Abstract

facilities, and school programs on parents’ school choice decisions. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of parents of students enrolled at a private junior high school, with a total of 47 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results indicate that word of mouth has a positive and significant effect on parents’ school choice decisions. In contrast, school facilities and school programs do not show a significant partial effect. However, the simultaneous test reveals that word of mouth, school facilities, and school programs collectively have a significant influence on parents’ decisions in choosing a school. These findings suggest that interpersonal communication and recommendations play a more decisive role than physical facilities or program offerings in parents’ school evaluations. This study contributes to the literature on educational service marketing by emphasizing the importance of word of mouth as a key determinant of parents’ school choice decisions and provides practical implications for school management in developing effective communication and promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principals’ visionary leadership style, school climate, and interpersonal relationships on teacher productivity. A quantitative approach was employed using a census method, involving all teachers in the population as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that, partially, visionary leadership has a positive and significant effect on teacher productivity, while school climate and interpersonal relationships do not show a significant partial effect. However, simultaneously, visionary leadership, school climate, and interpersonal relationships have a significant influence on teacher productivity. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.547 indicates that 54.70% of the variance in teacher productivity can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings highlight the critical role of principals’ visionary leadership as the dominant factor in enhancing teacher productivity, as well as the importance of strengthening school climate and interpersonal relationships as supporting factors for sustaining teacher performance in the long term.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of salary, motivation, and work discipline on teachers’ performance. A quantitative approach was employed using a saturated sampling technique, involving all 30 teachers in the population. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that partially, salary and motivation do not have a significant effect on teachers’ performance, while work discipline has a significant effect. Simultaneously, salary, motivation, and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance, with a coefficient of determination of 74%, indicating substantial explanatory power. These findings imply that improving teachers’ performance requires a holistic strategy. Although maintaining a fair and transparent salary system remains important, greater emphasis should be placed on strengthening value-based work discipline and enhancing intrinsic motivation through non-monetary development programs. Such an integrated approach can support sustainable performance improvement in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of social stigma, market revitalization, government support, and facility access on the satisfaction of Indigenous Papuan women traders at the Mama-Mama Papua Market in Jayapura City. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with active traders as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. The results indicate that market revitalization and facility access have positive and significant partial effects on trader satisfaction, while social stigma and government support do not show significant partial effects. Nevertheless, all variables simultaneously have a significant effect on trader satisfaction, with facility access emerging as the most dominant factor. These findings highlight that satisfaction in affirmative traditional markets is primarily shaped by structural and functional conditions directly experienced in daily trading activities. The study offers policy-relevant insights for managing people-centered traditional markets grounded in social justice and local wisdom.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between character education and children’s social behavior by investigating the mediating role of emotional development in early childhood education settings. A quantitative survey design was employed involving 60 teachers from Palm Kids Preschool in Palembang, Indonesia. Data were collected using structured questionnaires developed from indicators of character education, emotional development, and social behavior. The data were analyzed through simple linear regression and mediation analysis using the Sobel test. The findings reveal that character education has a positive and significant effect on both emotional development and children’s social behavior. Emotional development was also found to significantly influence social behavior. Furthermore, the mediation analysis confirmed that emotional development significantly mediates the relationship between character education and social behavior. These results indicate that character education contributes not only directly to the enhancement of children’s social behavior but also indirectly through strengthening emotional competencies. The study highlights the importance of integrating character-building practices with emotional development strategies in early childhood education to foster adaptive and prosocial behavior. This research contributes to the growing discourse on socio-emotional learning and character-based education by providing empirical evidence from the context of early childhood education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia's ice cream market, driven by changing consumer lifestyles and preferences, has intensified competition among brands. Mixue, a prominent Chinese ice cream and beverage chain, faces challenges in maintaining customer loyalty amidst rising competitors like AI Cha and Momoyo. Understanding how brand image and price perception influence purchase decisions, mediated by consumer trust, is critical for Mixue's strategic positioning. This study examines (1) the direct effects of brand image and price perception on trust and purchase decisions, and (2) the mediating role of trust in these relationships at Mixue Nusaloka BSD. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 100 respondents via on-site questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analyzed the relationships between variables, with validity (loading factors ≥ 0.70, AVE ≥ 0.50) and reliability (Cronbach’s alpha ≥ 0.70) confirmed. Brand image and price perception significantly enhance trust (β = 0.430 and 0.488, respectively) and directly influence purchase decisions (β = 0.325 and 0.353). Trust also positively affects purchase decisions (β = 0.288) and mediates the price-perception-to-purchase link, not the brand-image-to-purchase relationship. Mixue should prioritize strengthening brand image and competitive pricing to foster trust and drive purchases. Future research should expand samples across locations, incorporate variables like service quality, and use mixed methods to enhance generalizability. These insights offer actionable strategies for F&B brands in competitive markets.
