Abstract

Entrepreneurship is currently experiencing significant and dynamic development. The growth rate of entrepreneurship is a sensitive issue and challenge that attracts public attention in the middle of increasingly tight competition. The development of entrepreneurship is driven by various factors, including rapid technological development and globalization. However, with the development of technology, entrepreneurship also needs to have good preparation to face increasingly tight levels of competition and can maintain and create increasingly successful entrepreneurship. Therefore, this study aims to determine the factors that influence the sustainability resilience and survival of MSMEs. A quantitative method was used in this study, and incidental sampling was used to select 238 MSMEs as respondents. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out openly to MSMEs through associations that oversee the performance of MSMEs. Data analysis in this study used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis software version 3.0. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive effect on the sustainability resilience and survival of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial motivation has a positive and insignificant effect, and technological progress has a positive and insignificant effect. This study provides new contributions and knowledge that an entrepreneur must be able to know what preparations must be made and how they can manage MSMEs in the midst of competition to anticipate conflicts that will occur in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly changing the dynamics of modern work and creating new psychological risks for employees. This study aims to analyze the influence of AI Adoption on Depression, as well as to test the role of Psychological Safety as a mediator and Ethical Leadership as a moderator in this relationship. Using a quantitative approach with SEM-PLS, this study involved 195 employees from the financial sector, selected through purposive sampling with a minimum tenure of one year. The results show that AI adoption has a positive effect on depression and also has an impact on psychological safety. Furthermore, psychological safety has an insignificant effect on depression and mediates the relationship between AI adoption and depression. On the other hand, ethical leadership has a positive effect on psychological safety but does not moderate the of AI adoption on psychological safety. These findings indicate that psychological stress due to technology adoption is more influenced by AI-based work demands than leadership factors. Practically, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening a psychologically safe work environment to minimize the negative impacts of digitalization and support employee mental well-being.

Abstract

This study develops and tests a structural model linking Islamic leadership and emotional intelligence to teacher productivity, with workplace spirituality serving as a mediating variable. Grounded in Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory, the research involved 250 teachers from Islamic-based secondary schools in the Ex-Residency area of Banyumas, Indonesia. Data were collected using standardized instruments and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that both Islamic leadership and emotional intelligence significantly influence workplace spirituality and teacher productivity, both directly and indirectly. These findings highlight that work environments enriched with Islamic values, emotional competence, and spiritual meaning can enhance professional performance. This study contributes theoretically to the development of an integrative model and offers practical implications for educational policymakers to foster meaningful and sustainable school cultures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and perceived organizational support on organizational commitment with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among Civil Servants at Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara Regional General Hospital. A quantitative approach was employed using a questionnaire survey distributed to 120 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula (with a 10% margin of error) from a total population of 340 civil servants, selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that work-life balance is not significant for organizational commitment but has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Perceived organizational support has a considerable positive impact on both organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction is shown to mediate the relationships between work-life balance and perceived organizational support, and between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment. This study indicates that organizational commitment among public hospital employees is not solely determined by work–life balance but is more strongly driven by perceived organizational support, which enhances job satisfaction.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze the influence of Communication, Work Ethic, Quality of Work Life (QWL), and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on Employee Performance at Hotel Java Heritage Purwokerto. This research was conducted to address performance inconsistencies, communication gaps, and unstable work outcomes, indicating the need to explore internal factors affecting employee productivity. Methods: A quantitative approach using accidental sampling was applied, involving 105 employees as respondents. Data were collected offline through a questionnaire containing 34 indicator items. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 3.0.Results: The findings reveal that Communication and OCB have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Work Ethic shows a positive but non-significant effect, while QWL shows a negative but non-significant effect. These results indicate that strong communication and appropriate extra-role behavior can enhance performance, whereas work ethic and QWL do not directly improve employee outcomes. Conclusion and suggestion: This study highlights the importance of strengthening communication channels and supporting constructive OCB to improve performance. Although Work Ethic and QWL do not show significant effects, they remain relevant and require attention through training, motivation, and work environment enhancement. Future research is recommended to increase the sample size, include multiple hotels, and add moderating variables such as job satisfaction or leadership style to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of performance determinants. Abstract

High levels of work stress and employee turnover are classic problems in the hospitality industry that have serious implications for organizational sustainability. This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress on turnover intention through ego depletion, as well as test the role of Islamic Spiritual Well-Being (ISWB) as a moderation variable. This research is based on the Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory which emphasizes the importance of psychological resources in dealing with work pressure. The research population included 970 hotel and restaurant employees in the Purwokerto area, with a sample of 210 respondents selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that work stress has a positive effect on turnover intention both directly and indirectly through ego depletion. ISWB has been shown to moderate the relationship between work stress and turnover intention, where employees with high levels of Islamic spirituality show a lower tendency to leave work despite facing high stress. This research expands the application of COR Theory in the context of hospitality and makes a practical contribution to hotel and restaurant management in designing stress management programs based on Islamic spirituality.
