Abstract

Keterampilan belajar yang rendah akan mengakibatkan hasil belajar yang rendah pula, salahsatu cara meningkatkan terampilan belajar tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan layanan penguasaan konten. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan desain one group pre test and post test design. sampel penelitian adalah seluruh jumlah mahasiswa Layanan BK I kelas Palembang yang dibina peneliti sebanyak 31 mahasiswa. Instrument keterampilan belajar menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert. Analisis data dalam studi ini menggunakan analisis statistic uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Terdapat peningkatanketerampilan belajar mahasiswa melalui layanan penguasaan konten pada perkuliahan Layanan BK I didapat nilai thutng (8,61) > ttabel (1,70) dengan α=0,05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the VII grade students’ prosocial behavior of Junior High Boarding School based on genders. The study used a quantitative approach with survey methods. Data measurement tool was a questionnaire in the form of a scale based on indicators of prosocial behavior. The participant were 34 seventh grade students of Junior High Boarding School Academic Year 2017/2018 consisting of 17 boys and 17 girls. The result showed in general prosocial behavior of students in the high category, meaning that students were able to display and show prosocial behavior. Prosocial behavior of male students and female stucents show thatthere were significant differences between female students and male students.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to examine objects directly using descriptive questions on interview participants and without the use of numerical instruments. The purpose of this research is to find out the experience of parsipan after conducting intelligence tests on increasing motivation in learning. Data obtained through interviews with four female students of the Guidance and Counseling study program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The results of this study state that when doing the test tends to feel tired, anxious and there is pressure or pressure in doing the test and it is hoped that when going to take the test participants can better maintain expectations on the results that will be obtainedh.

Abstract

Academic stress is a problem that arises when individuals experience learning pressure caused by academic demands. This academic stress condition is often experienced by students who have high academic demands, both from educational institutions and the surrounding environment. This research aims to measure the extent of academic stress experienced by students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University class of 2022. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students experiencing academic stress. This research sampling involved 90 respondents from 14 different study programs. Based on the results of this research, it was found that the majority of respondents experienced moderate academic stress with a percentage of 68.9%, the remaining 17.8% experienced high levels of academic stress, and 13.3% experienced low levels of academic stress.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the socio-cultural adaptability of new students in South Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. There is a lot of research on the socio-cultural adaptability of new students, but for South Sumatra it is still very limited. The instrument used by the researcher was an adaptation questionnaire consisting of 37 items. The results showed that 149 students described in general social adaptation ability in the college environment: (5%) students have social adaptation ability is at a high level, (85%) students have social adaptation ability is at a moderate level, and (9%) students have social adaptation ability is at a low level. These results illustrate the importance of overseas students developing adaptability, this new thing can increase their knowledge to get to know the social and cultural environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning interest on student learning outcomes at the elementary and high school levels through a systematic literature review. The research method uses a literature study by analyzing 20 journal articles published in the last 5 years. The results show that interest in learning has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes in various subjects, with the level of influence varying from 11.6% to 85.74%. The determinants of interest in learning include internal (motivation, aspirations) and external aspects (teaching methods, parental support, school environment). The findings recommend an interest-based learning approach to improve education quality.

Abstract

The use of social media is very difficult to separate its use in individuals including students. Not only adults but, students have also begun to use social media as an additional medium in making it easier for them to find learning resources through social media. However, not only the positive impact offered by social media, the negative impact of social media is also offered to social media lovers. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of social media use on student academic achievement. This research uses a literature study method or relevant data such as journals related to the influence of social media on student academic achievement. The results of this study are, the use of social media on each student has a positive impact and a negative impact depending on how students continue to use social media. Parents and teachers also play an important role in guiding and also supervising students in the use of social media, so that students can benefit from using social media. if not directed and supervised, the negative impact will be obtained by students.

Abstract

One of the essential elements in a student's life is career planning. Students must prepare themselves to compete and adapt to market demands in an era filled with global competition and rapid changes in the world of work. Good career planning helps students identify their interests, talents, and long-term goals. This research was conducted by deeply exploring the experiences, views, and perceptions of individuals regarding their careers. In this study, a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach was used. Data was collected from interviews with three Mechanical Engineering Education students at Sriwijaya University. The results of this study indicate that all three valued internship experiences and higher education in helping them prepare for their careers. They have different challenges and strategies in facing academic demands, but they all emphasize the importance of enthusiasm, effort, and time management.

Abstract

Assessment of interests and talents plays a crucial role in individual career planning, especially at the high school (SMA) level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interest and talent assessments in enhancing students' self-understanding, facilitating appropriate career decision-making, and increasing learning motivation. The research method used is a systematic literature study by searching various scientific journal databases, such as Google Scholar, using keywords relevant to interest and talent assessment, career planning, and high school students. The selected articles were analyzed in-depth to identify the benefits of interest and talent assessment, effective implementation strategies, and potential challenges. The results of the research indicate that interest and talent assessments can increase learning motivation, involvement in extracurricular activities, and awareness of career opportunities. The application of this assessment also assists Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in providing more effective and targeted services. However, the implementation of this assessment also faces challenges such as limited resources, lack of student understanding regarding the benefits of assessment, as well as the validity and reliability of the assessment instruments used.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with people's backgrounds from various cultures, races, ethnicities, and beliefs. Cultural heritage by the community is applied to everyday life both in interacting with other people and in carrying out daily activities such as cultural rituals and beliefs which are the basis and guidelines for life that cannot be separated from individual development. Counseling teachers/counselors who work in communities with diverse cultures should have multicultural counseling competencies in terms of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. One of them is multicultural awareness to provide guidance and counseling services that are by the counselee's needs. The purpose of this research is to get a picture of the multicultural awareness of Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University. Respondents in this study amounted to 315 students. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method that analyzes the level of multicultural awareness and comparative techniques to compare between male and female students. The results showed that students had a moderate level of multicultural awareness, students very high, students moderate, students were in a low category, and students is very low. The results of the comparison study show that differences in multicultural awareness of female students are higher than that of male students.
