Abstract

Research and development of AKSARA: interactive digital pocketbooks, focusing on the development of a mobile application based on ethics of politeness and academic corruption, introduced as a form of early learning for Brawijaya University students. This research method was a mixed-method type. The development of digital pocketbooks was using a Recursive, Reflective, Design and Development model or can be abbreviated as R2D2. In the development of digital pocketbooks, the focus was on the three development focuses of R2D2, namely (1) Focus on determination; (2) Focus on developing product design, as well as its trials, and; (3) Focus on dissemination in accordance with the context of the development’s environment and needs. The results from the research and development process was a pocketbook app using mobile platform, which makes the product more ubiquitous. Applying the concept of gamification, this application has several interesting functions that stimulate user interaction. AKSARA provides ethics of politeness and academic corruption materials which are divided into systematic chapters and subchapters, each of them contains a quiz to measure user's understanding of the material. The correctness of answers and speed in answering the question determined the points received by users which can decide the user’s level and its ranking in the leaderboard. Users can also share their profiles in social media such as Instagram and Facebook.

Abstract

One of the units of the company which is engaged in electricity handles many electrical large projects. The current condition of recording project activities that is still done manually and is not centralized has become difficulties in searching for data when needed. Job targets that also cannot be monitored create difficulties in management. Therefore, an effective and efficient monitoring information system for recording project activities is required so as to facilitate the management of monitoring data projects and data retrieval. The system development process using the prototyping method is implemented on a website basis by utilizing the Kanban system in managing work items. The Trello API is used to retrieve project data along with the use of the Kanban system in Trello to maintain data security which can only be managed by the project manager. System development is carried out through the stages of problem identification, literature study, needs analysis, design with Unified Modeling Language, and implementation using Laravel as a framework. Functional testing of the system with Blackbox testing gets 100% indicating the system is in accordance with the requirements specifications. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale gets a value of 84 in the acceptable system category. Responsive testing is conducted with the results of the interface meets various screen sizes and orientations. The compatibility testing implementation shows the system works well with various browsers.

Abstract

Tingginya masalah pemborosan listrik di Indonesia yang menjadi budaya buruk masyarakat. Maka dapat dihadirkan suatu solusi yaitu aplikasi berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence dan Machine Learning yang dapat menganalisis pemborosan dan memudahkan manajemen perangkat listrik. Dalam perancangan aplikasi myECO menggunakan metode Design Thinking dan Lean Startup yang setiap metodenya dibagi dalam beberapa tahapan diantaranya untuk metode Design Thinking untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna, merangkum kebutuhan dari pengguna, dan untuk merancang ide solusi dari masalah. Selanjutnya untuk metode Lean Startup diantaranya terdapat Build Prototype dimana untuk membuat dan mengembangkan produk sederhana atau MVP (Minimum Viable Product), Test and Measure untuk mengamati dan mengukur feedback yang diberikan oleh pengguna saat mencoba menggunakan MVP guna melakukan validasi solusi. Dalam mengembangkan aplikasi yang memiliki pengalaman pengguna yang baik dan desain yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan user maka aplikasi myECO melakukan pengujian menggunakan 2 metode yaitu usability test dan UEQ test. Dimana pada metode usability test menggunakan alat ukur maze design dengan hasil menunjukan bahwa pada 42 responden, terdapat 38 responden direct success dan 4 responden indirect success. Selanjutnya, untuk UEQ test dilakukan melalui metode open source dan tools excel yang disediakan pada website resmi UEQ dengan hasil menunjukan bahwa pada scale stimulasi dan kebaruan memiliki perbandingan tolok ukur good, pada scale daya tarik, kejelasan, dan ketepatan memiliki perbandingan tolok ukur above average, serta yang terakhir pada scale ketepatan memiliki perbandingan tolok ukur below average. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menekan angka pemborosan penggunaan listrik dan tingginya biaya tanggungan listrik yang harus dibayarkan.   Abstract The high problem of wasting electricity in Indonesia has become a bad culture for society. Then a solution can be presented, namely an application based on the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning that can analyze waste and facilitate the management of electrical devices. In designing the myECO application using the Design Thinking and Lean Startup methods, each method is divided into several stages including the Design Thinking method to understand user needs, summarize the needs of users, and to design ideas for solutions to problems. Furthermore, for the Lean Startup method, there is a Build Prototype where to create and develop a simple product or MVP (Minimum Viable Product), Test and Measure to observe and measure the feedback given by users when trying to use MVP to validate solutions. In developing applications that have good user experience and designs that suit user needs, the myECO application tests using 2 methods, namely the usability test and the UEQ test. Where in the usability test method using a maze design measuring instrument with the results showing that of the 42 respondents there were 38 direct success respondents and 4 indirect success respondents. Furthermore, the UEQ test was carried out using the open source method and excel tools provided on the official UEQ website with the results showing that on the stimulation and novelty scales it has a good comparison of benchmarks, on the scale of attractiveness, clarity and accuracy it has a comparison of the benchmarks above average, as well as the last on the precision scale having below average benchmark comparisons. With this application, it is hoped that it can reduce the waste of electricity usage and the high responsibility for electricity costs which must be limited.

Abstract

Esai ini adalah ringkasan dari sebuah diskusi yang membahas mengenai sejauh apa manfaat bantuan kuota internet untuk pendidikan yang dilakukan pada tanggal 16 november 2020 dengan total sepuluh peserta. Peserta mewakili beberapa golongan dari penerima pemberian bantuan kuota internet yaitu dosen & guru, mahasiswa dan siswa, dan orang tua siswa. Diskusi tersebut menghasilkan tiga hal terkait area penelitian, saran untuk pendidik dan institusi pendidikan, dan desain sosialisasi bantuan. Area penelitian tersebut adalah proses pembelajaran jarak jauh yang terjadi di Indonesia, perilaku pelajar terhadap teknologi, kondisi pendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh, dan kepentingan berkaitan dengan akses kuota internet yang perlu dibatasi atau tidak, dan bagaimana pembatasannya jika bantuan tersebut perlu dibatasi. Selain itu, dikumpulkan juga saran-saran yang dapat dilakukan pendidik dan institusi pendidikan yaitu: mengetahui kondisi siswa, mendesain proses belajar mengajar sesuai dengan kondisi siswa, dan khusus untuk anak yang belum dewasa dibutuhkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendesain pembelajaran. Satu hal yang tampak terlihat disorot oleh peserta diskusi adalah kekurangtahuan peserta diskusi mengenai adanya informasi yang lengkap mengenai bantuan kuota internet untuk pendidikan.

Abstract

Surabaya Pagi merupakan media massa yang menyajikan pemberitaan dan memiliki media online berupa website bernama Surabayapagi.com. Situs web tersebut memiliki beberapa permasalahan terkait antarmuka pengguna diantaranya penataan halaman utama yang kurang baik, ukuran gambar tidak konsisten, warna judul kategori tidak konsisten, peletakan iklan mengganggu, fitur pencarian tidak nyaman digunakan karena berbentuk pop-up, beberapa berita pada halaman utama tidak terupdate serta adanya beberapa tautan tidak tersedia dan diarahkan ke halaman kosong. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan nilai usability situs web Surabayapagi.com menggunakan metode WEBUSE yang terdiri dari 4 kategori diantaranya Content, Organisation and Readability, Navigation and Links, User Interface Design dan Performance and Effectiveness. Dari hasil evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner WEBUSE tersebut, ditemukan 8 permasalahan terkait usability situs web Surabayapagi.com. Perbaikan antarmuka pengguna dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD) yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan meliputi menentukan konteks pengguna, spesifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, merancang desain solusi, dan mengevaluasi desain solusi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa dengan melakukan perbaikan antarmuka pengguna dari situs web Surabayapagi.com dapat meningkatkan nilai usability yang berarti pengguna merasa lebih nyaman menggunakan desain solusi. Evaluasi WEBUSE pada kategori Content, Organisation and Readability nilai usability mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,07 poin. Kategori Navigation and Links nilai usability mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,12 poin. Kategori User Interface Design nilai usability mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,13 poin. Sedangkan kategori Performance and Effectiveness nilai usability mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,11 poin.

Abstract

Website Resmi Pemerintah Kota Surakarta merupakan portal layanan resmi milik Pemerintah Kota Surakarta sebagai salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi dan layanan berbasis online yang diperlukan bagi masyarakat. Evaluasi website tersebut dilakukan oleh OPD (Organisasi Perangkat Daerah) setiap 6 bulan dan oleh perwakilan masyarakat Kota Surakarta melalui Musyawarah Kelurahan Membangun setiap 1 tahun. Namun, hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan kepada 3 masyarakat Kota Surakarta menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat permasalahan usability pada website resmi Pemerintah Kota Surakarta. Untuk dapat mengidentifikasi permasalahan usability lainnya, maka penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode heuristic evaluation dengan melibatkan 4 expert evaluator pada bidang user interface. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan terdapat 21 poin permasalahan yang terdiri dari 4 poin cosmetic issue, 3 poin minor issue, 3 poin major issue, dan 11 poin usability catastrophe. Dari permasalahan yang telah ditemukan, maka dilakukan analisis dan penyusunan rekomendasi perbaikan berupa desain visual antarmuka pengguna sebagai solusi permasalahan yang telah diidentifikasi oleh expert evaluator. Rekomendasi perbaikan desain visual antarmuka yang dibuat dapat menjadi solusi 19 poin permasalahan dari 21 poin permasalahan yang telah diidentifikasi. Terdapat 2 poin permasalahan yang tidak dicantumkan dalam rekomendasi perbaikan desain antarmuka karena permasalahanpermasalahan tersebut tidak dapat disolusikan dengan dibuatnya rancangan perbaikan desain visual antarmuka pengguna.

Abstract

Information service systems are often developed using web service architectures based on Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). There are various API technologies available, each offering different performance levels. NodeJS and PHP have specific frameworks for backend development, namely NestJS and Lumen. This study focuses on comparing the performance of these applications from the perspective of response time, CPU, and memory usage. The method involves testing 8 services created using each technology. This research provides a comparative analysis showing that there is no significant difference in response time between the two technologies, with only a 40ms or 0.04-second difference. In other aspects, differences were found between the two technologies in terms of CPU usage, with a 6% difference, and memory usage, with a 1% difference. NestJS demonstrated better efficiency in CPU and memory usage compared to Lumen, based on average calculations.

Abstract

Shrimp cultivation in Indonesia has been increasing since the introduction of white leg shrimp or often known as vaname (Penaeus vannamei) from the South Pacific waters. The use of a cultivation model with a circular pond with a diameter of 10 meters has begun to attract shrimp farmers in the northern coastal areas of Java, including Tuban Regency. There are several water quality parameters that affects survival rate such as Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Temperature, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Shrimp pond farmers in Tuban Regency have used digital measuring tools to monitor the environmental conditions. However, these measurements cannot be carried out continuously for 24 hours. This often causes delays in identifying problems that occur in ponds and eventually impacts on reducing biomass weight, resulting in not achieving harvest targets. In this study, a continuous monitoring system for water quality management was designed and implemented. The system consists of an IoT-based water quality monitoring device combined with a Shrimp Aquaculture Management Information System. Based on the system that has been built, it is found that the system has been able to acquire all sensor parameters and send them to the server. The results of calibration and prediction using linear regression show that the average data reading error is achieving 14% for DO sensors, and 1% each for temperature and TDS sensors. The aggregated data is presented in tabular and graphic formats so that daily monitoring and predictions can be carried out in ponds.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze user perceptions of Quality in Use of the Khan Academy e-learning platform, focusing on two key characteristics defined in the ISO/IEC 25010 standard: satisfaction and efficiency. Based on the analysis of user review data, there is a clear difference in volume between the two aspects: 539 reviews (65%) reflected the satisfaction aspect, while only 290 reviews (35%) were related to efficiency. This indicates that users are approximately 1.86 times more likely to comment on satisfaction than on efficiency. For satisfaction, most of reviews were positive (420 reviews, or 77.9%), while 119 reviews (22.1%) expressed negative sentiments. These results suggest that most users are satisfied with their experience using Khan Academy, particularly due to factors such as flexible access time, user convenience, and the wide availability of learning materials. In contrast, the efficiency- related reviews exhibited a more even distribution, with 154 positive reviews (53.1%) and 136 negative reviews (46.9%). This closer balance indicates that while some users appreciate the platform's performance, others report encountering technical issues, including slow access speeds, navigation difficulties, and system instability. Overall, user perception of the Khan Academy e-learning system is generally positive, especially regarding satisfaction. However, the findings also underscore the importance of addressing technical performance challenges to improve efficiency and ensure a seamless learning experience. These insights provide a valuable basis for the development of user-centered e-learning systems and contribute to the evaluation of system quality from the Quality in Use perspective.

Abstract

Keamanan informasi merupakan aspek krusial dalam pengelolaan sistem informasi, terutama di instansi pemerintahan seperti Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (DISKOMINFO) Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang mengelola aset penting berupa data center dan website layanan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi serta menganalisis risiko keamanan informasi menggunakan pendekatan ISO/IEC 27005, dan memberikan rekomendasi mitigasi risiko berdasarkan kontrol dalam ISO/IEC 27002. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi wawancara dan analisis. Dari hasil identifikasi diperoleh 19 aset hardware dengan 11 aset menjadi prioritas utama dan 43 aset software dengan 7 aset website menjadi prioritas utama. Analisis terhadap 23 risiko menunjukkan 21 risiko tingkat high dan 2 risiko tingkat very high. Rekomendasi mitigasi yang diberikan mengacu pada delapan kontrol ISO/IEC 27002:2022, yaitu Physical Security Monitoring, Equipment Maintenance, Protection from Environmental Threats, Monitoring Activities, Redundancy of Information Processing Facilities, Physical Entry, Logging, dan Compliance With Policies, Rules, And Standards For Information Security. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan dalam pengembangan kebijakan keamanan informasi serta mendukung proses sertifikasi ISO/IEC 27001:2022 yang direncanakan oleh DISKOMINFO Kabupaten Sidoarjo.
