Abstract

Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental learning disorder that significantly affects children’s reading and writing skills despite normal intelligence, and delayed identification may lead to long-term academic and psychosocial consequences. Existing dyslexia screening methods rely heavily on expert-driven assessments that are time-consuming, subjective, and difficult to scale in non-clinical settings. Although recent studies have explored artificial intelligence (AI) approaches for dyslexia detection, many remain limited to single-modality data, offline analysis, or non-mobile implementations, restricting their practical applicability for early screening. This study aimed to develop an AI-based mobile application for early dyslexia detection by leveraging sequential text and speech data through a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) architecture, specifically the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). A Research and Development (R&D) methodology was employed, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, GRU model training, mobile application development with Flutter, and system integration with a RESTful backend and a MySQL database. The GRU model was trained on preprocessed reading text and voice recordings to capture temporal patterns associated with dyslexia-related reading behaviors. Experimental results indicate that the proposed model achieved reliable classification performance in identifying dyslexia-related patterns, while the mobile application successfully delivered real-time screening results and maintained longitudinal assessment records. The findings demonstrate that integrating lightweight sequential deep learning models into mobile platforms offers a scalable and accessible solution for early dyslexia screening, supporting independent use by parents and educators outside clinical environments.

Abstract

The flipped classroom (FC) model has gained prominence in higher education, yet its effectiveness in fostering student collaboration remains inconclusive. This study systematically reviews existing literature to examine how FC implementation influences collaborative learning outcomes. A systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA framework. Ten empirical studies published between 2015 and 2023 were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria. The studies were analyzed with a focus on instructional design, assessment alignment, and the operationalization of collaboration. The findings reveal that while FC approaches are widely adopted, their impact on collaboration varies considerably. Studies that explicitly structured collaborative roles and aligned collaboration with assessment practices reported stronger outcomes. In contrast, studies that treated collaboration implicitly or descriptively demonstrated weaker or inconsistent results. Additionally, collaboration was often insufficiently defined or measured as a primary learning outcome. The review identifies significant gaps in the literature, including limited conceptualization and measurement of collaboration, as well as a lack of longitudinal and discipline-specific research, particularly in Informatics Engineering. These findings suggest that FC environments do not inherently enhance collaboration. More rigorous research designs that explicitly integrate and assess collaboration are needed to better understand and optimize its role within flipped learning contexts.

Abstract

Background: Natural disasters pose significant risks to vulnerable populations, particularly pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, who face increased health and safety challenges during emergencies. Strengthening disaster preparedness through accessible educational strategies is essential to improve resilience and reduce adverse outcomes. Objective: This study aimed to develop and evaluate an Android-based application as an educational tool to enhance disaster preparedness among maternal populations. Methods: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model, followed by feasibility and effectiveness evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, validation assessments, and structured questionnaires. The application was tested among pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women using a pretest–posttest design to assess changes in disaster preparedness knowledge. Results: The developed application, named “Ibu Siaga Bencana,” demonstrated high content and media validity. Preliminary testing showed good usability and practicality. Effectiveness evaluation indicated a 40% increase in participants' disaster preparedness knowledge following application use, suggesting a substantial improvement in understanding. Conclusion: The application is a feasible and effective educational tool for improving disaster preparedness among maternal populations. Further studies with larger samples and more rigorous designs are needed to confirm its effectiveness and long-term impact.

Abstract

Penerimaan siswa baru merupakan proses penting yang menentukan kualitas input pendidikan di sekolah. SMAN 1 Painan menghadapi kendala dalam proses seleksi yang masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga memerlukan waktu lama, kurang akurat, dan berpotensi menimbulkan subjektivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) untuk membantu proses seleksi penerimaan siswa baru menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Metode SAW dipilih karena mampu melakukan penilaian multi-kriteria secara sederhana, cepat, dan objektif melalui proses pembobotan dan perangkingan alternatif. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan metode prototype dengan tahapan komunikasi, perencanaan, desain, konstruksi, serta evaluasi. Implementasi sistem menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Kriteria yang digunakan meliputi nilai akademik, prestasi, organisasi, dan hafalan Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan rekomendasi siswa secara lebih cepat, akurat, dan transparan dibandingkan metode manual. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dapat membantu pihak sekolah dalam pengambilan keputusan yang lebih efektif serta meminimalisir kesalahan dalam proses seleksi penerimaan siswa baru.

Abstract

Masalah gizi pada balita masih menjadi persoalan kesehatan masyarakat yang serius di Indonesia, dengan prevalensi stunting nasional sebesar 19,8% (SSGI 2024). Pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita masih banyak dilakukan secara manual melalui Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS) yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam visualisasi data dan deteksi dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan platform visualisasi data pertumbuhan balita berbasis web dengan fitur deteksi dini tahap perkembangan anak menggunakan framework Laravel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Waterfall yang terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, deployment, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem dikembangkan dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP (Laravel), basis data MySQL, dan library Chart.js untuk visualisasi data. Algoritma Decision Tree digunakan sebagai metode machine learning untuk klasifikasi status gizi balita berdasarkan standar antropometri WHO. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan Black Box Testing dan User Acceptance Testing (UAT) oleh 10 ibu balita. Sistem berhasil mengintegrasikan fitur analisis status gizi berbasis z-score WHO, visualisasi grafik pertumbuhan interaktif (BB/U, TB/U, BB/TB), deteksi dini milestone perkembangan anak (motorik kasar, motorik halus, bahasa, personal-sosial), serta rekomendasi nutrisi otomatis. Hasil pengujian black box menunjukkan seluruh fungsionalitas sistem berjalan 100% sesuai harapan. UAT menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna sebesar 90% dengan kategori "Sangat Setuju" pada aspek kemudahan penggunaan dan akurasi informasi. Lebih lanjut, uji kelayakan terintegrasi dilakukan dengan metode validasi ahli (skor 89,2%/"Sangat Valid"), uji kepraktisan oleh pengguna (skor 91,5%/"Sangat Praktis"), serta uji keefektifan melalui pre-test/post-test yang menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman ibu sebesar 42,5% dan percepatan waktu deteksi hingga 78% dibandingkan metode manual. Platform SiPAGINTA (Sistem Pemantauan Gizi dan Tumbuh Kembang Balita) yang dikembangkan terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam membantu ibu balita memantau pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak secara mandiri, akurat, dan real-time. Abstract

Pengelolaan kuliah umum di perguruan tinggi sering menghadapi kelemahan pada pendaftaran, presensi, dan rekapitulasi kehadiran karena proses manual belum mampu menjamin validitas lokasi peserta. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi kuliah umum berbasis web yang mengintegrasikan pendaftaran peserta, presensi geolokasi, dan monitoring kehadiran dengan validasi jarak menggunakan algoritma Haversine dan Geofencing. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan rekayasa perangkat lunak deskriptif dengan model Waterfall melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem dikembangkan dengan ReactJS pada frontend, Express.js pada backend, dan MySQL sebagai basis data. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil menyatukan modul mahasiswa dan admin dalam satu alur: mahasiswa dapat melihat kegiatan, mendaftar, melakukan presensi berbasis lokasi, dan meninjau riwayat; admin dapat mengelola kegiatan, ruangan, sesi presensi, pengguna, serta monitoring kehadiran. Validasi lokasi menggunakan Haversine membedakan presensi valid dan tidak valid berdasarkan radius; pada uji TC-11, presensi dalam radius 50 m dengan jarak sekitar 19,59 m diterima sebagai hadir, sedangkan presensi di luar radius ditolak. Pengujian black-box terhadap 20 skenario menghasilkan 20 skenario berhasil (100%). Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada integrasi pendaftaran, konfigurasi radius, validasi Haversine-Geofencing, device token anti-titip absen, dan monitoring presensi dalam konteks kuliah umum non-rutin. Public lecture management in higher education often suffers from fragmented registration, manual attendance, and slow recapitulation because conventional processes cannot verify the physical presence of participants. This study aims to design a web-based public lecture information system integrating participant registration, geolocation-based attendance, and attendance monitoring using the Haversine algorithm and Geofencing for distance validation. The study adopted a descriptive software engineering approach with the Waterfall model, covering requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was implemented using ReactJS for the frontend, Express.js for the backend, and MySQL for data management. The findings show that the system integrates student and administrator workflows in a single platform: students can browse events, register, submit location-based attendance, and view participation history, while administrators can manage events, rooms, attendance sessions, users, and monitoring dashboards. The Haversine-based validation successfully distinguished valid and invalid attendance according to the configured radius; in test case TC-11, an attendance attempt within a 50 m radius at approximately 19.59 m was accepted, whereas out-of-radius attempts were rejected. Black-box testing across 20 scenarios resulted in 20 successful scenarios (100%). The novelty lies in integrating registration, configurable attendance radius, Haversine-Geofencing validation, anti-proxy attendance through device tokens, and real-time monitoring for non-routine academic public lectures.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has driven significant transformation in document management across various institutions, including corporations. This study aims to develop a web-based technical document repository system for the Site Engineering Unit at PT Semen Padang to address the limitations of manual management and improve efficiency in document retrieval and security. The method employed is software development using the Agile approach, encompassing planning, system design with Unified Modeling Language (UML), system development using the Vue.js and Laravel frameworks, testing through the BlackBox method, and implementation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results indicate that the system successfully modeled actor interactions through UML and passed functional testing. All core features, such as login, document management, role settings, audit trail, and document search—operated effectively without errors. The study concludes that the implementation of a web-based technical document repository system significantly enhances operational efficiency, accelerates retrieval processes, and strengthens document management security within the Site Engineering Unit at PT Semen Padang. The research also recommends further exploration of artificial intelligence integration to optimize system functionality in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to create and implement STEAM-based Augmented Reality (AR) learning media for the class XI robotics systems curriculum at SMK N 1 West Sumatra. The research follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. Participants included class XI students and robotics systems teachers. Data collection methods comprised questionnaires and interviews, with descriptive data analysis employed to assess the validity and practicality of the developed learning media. The findings indicate that the STEAM-based AR learning media is effective. According to media expert validation, the average score was 0.88 (≥ 0.66), categorizing it as valid. Material expert validation yielded an average score of 0.85 (≥ 0.66), also marking it as valid. The practicality assessment showed that teacher responses averaged 90.14%, and student responses averaged 92.03%, both rated as very practical. Consequently, the STEAM-based AR learning media is considered suitable for class XI robotics systems at SMK N 1 West Sumatra, based on the validity and practicality tests
