Abstract

This research is also a follow-up to the research with the same scheme in 2021, entitled "Local-Based Empowerment: Tourism Village Development and Local Village Women's Empowerment". In addition, the team from UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur has helped the development of tourist villages in Tegaren Village through the preparation of the Tegaren Tourism Master Plan 2019-2031. So, this research, in addition to examining the development of Trenggalek Regency to develop its tourism sector, will also discuss the perception of the people of Tegaren about the progress of their tourism village which has been supported by the Tegaren Tourism Master Plan. This will be the main indicator for the research team to carry out a follow-up plan for the preparation of the Tegaren Tourism Master Plan document. The specific objectives of this research are twofold, namely 1) to find and further examine the perception of the people of Tegaren about the progress of their tourist village and 2) to formulate and apply a follow-up plan (RTL) for the development of the Tegaren tourism sector based on the Master Plan document. This research is the embodiment of the UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur’s Research and Community Service Strategic Plan 2021-2026. This research is in line with one of the six main themes of the research and community service program in 2022, namely tourism. In addition, this research also pays attention to the linearity of the themes of national research and community service programs, namely economic recovery and tourism development. On a regional and regional scale, this research also supports the RIPPDA of Trenggalek 2017-2031 in the tourism sector. The outputs of this research are 1) scientific journals/articles to be published in periodicals and 2) oral and poster presentations at the International Seminar of Research Month event. Theories and concepts used in this study are the theory of community social perception, asset-based community development, community based tourism, and sustainable tourism. This research will be carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the field study implementation stage and the evaluation stage. This research uses descriptive-exploratory research. In this study, the data collection techniques used were literature studies, interviews, questionnaires, and observations. While the data analysis used qualitative data analysis techniques. This research also involves 5 students who will later be converted into the MBKM program with recognition of 20 credits. The temporary results achieved are the satisfaction of the people of Tegaren with the progress of their tourist village. Abstract

Strategic tourism areas both regionally and nationally have the opportunity to develop conceptualized tourism destinations, such as the existence of Regional Tourism Destinations (DPD/Destinasi Wisata Daerah), hereinafter abbreviated as RTD/DPD Panggul, in Panggul, Trenggalek Regency. This research is important because the development of DPD Panggul involves various tourist attractions that come from resources within the local community, with several supporting facilities for tourism managed by the community, but the level of participation in decision-making and activities in tourism organizations is still not conceptualized in the community. This study has 2 (two) points of urgency, namely empowering the Panggul District community to be more economically empowered and as an entry point for formulating and implementing community-based tourism strategies and local values ??so that there is no brian drain on a larger scale from rural to remote. urban. The mandatory outputs of this research include scientific articles in indexed/accredited national journals and are included as oral presenters at international seminars. This research is in line with one of the six main themes of the research and community service program in 2022. On a regional and regional scale, this research also supports the 2019-2024 East Java RPJMD on Nawa Bhakti Satya, especially on Nawa Bhakti Harmoni, and also supports the Trenggalek Regency RIPPDA 2017-2031 in the tourism sector. As with the research in the first year, concepts such as A4, recreational opportunity spectrum, tourist destinations, tourist attractions, and community-based tourism are still being used. This study uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method with the location setting in Panggul District, Kab. Trenggalek. The data collection and data analysis is presented by observation and in-depth interviews.

Abstract

The Bekurban program is a program to distribute besek (traditional packaging made of bamboo) from one of the fostered villages of UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur, namely Tegaren village in Trenggalek Regency, to mosques and the organizers of one of the activities of the Idul Qurban, namely the slaughter of sacrificial animals. The purpose of using this besek is to replace the plastic packaging that has been used to wrap the meat of sacrificial animals. By replacing plastic bags with plastic bags, the production of plastic bags on the Idul Qurban will also decrease. BUMDes Banyu Lumut is a business unit that used to take up business activities as a savings and loan cooperative. However, the BUMDes Banyu Lumut experienced a long-term debt default phase. Therefore, it is very difficult to provide health or stimulus to BUMDes Banyu Lumut. The proposing team has formulated two main problems, namely a) the unprofessional management of the BUMDes Banyu Lumut which causes management to fail, and b) the Besek Untuk Kurban program which still does not have marketing instruments. As a solution, the proposing team brought up the making of a video profile of Besek Untuk Kurban activities as a means of digital promotion and new knowledge for village youth and BUMDes Banyu Lumut administrators in Tegaren Village. This PIKAT community service activity is carried out using two methods, namely 1) asset-based community development (ABCD) as a method of social approach to the community and 2) production of profile videos with a soft skill approach. Meanwhile, the mandatory outputs include modules, printed and electronic media articles, publications on YouTube, speakers at scientific meetings, the application of science and technology, intellectual property rights and the MBKM program with a minimum conversion of 2 credits for students. The provisional result is that the Bekurban program has managed to collect donations of more than 10 million rupiah this year to provide incentives to besek craftsmen in Tegaren. The team's plan after this is to make a sustainability plan for the Bekurban program through social media.

Abstract

This community service is entitled "Creating a virtual village landscape tour in the "National" village of Wonorejo. The purpose of making a virtual tour as a promotional medium is to introduce, the market in visual form. Virtual tour as a form of location simulation that digitally displays sound, narration, and text is a medium that has been widely used because it is effective and efficient in marketing, especially in tourism. The implementation of the service in the Wonorejo village, the "national" tourism village, was held with two activities, namely: 1) virtual making with the stages of taking pictures that characterize the Wonorejo village landscape, 2) basic education and training on shooting (for virtual tours) involving several village officials who have basic visual technology skills. The training method with direct involvement or direct practice in the use of technological tools is more effective. So that the development or filling of virtual content can be done independently by the village as a form of continuity.

Abstract

Kalanganyar Village, located not far from Juanda International Airport, is a fishing tourism destination that is widely known by the people of Sidoarjo. In addition to fishing, in Kalanganyar Village there is a Fish Auction Place (TPI) Kalanganyar which sells the results of fishermen returning from the sea as well as from the results of pond farmers around Kalanganyar. However, tourism development around fishing ponds and seafood restaurants is still not optimally developed. Therefore, the proposing team has the basic assumption that the tourism sector of Kalanganyar Village still has potential assets that have not been developed. One of the potential assets in the village is the potential for riverside tourism which empties into the Bali Sea. Departing from a brief explanation regarding the situation analysis, the community service team can articulate several partner problems, namely a) the absence of strategic planning for the tourism sector in Kalanganyar; b) there has been no development of tourism products and services in Kalanganyar Village; c) there is no unified vision between the village government, village institutions, and the community, and d) there is still a large volume of waste in the tourist area. The proposing team took two priority issues, namely, the stagnation of tourism in Kalanganyar Village, both in terms of goods/services products to tourism planning in Kalanganyar and the unified vision of tourism between village institutions and village communities in Kalanganyar. To answer the problems that have been mentioned, the PIHAT program implemented in Kalanganyar will provide alternative solutions, such as 1) virtual tours and 2) integrated tourism assistance. This community service activity is carried out using the methods of a) virtual tour social counseling as well as virtual tour production, b) asset management training and tourism potential, and c) assistance for tourism activities.

Abstract

Masaran Village is one of the tourist villages located in Trenggalek Regency. This village is located adjacent to the south coast with a distance of approximately 40 km from the district government center. Masaran Village has also developed various tourist attractions and activities offered to tourists, including mangrove education and turtle conservation, beach safaris, fun games, camping tours, outbound. The Mutiara Laut Sumbreng Pokmaswas was established in 2013 located in Masaran Village, Munjungan District. This community group, which is active in turtle conservation and beach cleaning, consists of 23 people, 12 of whom are women. So far, the Fisheries Service has provided more training on fish management and turtle care, so the Pokmaswas submitted assistance funds to the Village Government to conduct counseling and training, but with new regulations directing village funds to handle Covid, the Village Government has not dared to budget for training to Pokmaswas. So that the role of universities is needed in helping partner problems. The proposal team has formulated one priority issue, namely the lack of tourism innovation in the turtle conservation area in Masaran Village. Based on the priority issues above, the proposing team provided an alternative solution for the PIKAT program, namely the holding of training on making turtle souvenirs from coconut shells and coconut husks typical of Masaran Village. PIKAT community service activities are carried out using three methods, namely 1) asset-based community development (ABCD) as a method of social approach to the community, 2) counseling and training on making souvenirs from coconut shells, and 3) producing souvenirs from coconut shells in the form of turtles. turtle. Meanwhile, the mandatory outputs include print and electronic media articles, publications on YouTube, modules, intellectual property rights, and the MBKM program with a minimum conversion of 2 credits for students.
