Abstract

The focus of this Research aims to obtain a picture of learning outcomes at the S1 level, especially in the faculty of education in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Learning outcomes are designed to face the era of the global market (MEA). Learning outcomes are a set of learning outcomes aimed at improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Learning Outcomes consists of education and training. The sub focus of this research is to find out whether learning outcomes are applied according to market needs, or there are still learning outcomes that need to be recommended for the IQF curriculum in Indonesia. This research method is qualitative and quantitative. Data obtained from curriculum documents and laws in force in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Data collection techniques by observation, interview and documentation. The results of the study showed that there were similarities in learning outcomes in the aspects of curriculum objectives, namely to equip students with life skills. The difference is in terms of character building and independence and responsibility.

Abstract

Bahasa menjadi salah satu bagian penting dari kehidupan manusia dan juga salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan pikiran serta budaya dalam suatu masyarakat. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang hubungan bahasa, pikiran dan budaya. Yang kemudian erat kaitannya dengan relativitas bahasa dan relativitas budaya. Kemudian objek penelitian kali ini adalah tembang dolanan lir ilir yang diciptakan serta dipopulerkan oleh sunan kalijaga sebagai media dakwah beliau untuk menyebarkan agama Islam di pulau Jawa. Penulis memiliki keyakinan bahwa ada keterkaitan antara lirik tembang tersebut dengan potrait budaya Jawa pada masa itu jika dilihat dari sisi kehidupan dan sisi religi. Metode penelitian kali ini menggunakan studi pustaka (library research) dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Teknik analisis isi yang digunakan peneliti merupakan adaptasi dari analisis isi Klauss Krippendorff. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penulis menemukan bahwa terdapat nilai budaya masyarakat Jawa serta nilai religi yang ingin disampaikan yang tersirat dalam lirik tembang “Lir Ilir” oleh sunan kalijaga. Hubungan keterkaitan antara bahasa, pikiran dan budaya yang termuat dalam tembang lir ilir dalam lirik-liriknya yang menggambarkan budaya pada masyarakat Jawa.

Abstract

This research examines curriculum innovations in Islamic boarding school-based madrasas. Holistic learning, which integrates religious education (Islamic boarding school, also called pesantren) and formal education, is a powerful instrument for school admission to attract more students. Thus, Islamic boarding school-based madrasah curriculum needs to develop innovation to meet the needs of society consistently and adapt to the evolving educational landscape. This research aims to review the curriculum innovations carried out by pesantren-based Madrasah Aliyah to ensure relevance and effectiveness. This research employed a qualitative research design with a case study approach. It established a complex picture of excellent-based madrasa curriculum innovation by examining expressions, detailed reports, and conducting studies in natural situations with various stakeholders. This research concludes that pesantren curriculum innovation is implemented through some stages, including 1) doing needs analysis, 2) formulating and answering philosophical questions, 3) determining the curriculum design, and 4) creating a master plan: development, implementation, and assessment or evaluation for sustainable improvement.

Abstract

The emergence of the counter-productive in the world of education has led to the emergence of symptoms among the youths, even the adults, which show that they ignore the moral values and manners needed in a civilized society. Concerns about moral decadence, it is like a double-edged knife. If you are looking for the root of the problem on others, it is essentially be the root of the problem of yourself; so, blaming others means also blaming themselves. Thus, it is necessary to find the solution and the moral education in an appropriate action. This research on " Model of Moral Education in SMP 2 Jember" is done based on these concerns. The results of this study address that the design of applicative-integrative moral education in SMPN 2 Jember is applied into four models; first, it is integrated with the teaching and learning activities; second, it is included in the school culture that covering the school routine activities which are already programmed, and also the spontaneous activity, the exemplary of the educators and education personnel, and the physical and non-physical conditioning; third, the extra-curricular activities as the additional activity in SMPN 2 Jember; and fourth, comunity-based activities that involve the parents and societies in the implementation of applicative-integrative moral education. Abstract

Penilitian ini mengkaji faktor sosial dan faktor psikologis terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab. Objek penelitian ini adalah santri kelas 4 Intensif Pondok Modern Daarul Hikmah Tangerang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh faktor sosial dan psikologis terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab. Metode pada penelitian menggunakan Studi Kasus dengan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data; observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari analiss data menyatakan terdapat adanya hubungan antara faktor sosial dan psikologis terhadap kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Arab. This research examines social and psychological factors on the ability to speak Arabic. The object of this research is the 4th grade students of the Intensive Pondok Modern Daarul Hikmah Tangerang. The aim of this research is to find out how social and psychological factors influence the ability to speak Arabic. The research method uses case studies with qualitative descriptive research, with data collection techniques; observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of data analysis state that there is a relationship between social and psychological factors on the ability to speak Arabic.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan alat komunikasi utama yang memungkinkan manusia saling memahami baik dalam konteks sosial maupun budaya. Model mental merupakan sebuah representasi gambaran yang dimiliki individu berdasarkan pengalaman sebelumnya. Sedangkan proses produksi bahasa mencakup kemampuan dalam menyusun sebuah kalimat ataupun pemilihan diksi yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis relevansi antara model mental dan produksi bahasa pada faktor psikolinguistik; Metode yg digunakan adalah Kualitatif deskriptif dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber teori dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya; Model mental memberikan sebuah gambarang tentang pemahaman konteks maupun analisis konseptual sedangkan produksi bahasa memberikan ujaran dan tulisan yang dihasilkan dan dampak kepada psikoligis seseorang. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah mengintegrasikan model mental dan produksi bahasa melalui pendeketan psikolinguistik khususnya dalam pembelajaran berbahasa. Language is the primary communication tool that enables humans to understand one another, both in social and cultural contexts. A mental model is a representation or visualization held by an individual based on prior experiences. Meanwhile, the process of language production encompasses the ability to construct sentences and select appropriate diction. The aim of this study is to analyze the relevance between mental models and language production in the context of psycholinguistic factors. The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving the analysis of various theoretical sources and previous research findings. Mental models provide a framework for understanding context and conceptual analysis, whereas language production generates speech and writing, influencing an individual’s psychological state. The conclusion drawn is the integration of mental models and language production through a psycholinguistic approach, particularly in language learning

Abstract

The researcher chose this topic because teaching speaking skill didn’t success in promote students’ competence in speaking. One of the problems is the lack of dialogue exercises material, which leads to a lack of opportunity in doing conversation, especially about health. There are no abstract materials and patterns of expressions of health. The research aims to develop speaking materials based on language functions about health. The researcher used R&D method with a qualitative approach. Its use the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research shows that: (1) the speaking materials based on language functions about health supports in teaching speaking skill contains four materials: vocabulary, listening, speaking, and grammar. (2) The developed materials show their quality after being assessed by the expert in "Very Good” grade.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how optimizing press agentry based on Islamic boarding school values can improve the visibility of pesantren, audience engagement, and reputation through an integrated strategic approach. This study uses a qualitative approach of the case study type. The subjects of the study consisted of caregivers, heads of Islamic boarding schools, Islamic boarding school administrators, guardians of students, public relations, and students. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that optimizing press agentry in pesantren can improve the visibility of institutions by utilizing modern technology, as long as the messages conveyed are in accordance with the character of the audience and still reflect the values of the Islamic boarding school. Effective use of technology can strengthen the image of Islamic boarding schools, but it is important to maintain a balance between modernity and tradition so that their Islamic identity is not disturbed. In conclusion, a communication strategy that combines Islamic boarding school values with technology can strengthen the visibility of institutions and build better relationships with stakeholders, without sacrificing the identity and basic principles of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

AbstractThe use of appropriate teaching materials is crucial for creating an effective learning experience, supporting the achievement of educational objectives. One of the issues identified in teaching conversation at the Al-Kaffah Islamic Institute is that the teaching materials provided are not tailored to the students' proficiency levels. The materials used are based on personal efforts rather than being aligned with any reference framework. Therefore, this study aims to measure the effectiveness of structured teaching materials for teaching conversation at the beginner level (A1), based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes five phases. The researcher utilized a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. To collect data, the researcher relied on observations, interviews, questionnaires, and tests.This study resulted in the development of a conversation teaching material product titled “Al-Muhadathah Al-Arabiyyah” (Arabic Conversation) based on the CEFR framework for the A1 beginner level. The material includes vocabulary and exercises, expressions, dialogues, and related exercises.The effectiveness of this teaching material was validated through expert evaluations, where the material received substantial ratings ranging between 81% and 100%, categorized as "Excellent," with an average score of 95.45%. Additionally, the findings showed that the average speaking ability of seventh-grade students (Class 7A) after using the “Al-Muhadathah Al-Arabiyyah” material was 84.11%, significantly higher than their average ability before using the material, which was 51.01%. The difference between the two averages was 33.10%. This indicates that the “Al-Muhadathah Al-Arabiyyah” teaching material can effectively be used by learners at the A1 level, particularly at the Al-Kaffah Islamic Institute in Tangerang.Keywords: material development, conversation, CEFR مستخلص البحثيعد استخدام المواد التعليمية المناسبة أمرًا مهما لخلق تجربة تعليمية فعّالة مما يدعم تحقيق الأهداف التربوية. ومن المشكلات التي تم اكتشافها في تعليم المحادثة في معهد الكافة الإسلامي هو لا يتم تقديم المواد التعليمية بما يتناسب مع مستويات الطلاب، وتعتمد المواد التعليمية المستخدمة على الاجتهادات الشخصية بدلاً من الاستناد إلى أي إطار مرجعي .لذلك، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى قياس فعالية المواد التعليمية المنظمة في تعليم المحادثة للمستوى المبتدئ A1 بناءً على الإطار المرجعي الأوروبي المشترك للغات .(CEFR) اعتمد البحث على منهج البحث والتطوير باستخدام نموذج ADDIE، الذي يشمل خمس مراحل. استخدمت الباحثة منهجاً مختلطاً يجمع بين المدخل النوعي والمدخل الكمي. ولجمع البيانات، اعتمدت الباحثة على الملاحظة، والمقابلات، والاستبيانات، والاختبارات. أدى هذا البحث إلى إنتاج منتج مادة المحادثة بموضوع "المحادثة العربية" القائم على الإطار المرجعي الأوروبي المشترك للغات CEFR للمستوى المبتدئ A1، وتتضمن على المفردات وتدريباتها،  الأساليب، ثم الحوار والتدريبات عليها. وتم إثبات فعالية هذه المادة التعليمية من خلال نتائج التحقق من قبل المحكمين، حيث حصلت المادة على تقييم جوهري بنسبة تتراوح بين (٨١٪ - ١٠٠٪) ضمن فئة "ممتاز"، وبمتوسط درجات ٩٥،٤٥٪. كما أظهرت النتائج أن متوسط قدرة طلاب الصف السابع (٧أ) على المحادثة بعد استخدام المادة التعليمية "المحادثة العربية" وهي ٨٤،١١٪ أعلى من متواسط قدرتهم قبل استخدام تلك المادة ٥١،١٪. والفرق بينهما ٣٣،١٠٪. وهذا يدل على أن مادة "المحادثة العربية" يمكن استخدامها من قبل المتعلمين في المستوىA1، خاصة في معهد الكافة للتربية الإسلامية تانجيرانج.النقاط الحاكمة : تطوير مادة، محادثة، الإطار المرجعي الأوروبي المشترك للغات.

Abstract

Speaking skill is one of the important stages in Arabic language learning which is influenced by students' psychological readiness and vocabulary understanding. This study aims to reveal the relationship between self-confidence, vocabulary understanding, and students' speaking skills. The research used quantitative method with correlation study approach, using Pearson Product Moment data analysis. The research subjects were ninth grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Al-Zaytun, with a sample of 231 students taken using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a self-confidence questionnaire, vocabulary comprehension test, and speaking skill test. The analysis results showed a significant positive relationship between self-confidence (r = 0.411) and vocabulary comprehension (r = 0.251) to speaking skills. These two variables together contributed greatly to the development of students' speaking skills in Arabic. The findings suggest that self-confidence and vocabulary comprehension can be important indicators in improving students' speaking skills, as well as a basis for the development of more effective Arabic language learning methods.
