Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to determine the effect of synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content of Dunaliella sp. on a laboratory scale. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 3 replications each to obtain 15 treatment combinations. The research method consisted of several stages, namely preparation of tools and materials consisting of making culture media, making walne medium and making treatment medium, sterilizing tools and medium, preparing Dunaliella sp inoculum. on Walne medium with a static system, as well as optimizing the growth of Dunaliella sp.. The parameters observed in this study were phytoplankton biomass (dry weight), total chlorophyll content, salinity, pH, temperature, and light intensity. Based on the research results, the highest average biomass was found in the P3 treatment, namely the Walne medium treatment with the addition of 105 ppm urea, 80 ppm TSP, and 80 ppm ZA which produced an average of 5.23 g/L. Furthermore, the highest average results for measuring chlorophyll content were found in treatment P4 with walne medium treatment which added 115 ppm urea, 75 ppm TSP and 75 ppm ZA which produced an average of 1.81 µg/mL. So it can be concluded that the synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA have an effect on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content on the growth of Dunaliella sp.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract from Matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves as well as its effect on blood sugar levels in male mice (Mus musculus) induced with alloxan. To determine total phenolic content using the Folin-Ciocalteu method, and the DPPH method to measure antioxidant activity. The effect of Matoa leaves on blood sugar reduction in mice used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 15 mice divided into 5 treatments with 3 replications: namely P1 (Extract 125 mg/kg BW), P2 (Extract 250 mg/kg BW), P3 (Extract 500 mg/kg BW), K+ (Glibenclamide), and K- (Na-CMC 0.5%). Extraction used the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. The results of the total phenolic test showed the presence of phenolics with a value of 26.24872 mg GAE/g. The measurement of antioxidant activity yielded an IC50 value of 1.961 ppm. The results of testing the blood sugar levels showed that there was an effect of giving ethanol extract of Matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves on reducing blood sugar levels in male mice (Mus musculus). Giving of ethanol extract of Matoa leaves at a dose of 250 mg/kg BW is effective in reducing blood sugar levels. So it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Matoa leaves has an effect on reducing blood sugar levels in male mice

Abstract

This research aims to determine the total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves and their effect on the cholesterol levels of male mice (Mus musculus). To determine the total phenolic content using the Folin-Ciocalteu method and the DPPH method to measure antioxidant activity. The effect of matoa leaf extract on reducing cholesterol levels in mice used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 15 mice divided into 5 treatment groups with 3 replications, namely P1 (Extract 175 mg/kgBW), P2 (Extract 350 mg/kgBW), P3 (Extract 700 mg/kgBW), K+ (Simvastatin 0.10 mg/kgBW), and K- (Na-CMC 1%). Extraction uses the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. The total phenolic test results were 26.24872 mgGAE/g. The results of measuring antioxidant activity obtained an IC50 of 1,961 ppm. The results of testing cholesterol levels showed that there was an effect of giving ethanol extract of Matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves on reducing cholesterol levels in male mice (Mus musculus). Giving ethanol extract of Matoa leaves at a dose of 350 mg/kgBW is effective in reducing cholesterol levels. So it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Matoa leaves has an effect on reducing cholesterol levels in male mice.

Abstract

Abstract To increase reading fluency in the Koran, a mentoring program was established to use the Yanbu'a method. The capacity of students to read the Qur'an has increased as a result of this support. This is because classes are grouped based on the skills of the students, and more santri who are completing community service projects are becoming teachers, which helps to create more organized and productive classroom environments. The first deterrent is that the Islamic boarding school (pesantren) does not require applicants to take a Qur'anic reading test before accepting them. Second, the activity schedule at the Al-Hidayah Islamic boarding school is very busy, which results in a lack of routine tadarus activities as a means for students to deepen and facilitate their reading of the Al-Qur'an. Keywords: Yanbu'a method, reading al-Qur’an fluency   Abstrak Program pendampingan penerapan metode Yanbu’a dilaksanakan dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan kefasihan membaca al-Qur’an. Kata Kunci: metode Yanbu’a, kefasihan membaca al-Qur’an

Abstract

The inventory of medicinal plants involves the recording and registering of medicinal plant species. This research aims to identify the species of medicinal plants found in Jompie Botanical Garden, Parepare City, and to understand how the local community utilizes these plants. The methodology employed is exploratory and descriptive. The study was conducted from January to February 2024 at Jompie Botanical Garden, Parepare City. The subjects of this research are the plant species used by the local community for medicinal purposes and the methods of utilizing these plants. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by compiling the identified plant characteristics, medicinal properties, and utilization methods into tables and photographs, followed by descriptive explanations. The research findings indicate that 40 plant species are used by the local community in Jompie Botanical Garden for medicinal purposes. The plant parts utilized include roots, stems, leaves, fruits, and flowers, with leaves being the most commonly used. The plants are processed into medicine through various methods, such as boiling, grinding, grating, squeezing, cutting, and chewing, with boiling being the most common technique.
