Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Training and Development on Employee Retention at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Mandailing Natal Regency. The research employed a quantitative associative causal approach with a saturated sampling technique, where the entire employee population was included. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to all employees at the Secretariat of the DPRD of Mandailing Natal Regency.The results of the regression test showed that Training and Development had a positive and significant effect on Employee Retention. The regression coefficient of 1.539 indicated that every increase of 1 point in Training and Development led to an increase of 1.539 points in Employee Retention, assuming other variables remained constant. The t-test results showed that the null hypothesis (Ho), which stated that there was no effect of Training and Development on Employee Retention, was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha), which stated that there was a positive effect, was accepted. This was supported by the t-value of 13.408, which was greater than the t-table value of 1.66298, and the significance value of 0.000, which was less than 0.05. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test yielded an Adjusted R Square value of 0.675 or 67.50%, indicating that Training and Development had a very high influence on Employee Retention, with 22.50% of the variability influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The high Adjusted R Square value suggested that the regression model used was adequate in explaining the variability in Employee Retention influenced by Training and Development. Overall, the findings of this study showed that improvements in Training and Development could contribute to increased Employee Retention at the Secretariat of the DPRD of Mandailing Natal Regency.

Abstract

Proper employee training and development as well as high job satisfaction are important factors in retaining employees in government organizations. This study aims to find out and analyze the effect of training and development on employee retention mediated by job satisfaction at the Secretariat of the Mandailing Natal Regency DPRD. This study uses a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was the entire employee population totaling 145 people, with a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that training and development had a positive and significant effect on employee retention, with a T-statistical value of 2.189 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.031 < 0.05, indicating that training and development can increase employee retention. In addition, training and development had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, with a T-statistical value of 40.287 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that training and development are able to increase employee job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also had a positive and significant effect on employee retention, with a T-statistical value of 3.930 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which showed that increasing job satisfaction could increase employee retention. In addition, job satisfaction was able to mediate the influence between training and development on employee retention, shown by a T-statistical value of 3.884 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results provide insight that training, development, and job satisfaction are effective strategies in increasing employee retention at the Mandailing Natal Regency DPRD Secretariat

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to create a sustainable positive impact on the economic development and empowerment of women in Gampong Mideun Jok, particularly through the production of detergent. The method employed involves providing understanding or socialization, practical application of acquired knowledge, and motivating partners regarding productive economic ventures. This activity yields positive outcomes in enhancing the skills and knowledge of young women and empowering the local community economically. The training on detergent production has successfully increased their capacity in micro-enterprises, providing a sustainable economic alternative. The involvement of the Al-Aziziyah Samalanga Institute of Islamic Studies (IAI) has significantly contributed to the implementation of the project, fostering a positive synergy between higher education institutions and the community. This program encourages economic inclusion and promotes women's participation in local economic development.

Abstract

Artikel ini menguraikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi perempuan di Desa Kandang, Kecamatan Samalanga, melalui inovasi pembuatan sabun cuci piring. Dengan fokus pada aspek pemberdayaan perempuan, penelitian ini menjelaskan implementasi, dampak, dan hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan tersebut. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Pendampingannya menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Peneliti bersama komunitas melakukan research bersama, merumuskan masalah, merencanakan tindakan, melakukan aksi secaraberkesinambungan dan berkelanjutan untuk artikel pengabdian berjudul Pemberdayaan Perempuan Dalam Meningkatkan Kemandirian Ekonomi Melalui Inovasi Pembuatan Sabun Cuci Piring di Desa Kandang Kecamatan Samalanga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan perempuan melalui inovasi pembuatan sabun cuci piring dapat menjadi model yang berhasil dalam meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi di tingkat desa. Dengan menggabungkan pendekatan partisipatif dan inovatif, proyek ini memberikan kontribusi positif yang signifikan bagi masyarakat Desa Kandang.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of exposure to the Pedestrian Transport Equipment (Kempang) in the Meranti Islands Regency and to analyze the constraints faced by the local government regarding the implementation of supervision of the Pedestrian Transport Equipment (Kempang) in the Meranti Islands Regency. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of supervision carried out by the Meranti Islands Regency Government for cross-Kampang has not been carried out properly or has not been optimal. Starting from planning supervision, implementation of supervision to the evaluation carried out. Therefore, the kempang as a means of public transportation needs serious attention from the Regional Government through the Ministry of Communication and Information, both in terms of budget management and planning programs, bearing in mind that many people depend on the kempang to facilitate their daily activities. Factors hindering the implementation of supervision of the People's Crossing Transport Equipment (Kempang) in Meranti Islands Regency are the absence of a communication forum between the Department of Transportation, kempang owners, and the community in an effort to create safe and comfortable kempang crossing transportation, lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure in the kempang crossing process , there is no seriousness from the Department of Transportation in carrying out supervision, even though the kempang crossing is an alternative transportation used for shopping, work, school and other needs and the local government's lack of attention to public transportation (kempang).

Abstract

This training and financial report preparation are designed as a form of community service with the aim of enhancing their knowledge and skills in preparing financial reports and accurate application-based tax calculations for MSME entrepreneurs in Mendalo Darat Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Through this training, participants are expected to understand the importance of preparing good and correct financial reports in accordance with accounting standards, as well as to increase awareness of the tax obligations that entrepreneurs must fulfill. The results of this activity show that the participants' understanding of basic accounting concepts, tax calculations, and the use of the Accurate application has significantly improved. Participants are able to apply the new knowledge, starting from entering transaction data to producing complete financial reports. In addition, they also showed an increased awareness of tax obligations and how to correctly calculate taxes according to the applicable regulations. This training has a positive impact on the financial management of MSMEs, which is expected to help improve operational efficiency and business sustainability

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Accounting Conservatism, Inventory Intensity, Capital Intensity, and Fixed Asset Intensity on Tax Avoidance. The variables studied are Accounting Conservatism, Inventory Intensity, Capital Intensity, and Fixed Asset Intensity as independent variables, while tax avoidance is the dependent variable. This research uses a quantitative method. The population consists of companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) 70 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021-2023. The sample includes 42 companies selected using purposive sampling. The data used are secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis technique applied in this study is multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS 25 software. The results show that inventory intensity has a significant positive effect on tax avoidance, fixed asset intensity has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, while accounting conservatism has no positive effect on tax avoidance, and capital intensity has no negative effect on tax avoidance. The variables of accounting conservatism, inventory intensity, capital intensity, and fixed asset intensity simultaneously have an effect on tax avoidance.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve public speaking skills for mosque youth in the Tuahmadani Village, Tuah Madani District, Pekanbaru City. Public speaking is an important skill for teenagers, because it can help them convey ideas, communicate effectively, and build self-confidence. The method used in this service is an intensive training approach. The service team will work with mosque administrators and young people to organize a series of public speaking trainings. The training materials will cover public speaking techniques, managing anxiety when speaking in front of a crowd, using the right body language, and how to compose and deliver a persuasive speech. The expected result of this service is an increase in public speaking skills for mosque youth in the Tuahmadani Village. With these skills, it is hoped that youth will be able to speak more confidently and effectively, and be able to convey positive messages to their peers and the surrounding community..

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak edukasi politik terhadap pemilih pemula di Desa Rimbo Panjang Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar. Desa ini dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian karena tingkat partisipasi pemilih pemula dalam proses politik seringkali rendah, yang bisa disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman tentang politik dan kebijakan publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dan wawancara dengan pemilih pemula dan pemangku kepentingan lokal.Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa edukasi politik memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap pemilih pemula di Desa Rimbo Panjang Tambang. Sebelum mendapatkan edukasi politik, mayoritas pemilih pemula memiliki pemahaman yang terbatas tentang proses politik dan isu-isu penting. Namun, setelah mengikuti program edukasi politik, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka, kemampuan untuk mengevaluasi informasi politik, dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses politik lokal.

Abstract

Managerial Effectiveness in Society 5.0 Era is characterized by rapid changes in technology, management of big data, adaptation of work paradigms, data security, changing employee skills, stronger innovation, ethical considerations, and increasing complexity of the business environment. Managers need to develop strong leadership, adaptability, and understanding of technology and social trends. In facing this challenge, managers need to develop adaptive leadership, creativity in managing resources, and a deep understanding of the implications of technology and social trends. In this journal, we analyze the concept of the managerial effectiveness paradigm needed to face Society 5.0, explore strategies to overcome existing challenges, and identify important implications for developing effective managerial skills.
