Abstract

Meltdown in children with autism refers to a condition in which the child loses emotional control due to sensory overload, changes in routine, or difficulty expressing needs. This phenomenon frequently occurs in special education settings, including at SLB Negeri 1 Bulukumba, particularly among children aged 5–8 years. This study aims to describe the strategies used by teachers to manage meltdowns and identify factors that influence their effectiveness. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The participants consisted of one classroom teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis over two days (9–10 November 2024), and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The findings reveal three main strategies: preventive strategies, including building emotional rapport, adjusting learning activities to students' interests, and strengthening routines; intervention strategies, involving maintaining a calm atmosphere, reducing stimulation, and providing safe physical contact; and post-meltdown recovery strategies, including allowing emotional cooldown time, assigning light activities, and evaluating triggers to adjust individual learning plans. The effectiveness of these strategies is shaped by classroom conditions, overstimulation risks, available facilities, and communication with parents. This study highlights the importance of empathetic, flexible, and context-sensitive approaches in supporting emotional regulation for children with autism in special education settings.

Abstract

Ensuring electricity supply in post-disaster rural areas represents a critical challenge due to damage to the main distribution infrastructure. This article analyzes the potential and provides technical recommendations for implementing renewable-energy-based microgrids as a solution to enhance energy resilience in post-disaster villages. The study identifies the availability of local renewable energy resources (such as solar, micro-hydro, and biomass), assesses community energy demand, and evaluates the technical and operational feasibility of a microgrid system. The results indicate that integrating renewable energy within a microgrid configuration can deliver a more autonomous, flexible, and adaptive energy supply during emergency conditions. Furthermore, technical recommendations related to system design, management models, and implementation strategies are formulated to support the long-term sustainability of microgrid operations. In conclusion, renewable-energy-based microgrid deployment offers strategic potential for strengthening village-level energy resilience in post-disaster contexts while simultaneously promoting a broader transition toward sustainable energy systems.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a real-time notification system for the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) Trans Koetaradja application managed by the Aceh Department of Transportation, focusing on improving user responsiveness and reliability. Observations revealed that the existing notification feature was ineffective—it only functioned when the application was open, failed to operate in the background, and did not personalize information based on user location. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied using the User Centered Design (UCD) method to create a system that adapts to user needs through stages of requirement analysis, prototype design, and user evaluation. Based on questionnaires distributed to thirty respondents, 87% expected automatic notifications when the bus approached their stop, while 73% wanted customizable alerts based on routes and preferred schedules. The prototype, developed with Adobe XD, includes location-based notifications, adjustable reminders, and clearer visual indicators. Evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) resulted in an average score of 81.2, categorized as Excellent, with 90% of users expressing satisfaction with the improved system. The findings demonstrate that applying UCD effectively enhances notification speed, accuracy, and relevance, while strengthening public trust in digital-based transportation services in Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Coretax implementation as a digital tax administration system in improving the quality of tax services and taxpayer compliance in Indonesia. The research employs a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used are secondary data obtained from scientific journals, official government reports, and publications from relevant international institutions. Data were collected through academic search engines such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and the official portal of the Directorate General of Taxes. The analysis technique was conducted by reviewing, comparing, and synthesizing various previous studies related to the digitalization of tax administration and the implementation of Coretax.
