Abstract

This study analyzes market reactions to the announcement of the Danantara Holding in conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using an event study methodology. Amidst the resilience of the Indonesian capital market in 2024 (IHSG: 7,036.57), the Danantara announcement on February 24, 2025, raises questions about the market's efficiency in absorbing structural policy information. The study aimed to examine the differences in Abnormal Return (AR) and Trading Volume Activity (TVA) before and after the announcement. This descriptive quantitative study used purposive sampling of 50 conventional banks, resulting in 12 samples (168 observations). Secondary data from the IDX, Yahoo Finance, and Investing.com were analyzed using a market-adjusted model, normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov/Shapiro-Wilk), and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test using SPSS. The results show that the difference in AR is not significant (Sig. 0.827 > 0.05; mean: 0.0036 to -0.0005) but the increase in TVA is significantly positive (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05; mean: 0.0010 to 0.0016), rejecting both hypotheses. The findings confirm semi-strong market efficiency where structural policy information has been anticipated, consistent with the EMH and signaling theory.

Abstract

Background: Character education is a fundamental component of formal education, particularly in addressing moral and social challenges among students in contemporary society. Specific background: Literary texts grounded in local culture provide concrete representations of character values through narratives, traditions, and social interactions, as reflected in the novel Sanggarguri by Lalu Agus Fathurrahman. Knowledge gap: Previous studies on Sanggarguri have largely emphasized cultural and symbolic dimensions, while systematic analysis of character education values in relation to high school literature learning remains limited. Aims: This study aims to identify character education values embedded in the novel Sanggarguri and to describe their use within high school literature learning. Results: The analysis reveals five dominant values: respect, responsibility, tolerance, cooperation, and courage, manifested through characters’ attitudes, cultural rituals, and moral decision-making. Novelty: This study positions Sanggarguri as a local literary text that integrates Sasak cultural wisdom with character education values. Implications: The findings support the use of local novels as contextual teaching materials for high school literature learning, particularly in developing moral awareness, empathy, and cultural understanding in line with curriculum objectives. Highlights Identification of five core character education values in Sanggarguri. Representation of Sasak local wisdom through literary narratives and traditions. Suitability of the novel for high school literature learning contexts. Keywords Character Education, Novel Sanggarguri, Sasak Culture, High School Literature Learning, Local Wisdom

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial self-efficacy and peer influence on Gen Z financial asset investment decisions in Mataram and Surabaya, with risk tolerance as a moderating variable, amidst low financial literacy (38%) and the dominance of young investors. The objective is to analyze causal relationships and cross-regional comparisons. Using a comparative explanatory quantitative approach with PLS-SEM, the Gen Z investor population (17-28 years old) was purposively snowball-sampled (260 respondents). The 5-point Likert questionnaire instrument was analyzed via SmartPLS (outer/inner model, MRA, PLS-MGA). The results show that financial self-efficacy has a significant effect (t=8.914, p=0.000), peer influence is weakly significant (t=1.896, p=0.029), but risk tolerance does not moderate (p>0.05); the model explains 66.9% of the variation. Conclusion: Strengthening self-efficacy for rational Gen Z decisions across regions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload on employee performance, to examine the effect of work environment on employee performance, and to examine the effect of work stress on employee performance. The sample in this study was 56 employees of Bank BPD DIY Piyungan Branch Office, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results of the study found that workload has a negative effect on employee performance, indicating that excessive workload reduces employees' ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, the work environment has a positive effect on employee performance, suggesting that a comfortable, supportive, and safe workplace enhances employee motivation, satisfaction, and productivity. In addition, work stress has a negative effect on employee performance, meaning that high levels of stress experienced by employees lead to decreased concentration, fatigue, and lower quality of work output. These findings highlight the importance of managing workload appropriately, creating a conducive work environment, and implementing stress management programs to maintain and improve employee performance. The study contributes to the understanding of how organizational factors influence employee outcomes and provides practical implications for bank management to optimize human resource practices. Future research is recommended to explore additional variables and expand the sample to other banking institutions for broader generalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of the Altman Z-Score, Springate, Zmijewski, and Grover models in predicting potential bankruptcy in companies within the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive–comparative design. The sample consists of five companies selected through purposive sampling from a population of 83 companies. The data used are secondary data in the form of annual financial reports obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results indicate differences in the level of predictive accuracy among the four models tested. The Springate model shows the highest statistical accuracy level of 100%, followed by the Altman Z-Score model at 84%, the Grover model at 60%, and the Zmijewski model at 32%. However, based on the threshold value approach, the Zmijewski model is considered the most representative in describing the actual financial condition of companies because its calculated value is closest to the equilibrium point between healthy conditions and potential bankruptcy. The analysis also reveals that PT Andira Agro Tbk and PT Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk have relatively higher bankruptcy risk, while PT Sentra Food Indonesia Tbk demonstrates better prospects for business sustainability.
