Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of the Main Waste Bank in Palembang from the perspective of syariah economics and the potential for community empowerment. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. This study identifies three main models in waste bank management: management, financing, and empowerment models. The findings show that the management model of the Bank Sampah in Palembang is operating well, but it needs continuous evaluation and improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The financing model still relies on community and government funds, highlighting the need for innovation in finding more sustainable financing sources. Meanwhile, the potential for community empowerment through the Bank Sampah is significant, yet it has not been fully maximized. Therefore, more structured and sustainable empowerment programs are necessary. This study recommends enhancing collaboration between the public and private sectors, applying syariah economic principles in financing, and developing more inclusive empowerment programs. The implications of these findings are expected to improve the sustainability and social-economic impact of the Waste Bank in Palembang.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Rejection to Land Procurement activities for public interest purposes are complex issues that require an in-depth understanding from both Islamic law (fiqh) and Indonesian legislative perspectives. This study aims to identify the reasons for land rights holders' Rejection to Land Procurement and analyze the approaches used in fiqh and national law to address these Rejection. A qualitative method with a literature study approach was used in this research. Data collected includes primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials relevant to Land Procurement issues and the rights of landholders. The study results indicate that, in Islamic fiqh, there is no standardized rule governing Rejection to Land Procurement; however, the principle of maslahat (benefit) serves as a primary basis for considering public interest without neglecting landholders' rights. On the other hand, Indonesian Law No. 2 of 2012 on Land Procurement for Development for Public Interest provides detailed procedures for handling Rejection, including provisions on compensation and legal recourse. In conclusion, fiqh offers greater flexibility based on government policy to balance individual rights with public interest, whereas Indonesian law is more structured in its regulatory resolutions. The novelty of this study lies in its comparative analysis between the normative fiqh approach and the positive law approach in Indonesia. This study recommends the integration of the maslahat principle within national legal practices to achieve fair resolutions and enhance awareness regarding land rights and obligations in the Land Procurement process. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of riayah management (maintenance and care) in the preservation of the Grand Mosque As-Salam of Lubuklinggau City by the Mosque Prosperity Council (Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid or DKM). A qualitative descriptive method was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that riayah management is implemented systematically by the DKM through well-defined task distribution, regular maintenance of the mosque building, and the provision of facilities that ensure the comfort of the congregants. The architectural style of the mosque reflects Middle Eastern influence, particularly through a dome inspired by the Nabawi Mosque, supported by 40 pillars symbolizing the age of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he received the first revelation. Facilities include prayer halls, toilets, ablution areas, a library, a multimedia room, a secretariat office, a Quran Learning Center (TPA), and various supporting equipment such as Qur’ans, prayer garments, carpets, air conditioning units, and sound systems. The DKM conducts periodic renovations to maintain the building’s quality and ensure the functionality of the mosque's amenities. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited human resource development, poor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical disruptions. Despite these issues, the DKM remains committed to preserving the mosque’s role as a comfortable and welcoming place of worship and a center of Islamic activity. The study concludes that effective riayah management contributes significantly to maintaining a clean, orderly, and spiritually enriching environment for the community.

Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, youth organization leaders (IPNU–IPPNU), active and less active youth participants, and community members. The findings reveal that digital media plays a strategic role in disseminating information, fostering engagement, and creating a religious space that aligns with the digital habits of younger generations. Key supporting factors include easy access to technology, the active involvement of youth in digital promotion, and support from parents and community leaders. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, unstable internet infrastructure, and lack of content innovation remain. In conclusion, digital media has the potential to become an inspirational and transformative tool for religious outreach if managed collaboratively and contextually.

Abstract

This research aims to formulate a mechanism for resolving objections from land rights holders to land procurement activities intended for public purposes. Employing a qualitative approach and literature study, this research is guided by Maslahat Theory with a comparative approach. It relies on secondary data, including primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The study reveals that objections to land procurement activities have existed since the early period of Islam, notably during the times of Prophet Muhammad SAW and al-Khulafā' ar-Rāshidun. Fiqh does not provide a standardized mechanism for resolving land rights holders' objections to land procurement, instead leaving resolution to government policy based on the broader benefits of the state and religion, ensuring land rights holders are not oppressed or harmed. Based on resolutions used by early Islamic caliphs, this research identifies three resolution methods: discussion and dialogue, tahkim (arbitration), and court proceedings. Implementing these three methods is entrusted to the government, tailored to local customs (uruf) and the evolving dynamics of land procurement regulations for public purposes. In Indonesia, objections to land procurement activities are comprehensively regulated, notably through Law No. 2 of 2012 on Land Procurement for Development in the Public Interest.
