact of capital structure on profitability, considering liquidity as a moderating variable. Furthermore, it is focused on transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2020. A causalcomparative research method is employed, with hypothesis testing is conducted for a moderating regression. To ensure the accuracy of the findings, a purposive sampling technique is utilised, resulting in 198 firm-year observations which represented by 22 listed firms. The study's findings indicate that capital structure has no bearing on profitability. The analysis's findings indicate that the liquidity ratio, which acts as a moderating variable, significantly affect for the relationship between capital structure and profitability. The capital structure further strengthens the increase in profitability if it is supported by the company's liquid current assets.

Abstract

This study examines the moderated mediation effects between capital structure and company value using asset utilization as the moderating variable and financial stress as the mediating variable. The study uses the Hayes PROCESS macro model 14 with SPSS Statistics 27 version, and it uses a sample size of 40 observations from 8 enterprises listed in the Software and IT Services subsector on IDX between 2019 and 2023. The capital structure has a direct beneficial impact on firm value. There is no mediation of the link between leverage and firm value by asset utilization. The link between asset usage and business value can be moderated by financial distress, but the indirect impact of leverage on firm value through asset use is not much mitigated by financial distress. These results emphasize the dependent impacts of financial crisis on operational efficiency and business valuation while showing the complex function of leverage in boosting corporate value. They also partially align with the trade-off theory and pecking order theory.

Abstract

Over the past six years, global economic volatility shaped by geopolitical complexities has significantly impacted the coal sector, marked by fluctuating prices influenced by events such as the Ukraine crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. This study focuses on Indonesian coal companies, examining the relationship between capital structure (DER), firm performance (ROA), and firm value (PBV). Through empirical analysis of 15 listed companies from 2018 to 2023, utilizing Hayes' Process Macro Model 4, the research finds that higher Debt to Equity Ratios (DER) negatively affect Return on Assets (ROA), indicating reduced efficiency in asset utilization. However, DER positively correlates with Price to Book Value (PBV), implying investor optimism regarding future earnings and asset worth. The study underscores the nuanced interplay between financial metrics in shaping corporate value within Indonesia's coal sector, offering insights for strategic financial management amid market uncertainties.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how dividend policy affects the way that profitability and firm value are related. The study focuses on companies in the oil and gas subsector that are listed between 2018 and 2023 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Seven companies were selected as a sample using purposive sampling. Descriptive statistics, Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), and hypothesis testing are used in the analysis. The results imply that company value is not much impacted by profitability alone. On the other hand, when dividends are paid out, the dividend policy serves as a direct moderator, strengthening the positive relationship between profitability and company value. This is in line with the signaling hypothesis, which holds that dividend payments tell investors about the company's financial health and prospects for the future. However, the findings are not broadly applicable as the study is confined to the oil and gas subsector and uses only one proxy for each variable. Future research should broaden the scope to multiple subsectors and incorporate several proxies for each variable.

Abstract

The pharmacy was built to provide health services for the community, especially when purchasing medicines from a doctor's prescription. In Pharmacy Service Standards, pharmacies must always provide suitable facilities, infrastructure, service quality, and competent pharmaceutical staff. Biophilic design is one of the interior design approaches that can be applied to these requirements. Biophilic can escalate user productivity and reduce stress levels. The research method used was analyzing events directly (observation), interviews, and documentation. In general, the interior arrangement of a pharmacy consists of an entrance, a drug display case, a cashier, and a drug dispensing area. The responsible pharmacist's area is mostly hidden on the room side, so it is not easily accessible to consumers. Storefront tables usually used to display medicines were arranged to separate the consumer area from the inside of the pharmacy. Patients can only ask questions briefly, see medicines and pay directly at the display counter. In the interior design field, designing a medical area is similar to the healing activity of a patient. Previous studies have shown that the comfort factor in the room is sufficient to affect the health of patients at the pharmacy. Some supporting factors are applications of bright interior elements, green leaves, and brown color

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a significant malnutrition problem in Indonesia, and community health cadres play a vital role in addressing it through programs like Care for Child Development (CCD) training. This study aimed to delineate the knowledge and self-efficacy of cadres who participated in CCD training in Yogyakarta in 2018, comparing their status in 2022.  Methods: In October 2022, a quantitative cross-sectional approach was utilized to examine the knowledge and self-efficacy of 56 cadres who had undergone CCD training in 2018, organized by the same authors and documented in a prior publication, with participants selected through total sampling. Three instruments were utilized, including a participant demographic survey, the CKCDI, and the GSES. The paired t-test was employed to analyzed the data.  Results: The study's results reveal a significant difference (p=0.002) in the mean knowledge scores of cadres following their participation in the Care For Child Development (CCD) training program in 2018 and four years later. The mean score was 13.39 in 2018, decreased to 11.9 in 2022. Likewise, the self-efficacy component among cadres exhibited a reduction, with mean scores of 30.93 in 2018 and 29.4 in 2022. However, it is important to note that there is no statistically significant difference in self-efficacy (p=0.106). The decline in average knowledge scores over the four-year period may be attributed to potential knowledge decay.  Conclusion: This study underscores the significance of sustained training and support for community health workers, emphasizing the need for flexible approaches to maintain their knowledge and self-efficacy over time.
