Abstract

In the context of the Islamic capital market, investment decisions must take into account compliance with Sharia principles, such as the prohibition of riba (interest), gharar (excessive uncertainty), and maysir (gambling), as well as the requirement to invest in halal sectors. These principles are implemented through a Sharia screening mechanism that involves an assessment of the business sector, leverage ratio, and the company’s financial ratios. This study aims to analyze the influence of these three aspects of Sharia screening on corporate investment decisions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research method, data were collected from various secondary sources such as academic journals, DSN-MUI fatwas, and publications from OJK and IDX.The analysis was conducted descriptively to understand the relationship between the Sharia screening aspects and the investment preferences of Sharia-compliant investors. The results indicate that the business sector is the dominant factor in the consideration of Sharia investors, followed by leverage and financial ratios. Therefore, a deep understanding of the Sharia screening mechanism is essentialnot only for investors but also for issuers and regulators in fostering the development of an inclusive capital market based on Islamic principles

Abstract

Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) is a vital instrument in environmental management in Indonesia. Regulated by law, AMDAL functions as an early prevention against negative impacts of development. The development of regulations, from PP No. 29 of 1986 to PP No. 27 of 2012, shows the government's commitment to adjusting policies to the dynamics of development and environmental protection. AMDAL is not only a legal requirement, but also a tool to support government decision-making involving community participation. AMDAL ensures sustainable development by considering social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. Its success depends on proper preparation, implementation of continuous mitigation, and consistent monitoring. Therefore, AMDAL is a crucial environmental risk management tool for responsible and sustainable development in Indonesia. Effective implementation of AMDAL requires commitment from all parties.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including family consumption patterns. After the implementation of restrictions and the transition toward a new normal order, society began to show adaptation in consumption habits that differ from pre-pandemic times. This study aims to deeply examine changes in family consumption patterns in the post-pandemic era using a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with 15 respondents from diverse social and economic backgrounds, supported by observation and document analysis. Findings indicate that digitization is a key factor in transforming consumption patterns, with an increase in the use of online platforms such as shopping apps and telehealth services. In addition, changes in time structure due to work-from-home policies have influenced the frequency and types of goods consumed, especially in fulfilling basic needs. Although some government policies have had a positive impact on purchasing power, their implementation has not been fully effective for all segments of society. The role of social media has also become increasingly prominent in shaping consumption preferences, particularly among younger generations. This study concludes that the changes in consumption patterns after the pandemic are not merely temporary but tend to be part of a new lifestyle that is more selective, efficient, and oriented toward health and technology. Therefore, this research provides an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of household consumption behavior in the new normal era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze government support for the viability of Islamic economy-based MSMEs in East Java and identify challenges faced in implementing sharia-based policies. The method used is descriptive qualitative with literature review techniques, where data is collected from various sources such as journals, books, research reports, and related policy documents. The analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify patterns, trends, and the impact of policies on the development of Islamic economy-based MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that government support plays an important role in improving the business viability of Islamic economy-based MSMEs, particularly through sharia-based policies, interest-free financial facilities, and empowerment programs aligned with Islamic economic principles. However, policy implementation still faces various challenges, such as a lack of understanding of Islamic economics among business actors and regulatory challenges that need to be aligned with sharia principles. Additionally, this study highlights how Islamic economy-based MSMEs can leverage government support to enhance their competitiveness and business sustainability. Thus, this research contributes to understanding the interplay between government policies, business viability, and the development of Islamic economics at the regional level.

Abstract

Waqf is one of the pillars of the Islamic economic system that plays an important role in creating social welfare and empowering the community. Despite its great potential, the practice of managing waqf assets in Indonesia tends to be conventional and less productive, with limited utilization in places of worship such as mosques and madrasas. The concept of productive waqf is present as an innovative alternative that allows waqf assets to be managed more dynamically for value-added economic activities. Through this approach, waqf assets not only maintain spiritual value, but also contribute to improving the economic welfare of the community more broadly and sustainably. This study aims to examine the urgency of implementing productive waqf in optimizing waqf assets, while identifying various challenges and opportunities in its implementation. In implementing this research, a literature review method with a qualitative approach was used. The results of the study indicate that productive waqf has a large capacity in driving the economic sector of the community, as long as it is supported by a professional, transparent, and accountable management system. With proper governance, productive waqf can be a strategic instrument in the development of an inclusive and equitable Islamic economy.

Abstract

Transportation is a vital need to support community activities, but not all areas have access to adequate public transportation. This study aims to analyze sharia management strategies to ensure the feasibility of an alternative transportation business, Busmini, managed by a husband and wife in Labang District. The approach used was a qualitative case study method, through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that this business applies sharia-based management principles such as mudharabah and ijarah, emphasizing the values of trust, honesty, and social responsibility. The feasibility of the business is evident in its simple financial recording system, informal profit-sharing model, and tangible contribution to the local economy through the provision of jobs and affordable transportation services. The implemented management strategies not only ensure business sustainability but also reflect the integration of Islamic values and micro-business practices. This research is expected to serve as a reference for MSMEs in developing businesses oriented towards blessings and welfare.

Abstract

This study examines in depth the application of Sharia business ethics principles in the feasibility study of the Kripik Tette business in Branta Tinggi Village, Pamekasan Regency. As a local small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), Kripik Tette not only has significant economic potential but also holds strong cultural values in Madurese society. Sharia business ethics, rooted in universal values such as honesty, justice, trustworthiness, and social responsibility, serve as a crucial foundation for building a business that does not solely pursue profit but also prioritizes economic, social, and spiritual sustainability. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing direct observation of business activities. The research findings indicate that Sharia business ethics principles have been effectively applied across various operational aspects of the business, including fair labor relations, the use of safe and high-quality raw materials, and community involvement in the production process. The implementation of these ethics has significantly enhanced consumer trust, empowered local communities, supported the well-being of cassava farmers, and fostered a healthy and harmonious business ecosystem. However, this study also identified challenges in maintaining the consistency of ethical practices, particularly related to market fluctuations and the understanding of Sharia ethics among other business actors. Collaborative and sustained efforts are needed between business actors, the community, the government, and academics to strengthen the understanding and implementation of Sharia values in the business world, in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the oil and gas industry on socio-economic inequality in the market aspect of Bojonegoro Regency from the perspective of Islamic economics. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the research was conducted in areas surrounding oil and gas exploitation sites, employing data collection methods such as observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the oil and gas industry has transformed the local market structure into an oligopolistic system, where large-capital business actors dominate the trade and service sectors, leading to economic exclusion of micro and small enterprises. Additionally, the surge in goods and service prices has increased the cost of living without being balanced by equitable income distribution among the local community. A simple linear regression analysis shows a significant but weak relationship between the presence of the oil and gas industry and the increase in local community income (R² = 0.28). From the perspective of Islamic economics, this condition contradicts the principles of distributive justice (al- ‘adl) and public welfare (maslahah). Therefore, affirmative policies from local governments and more equitable and sustainable corporate social responsibility programs by oil and gas companies are needed to realize socio-economic balance in oil and gas-producing regions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of Islamic contracts (akad) that are relevant to affiliate marketing practices on the TikTok platform and to examine their compliance with the principles of Islamic commercial jurisprudence (muamalah). Affiliate marketing represents a digital marketing strategy that involves collaboration between content creators (affiliators), product owners, and consumers through social media platforms. From the perspective of Islamic law, this practice can be examined through three primary types of contracts: samsarah (intermediation), ju‘ālah (reward-based contract), and wakālah bil ujrah (agency with compensation). Each of these contracts possesses a legitimate legal basis and aligns with sharia principles. This research adopts a qualitative method with a literature review approach, by analyzing various academic sources such as scholarly journals, books, and authoritative documents relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that the TikTok affiliate system can be implemented in accordance with sharia, provided it fulfills the essential elements and conditions of valid contracts and remains free from prohibited elements such as gharar (uncertainty), riba (usury), and dharar (harm). These results affirm that the integration of Islamic economic values within digital marketing practices enables the formation of fair, transparent, and ethically sound transactions. Furthermore, it demonstrates the relevance and adaptability of Islamic commercial law in addressing the challenges of the modern digital economy.
