Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a change from face-to-face learning to online learning; thus giving rise to students' anxiety. This study aims to determine the contribution of anxiety to the learning motivation of senior high school students in online learning. This research is designed in the form of quantitative research methods. The population consists of high school students in Yogyakarta with a research sample of 80 students. The sampling technique uses probability sampling. The data collection tool uses a learning motivation scale developed by researchers based on aspects of perseverance in learning, tenacious in facing difficulties, interest and sharpness of attention in learning, achievement in learning, and independence in learning. The learning motivation scale has an alpha Cronbach reliability coefficient of 0.940. Meanwhile, the scale of disability was developed by researchers based on aspects of heart, cognitive, somatic, and motor with an alpha Cronbach reliability coefficient of 0.860. Data analysis was carried out using the statistical analysis method of product-moment correlation from Pearson with the help of SPSS release 16. The results of the data analysis obtained a significant value of 0.002 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.320, which means that there is a significant negative relationship between anxiety and student learning motivation in online learning. The coefficient of determination of 0.103 shows that anxiety contributes of 10.30% to the motivation of upper-secondary students in online learning, while 89.70% is influenced by other factors that were not involved in this study.

Abstract

Background: Compliance is often a problem in patients with chronic diseases that require lifestyle modification and long-term treatment such as pulmonary tuberculosis. Patient compliance behavior in treatment can be influenced by psychological factors such as memory and health control behavior. Each individual has different behavior regarding the extent of their current health condition and is determined by their own behavior (internal) or by external forces. This states that health control behavior greatly determines the decisions taken by patients regarding health conditions and compliance with treatment Method: This study used a correlational design which aimed to reveal the relationship between health control behavior and medication adherence in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Jember Lung Hospital and used a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were pulmonary tuberculosis patients who underwent treatment at the Pulmonary Tuberculosis Clinic, Jember Lung Hospital with a sample of 82 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Result: The results of research using the Spearman Rho Test obtained a p value of 0.001, where if this value is compared with the ɑ value, it shows a p value <ɑ, namely 0.001 < 0.05, which means there is a relationship between health control behavior and adherence to taking medication in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Jember Lung Hospital with a calculated r of 0.478 in the sufficient correlation category and the direction of the correlation is positive, which means that the better a person's health control behavior, the more compliant a person will be in taking medication. Conclusion: This research can provide input to nursing services regarding the importance of health control behavior with medication adherence in pulmonary tuberculosis patients. This can be done by nurses to provide motivation by providing education to pulmonary tuberculosis patients so that they have good health control behavior and are compliant in taking medication.

Abstract

State Islamic University libraries are striving to become research libraries. Since humanities are the core discipline in most State Islamic Universities, a new service concept—digital humanities—has been introduced to support research activities. This study explores the implementation of digital humanities in three State Islamic University libraries: UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that while the libraries have sufficient librarians, their involvement in research activities is not extensive or proactive. Additionally, the facilities and infrastructure necessary to support digital humanities are inadequate. Although policies supporting digital humanities exist, there is a lack of strategic programs to explore and fully enhance library use and involvement in research. Furthermore, internal cooperation between institutions has been established but remains limited, indicating a need for libraries to adopt a more proactive role. These insights underscore the challenges and opportunities in implementing digital humanities within State Islamic University libraries, providing a foundation for future strategic initiatives to enhance their research support capabilities.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper explores the application of machine learning (ML) techniques to project the future consumption of bio solar energy in Indonesia, aiming to inform and guide policy decisions in the energy sector. The transition to renewable energy sources is crucial for sustainable development, especially in emerging economies like Indonesia, which has shown a growing interest in bio solar energy. This research method uses Quantitative Research with Linear Regression and Sarima approaches. We employed several ML models, using Phyton which analyze with Multiple Linear Regression, Lasso Regression and Sarima, to analyze historical data on energy consumption, economicindicators, demographic changes, and technological advancements. Our findings indicate that machine learning models can effectively predict bio solar consumption trends, highlighting the influence of economic growth, urbanization, and technological innovation on renewable energy adoption. The models suggest an increasing trajectory in bio solar consumption, driven by policy incentives, technological advancements, and a growing awareness of environmental issues. The accuracy of ml predictions is contingent upon the availability and quality of data. Furthermore, the projections may not account for unforeseen economic or technological changes. Future research should focus on incorporating more dynamic data sources and exploring the impact of policy changes on renewable energy adoption. In conclusion, leveraging machine learning for policy projection offers a promising approach to support the growth of bio solar consumption in Indonesia. This study provides a foundation for future research and highlights the potential of ml in crafting informed, effective energy policies.
