Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of mealworm frass and molasses on the proximate value ofwhite oyster mushrooms. This type of research was an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD)consisting of four treatments with three replications each. Test parameters include water content, ash content, crudeprotein, crude fat and crude fiber. Proximate data on water content, ash content, crude protein, crude fat and crudefiber were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's follow-up test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that treatment with frass and frass molasses had an effect on water content, ash content, crudeprotein, crude fat, and a decrease in fiber content. Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of mealwormfrass and molasses affects the proximate value of the resulting oyster mushrooms.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of super item learning model on biology learning outcomes of high school students. This type of research is a pseudo experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population included all students of class XI SMAN 1 Gowa, the research sample consisted of class XI MIPA 4 as an experimental class with 36 students and class XI MIPA 5 as a control class with 36 students, selected using random sampling technique. The instrument used was multiple choice test. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with ANCOVA test. The results showed that the value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class experienced a significant increase with very good, good, and sufficient categories, but generally in the good category. This shows the effect of the super item learning model on the biology learning outcomes of high school students.Key words: learning outcomes, super items

Abstract

Abstract. The study aims to determine the effect of the active strategy type Questions Student Have on critical thinking skills. The type of research consists of a quasi-experiment. The research design consists of a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of all students in grade X of SMA Negeri 22 Makassar consists of 5 classes with a total of 180 students. The sample selection was carried out randomly so that class X.2 (experimental) and class X.5 (control) were selected. Data analysis techniques consist of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the critical thinking test score of 49.61 are in the less category while the learning outcomes score of 79.31 are in the very high category. The results of the normality test of the sig. data value> 0.05, so that the data on students' critical thinking skills are normally distributed. The results of the homogeneity test of the sig value Based On Mean> 0.05 so that it is declared homogeneous. The results of the hypothesis test of the Sig value 0.001 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted so that there is an effect of the Questions Student Have type strategy on critical thinking skills. The conclusion is that the active strategy type Questions Student Have can encourage students to be more active in participating in the learning process.Key words: Type of Questions Students have, critical thinking, quantitative research, descriptive analysis, inferential analysis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves and their effect on the cholesterol levels of male mice (Mus musculus). To determine the total phenolic content using the Folin-Ciocalteu method and the DPPH method to measure antioxidant activity. The effect of matoa leaf extract on reducing cholesterol levels in mice used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 15 mice divided into 5 treatment groups with 3 replications, namely P1 (Extract 175 mg/kgBW), P2 (Extract 350 mg/kgBW), P3 (Extract 700 mg/kgBW), K+ (Simvastatin 0.10 mg/kgBW), and K- (Na-CMC 1%). Extraction uses the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. The total phenolic test results were 26.24872 mgGAE/g. The results of measuring antioxidant activity obtained an IC50 of 1,961 ppm. The results of testing cholesterol levels showed that there was an effect of giving ethanol extract of Matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves on reducing cholesterol levels in male mice (Mus musculus). Giving ethanol extract of Matoa leaves at a dose of 350 mg/kgBW is effective in reducing cholesterol levels. So it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Matoa leaves has an effect on reducing cholesterol levels in male mice.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the incidence of genital warts continues to increase and is the third largest disease of sexually transmitted infections. The possibility of being infected through sexual intercourse with a partner infected with HPV, either in subclinical form, is 75%. Genital HPV infection generally affects moist mucosa. Microscopic abrasion and repeated trauma can increase infectivity and replication of the virus. The incubation period of HPV is between 8 weeks to 9 months. With these concerns, there is a need for socialization or counseling regarding genital warts, education and prevention, especially in the work environment. This community service was carried out in the UNM Parangtambung Campus Work environment which aims to provide an understanding or education about the dangers of genital warts to reproductive health. The delivery of material in this training was carried out in a classical manner, all participants followed the material presented through lectures, discussions and questions and answers. This activity was attended by the cleaning service on duty at the UNM Parangtambung Campus Work Environment. The results of this community service were responded to well by the participants, the high interest and motivation of the training participants greatly supported the transfer of knowledge and skills from the resource person to the training participants. Keywords: genital warts, education, prevention, cleaning service.

Abstract

This service activity is to improve the ability of partners and be able to develop and add expertise to the community, develop community knowledge about the utilization of palmyra waste so that it has use value for the environment, be able to increase income and reduce fertilizer purchases for agriculture and to develop an attitude of cooperation with others. Utilization of Palmyra waste into liquid organic fertilizer to reduce environmental pollution. The long-term benefits of using liquid fertilizer can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. Liquid fertilizer is easy to make and the technology is simple. Lontar (Borassus flabellifer) is one of the typical plants in Jeneponto Regency which has many benefits, one of which is that it can be used as organic fertilizer. This service was carried out on farmer groups in Punagaya village, Bangkala sub-district, Jeneponto district, South Sulawesi, totaling 17 people. The results of this training activity showed that all training participants were very enthusiastic and eager to pay attention and listen to the material about the use of palm waste as organic fertilizer and how to make it delivered by the resource team. Based on the results and discussion of the implementation of activities, it can be concluded that several things including partners in this case the farmer group is able to make organic fertilizer from palm waste, and a partner group is formed that is economically and socially independent through this activity.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to determine the effect of synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content of Dunaliella sp. on a laboratory scale. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 3 replications each to obtain 15 treatment combinations. The research method consisted of several stages, namely preparation of tools and materials consisting of making culture media, making walne medium and making treatment medium, sterilizing tools and medium, preparing Dunaliella sp inoculum. on Walne medium with a static system, as well as optimizing the growth of Dunaliella sp.. The parameters observed in this study were phytoplankton biomass (dry weight), total chlorophyll content, salinity, pH, temperature, and light intensity. Based on the research results, the highest average biomass was found in the P3 treatment, namely the Walne medium treatment with the addition of 105 ppm urea, 80 ppm TSP, and 80 ppm ZA which produced an average of 5.23 g/L. Furthermore, the highest average results for measuring chlorophyll content were found in treatment P4 with walne medium treatment which added 115 ppm urea, 75 ppm TSP and 75 ppm ZA which produced an average of 1.81 µg/mL. So it can be concluded that the synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA have an effect on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content on the growth of Dunaliella sp.
