Abstract

Human rights are fundamental rights inherent to every individual that must be respected without discrimination. This study aims to explore the concept of human rights protection within the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW and its relevance to contemporary society. Employing a qualitative approach through library research, primary data were sourced from the Sahih Muslim and other pertinent hadith literatures, which were then analyzed using descriptive-analytical content analysis. The results indicate that the Hadith comprehensively regulates the protection of the right to life, legal justice, security, and honor, as well as social and economic rights for vulnerable groups. These principles align with modern human rights concepts regarding justice and equality; however, they differ in their epistemological foundations, where Islam places revelation as the primary source and emphasizes a balance between rights, obligations, and moral responsibility. The implementation of these Hadith-based values remains highly relevant as an ethical framework for public policy and law enforcement to address modern global challenges, such as social inequality and the abuse of power.

Abstract

Khulu’ is one of the divorce mechanisms in Islam that grants a wife the right to terminate the marital bond by providing certain compensation to the husband. This study aims to analyze the concept of khulu’ based on thematically relevant hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as well as to explain the normative, procedural, and moral foundations of its practice in Islam. The method employed is library research with a qualitative approach, involving the collection and analysis of hadiths on khulu’ found in various hadith compilations, complemented by an examination of classical fiqh literature to explore the views of the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali), as well as contemporary scholars. The collected data are then classified thematically, analyzed comparatively, and interpreted contextually. The findings indicate that khulu’, from the perspective of thematic hadith, is understood as a form of Islamic justice that provides protection for women in disharmonious marital relationships. The hadiths on khulu’ emphasize mutual consent, the obligation to return the dowry, and the prohibition of abuse of rights by either spouse. Therefore, khulu’ is not merely a legal instrument of divorce, but also a conflict resolution mechanism oriented toward public welfare (maṣlaḥah) and the balance of rights within Muslim families.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of religious broadcasting radio in shaping socio-religious relations thru the communication process between the broadcaster and the listeners. Radio An-Nashihah Sakinah with Sunnah was chosen as the research object because it consistently promotes the value of silaturahim in its broadcasting strategy. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with library study and observation methods on the broadcasting programs of Radio An-Nashihah. The observations were conducted in real time during broadcasts over a two-month period, focusing on the interactions between the host, guests, and listeners in programs on religious counseling, family issues, and Quranic recitation. The analysis is conducted using a communication sociology perspective to see how the value of silaturahim is practiced in da'wah communication interactions thru radio media. The research results show that Radio An-Nashihah implements the value of silaturahim thru program planning oriented toward audience needs, human resource management according to competence, and the presentation of interactive programs such as religious consultations, family studies, and Quranic learning. The dialogical and participatory communication pattern allows for emotional closeness between the broadcaster and the listeners, thereby forming social relationships that are spiritual and communal in nature. Thus, radio not only functions as a medium for conveying religious information but also as a space for social communication that strengthens Islamic brotherhood within the community. This research shows that radio media can be an effective means of preaching in building social relations based on Islamic values in the digital communication era.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of governmental politics from the perspective of the hadiths of prophet muhammad (pbuh) by employing a thematic hadith approach and analyzing the relevance and implementation of its political values within contemporary state governance. As the second primary source of islamic teachings after the qur’an, the prophetic hadith provides normative and ethical foundations concerning leadership, authority, justice, trustworthiness (amanah), consultation (shūrā), and the responsibilities of rulers toward their citizens. Through the thematic hadith approach, this study systematically compiles and analyzes hadiths related to governmental politics, thereby generating a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the subject. The findings reveal that governmental politics in islam is not perceived as a means of pursuing power, but rather as a trust that must be exercised in accordance with the principles of justice, integrity, and public welfare (maṣlaḥah). These values demonstrate strong relevance to contemporary governance practices, particularly in addressing issues such as corruption, abuse of power, weak bureaucratic integrity, and legal injustice. The implementation of the prophetic values contained in the hadiths can be realized through the strengthening of political ethics, the promotion of good governance, the enhancement of public participation, and exemplary leadership. Therefore, the thematic study of hadith makes a significant contribution to the formulation of a contextual and applicable islamic political ethics framework aimed at fostering a just, transparent, and welfare-oriented government.

Abstract

This study discusses hadiths related to stock investment from an Islamic perspective, focusing on a hadith narrated by al-Khamsah from ‘Amr bin Syu’aib, sourced from his father and grandfather, which has been authenticated by Tirmidzi, Ibnu Khuzaimah, and Hakim. After confirming the authenticity of the hadith, the next step is to provide syarah (explanation) to clarify its meaning. This research employs the methods of takhrij and syarah, along with a disciplinary approach that includes theological, historical, and philosophical perspectives. The study aims to answer several key questions regarding the content of the hadith on investment, the authenticity of the hadith related to investment, and the explanation of hadiths that support stock investment in Islam. The methodology used is a thematic (maudhui) approach with textual, contextual, and intertextual analysis. In conclusion, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught that investment should be conducted with honesty and commitment. The hadith regarding stock investment is accepted and serves as guidance for Muslim practices. Investment is encouraged in Islam, as it can create employment opportunities and prevent the accumulation of wealth. However, it must avoid prohibited elements in both the object and method of investment.

Abstract

Hadith, as the second primary source of Islamic teachings after the Qur’an, has a long and complex history of development. This study examines the historical journey of Hadith from the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until the formal compilation of Hadith books. This process includes three important phases: the era of the Prophet and his Companions, characterized by memorization and oral transmission; the era of the Tabi‘in, marked by early efforts of collection and verification; and the period of formal codification, which began in the second century of the Hijri calendar. This research employs a library research method with a historical-descriptive approach to analyze the dynamics of Hadith development. The findings indicate that the development of Hadith was influenced by various internal and external factors, including concerns over the fabrication of Hadith, the need for documentation, and the expansion of Islamic territories. The codification process involved rigorous methodologies, particularly the system of isnad (chain of transmission) and Hadith criticism, which remain the foundation of Hadith scholarship to this day. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the compilation of Hadith was the result of a gradual process involving contributions from multiple generations of scholars while consistently maintaining the authenticity and accuracy of the transmission of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Abstract

Arabic, as a lingua sacra for Muslims, holds a distinct position due to its role as the medium for the revelation of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Authentic understanding of the Qur'an and Sunnah heavily relies on proficiency in Arabic. Linguistic limitations can hinder access to deep meanings, rhetorical beauty, and the essence of Islamic teachings. Without Arabic, reliance on translations risks misinterpretation. The history of Islamic civilization demonstrates Arabic's central role as the lingua franca of knowledge. However, in the digital era, the urgency of Arabic is threatened by the dominance of international languages, potentially eroding a profound and holistic understanding of Islam. This research is library research with qualitative approach. The purpose of the research is to understand Arabic from a hadith perspective, particularly the hadith about Qur'an reciters whose recitation does not go beyond their throats. This hadith criticizes shallow religious formalism and emphasizes the significance of internalizing meaning. Learning Arabic is a fundamental necessity for understanding, practicing, and preserving the intellectual heritage of Islam.
