Abstract

Over the last few years, the researchers and practitioners have acknowledged the potential benefits attained from collaborative writing activity which was based on the well- known theories of social constructivist and output hypothesis. Grounding from these theories, this study examined the collaborative writing combined with writing process approach to find out the effect of the task on students' ability in writing an explanation essay and students perception about the task. Two intact classes involving 30 students in each class participated in this study. One class as the experimental group completed the writing task using process writing in pairs while the other class completed the task individually. The students in experimental group were given a questionnaire right after the treatment to pool their views on the task. Post-test by administering the writing test was conducted to see the effect of the treatment. Data analysis revealed that students employing collaborative writing using process writing had better writing ability than students working individually. It was also found that most students felt that they gained many benefits from doing collaborative writing. These findings suggested that collaborative writing combined with process writing can be implemented in EFL writing pedagogy to improve students' writing ability. HIGHLIGHTS 1. Collaborative writing has the positive effect on the overall writing ability and on each element of writing skill.2. Collaborative writing not only encouraged the students to share the knowledge they had to other members but also it gave them remarkable input they needed in improving thewriting skill.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of instructional media in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students at SD IT Bunayya. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. Sources of data obtained from class V teachers and students as research subjects. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the role of the learning environment has a very large influence on student learning motivation and the teacher's role in increasing student motivation, namely through an individual approach, special guidance and pleasure of learning so that students have good learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of instructional media in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students at SD IT Bunayya. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. Sources of data obtained from class V teachers and students as research subjects. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the proportion of pulp-albedo yellow kepok bananas and the concentration of sucrose on the characteristics of sliced jam. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and three replications. Data analysis used ANOVA followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% confidence level. The first factor was the proportion of pulp and albedo of yellow kepok bananas (1:2 (A1), 1:1 (A2), 2:1 (A3)). The second factor is the concentration of sucrose (30% (B1), 45% (B2), and 60% (B3)). Parameters observed included moisture content, ash content, pH, total sugar, water activity (aw), total dissolved solids, hardness, and organoleptic analysis, including taste, scent, color, and texture. The treatment results of the proportion pulp-albedo yellow kepok banana and the sucrose concentration significantly affected the water content, ash content, total sugar, total dissolved solids, hardness, and organoleptic tests. Sliced jam with the proportion of pulp-albedo yellow kepok banana (2:1) and sucrose concentration (60%) was the best treatment with 44.16% water content, 1.18% ash content, pH 4.03, total sugar 33, 21%, water activity 0.828, total dissolved solids 50, hardness 31.93N and the taste is quite typical of banana, quite smelly of banana, quite yellow in the color of banana, and has a firm texture.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the educational game Maze Angka (APE Maze Angka) in enhancing critical thinking skills among children aged 4-5 years at TK Indriyasan, Sleman. The underlying issue of this research is the importance of teaching methods that support critical thinking skills in early childhood education, particularly in addressing the challenges of 21st-century education. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of 15 children selected purposively. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity tests, and t-tests with the assistance of SPSS 25 software. The findings revealed a significant improvement in children's critical thinking skills after the intervention using Maze Angka, with the average pretest score increasing from 26.0 to 33.85 in the posttest. The instruments used were proven valid (r-calculated > r-table = 0.444) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.831). The research data also met statistical assumptions, with normality and homogeneity tests showing significance values > 0.05. The t-test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = -16.081, p = 0.000). These findings demonstrate that Maze Angka is an effective learning strategy to support cognitive development in early childhood. The game stimulates critical thinking skills through exploratory activities and problem-solving. Therefore, Maze Angka is recommended as an innovative learning medium for early childhood education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam manfaat dan tantangan penggunaan tools parafrase berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam dunia kepenulisan, khususnya dalam konteks akademik seta sikap mahasiswa terhadap etika penggunaan teknologi AI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi terstruktur kepada lima mahasiswa dari program studi magister Pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tools parafrase AI, seperti QuillBot dan ChatGPT, dianggap sangat membantu dalam mempercepat proses penulisan, meningkatkan variasi bahasa, serta mempermudah pemahaman teks. Namun demikian, terdapat sejumlah tantangan signifikan, antara lain distorsi makna dalam hasil parafrase, ketidaksesuaian gaya bahasa dengan konteks tulisan, keterbatasan pemrosesan bahasa lokal (seperti bahasa Indonesia), serta risiko plagiarisme terselubung. Selain itu, muncul pula kekhawatiran mengenai ketergantungan berlebihan terhadap teknologi, yang dapat menghambat pengembangan keterampilan menulis dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun tools parafrase berbasis AI menawarkan efisiensi dan kemudahan, penggunaannya memerlukan pemahaman etis, literasi digital yang memadai, serta kebijakan institusional yang jelas agar manfaatnya dapat dioptimalkan tanpa mengorbankan integritas akademik.

Abstract

Field practicum held by students of Gnggusuwaru University, Biology Education Study Program, on Sarae Me'e Beach with the aim of clarifying invertebrate animals. There are several animal phyla that we found, namely the cnidaria phylum and the echinoderm phylum, which live on rocks at a distance of 3.95 meters from sea water. The arthropod phylum lives in sea water at a depth of 1.5 meters from the sea surface. The mollusk phylum lives on land at a distance of 15 meters from sea water.

Abstract

Anemia meningkatkan resiko terjadinya abortus, , kelahiran premature, Perdarahan dan lain  sebagainya.  Prevalensi anemia pada ibu hamil di Indonesia sebesar48,9%. Untuk menurunkan Angka Kejadian Anemia pada ibu hamil salah upaya non farmakologi adalah dengan mengonsumsi minuman daun kelor yang memiliki kandungan Zat Besi sangat tinggi Tujuan pengabdian masyarakati ini adalah untuk optimalisasi pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang pemanfaat minuman daun kelor untuk menurunkan anemia. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan tentang anemia kehamilan dengan memberikan Pre Tes sebelum diberikan penyuluhan dan post tes sesudah diberikan penyuluhan. Kemudian melakukan demosntrasi pembuatan Minuman daun Kelor Madu dan langsung dibagikan untuk diminum oleh Ibu Hamil. Penyuluhan ini dilakukan di Posyandu Anggrek Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Samkai Kabupaten Merauke yang dikuti oleh 15 ibu hamil. Hasil penyuluhan sebelum diberikan penyuluhan sebanyak 4 ibu hamil (27%) dengan pengetahuan Baik dan setelah kegiatan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan menjadi 12 ibu hamil (80%) dengan pengetahuan baik. Diharapkan lebih menekannkan pencegahan anemia dengan memanfaatkan kekayaan alam disekitar kita

Abstract

Sistem penilaian dalam pertandingan pencak silat di tingkat kabupaten umumnya masih dilakukan secara manual, yang rentan terhadap kesalahan, ketidaksinkronan antar juri, serta rendahnya transparansi penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi scoring pencak silat berbasis web menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang efektif, efisien, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna. Metode RAD dipilih karena pendekatan iteratifnya yang memungkinkan kolaborasi aktif antara pengembang dan pengguna selama proses perancangan. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk tiga jenis pengguna utama: admin, juri, dan operator. Admin bertanggung jawab mengelola data peserta dan mencetak laporan pertandingan; juri memberikan penilaian teknik tanding melalui perangkat tablet secara real-time; dan operator menampilkan skor pertandingan ke layar proyektor. Hasil pengujian menggunakan metode black-box menunjukkan seluruh fitur berfungsi sesuai kebutuhan. Sementara itu, User Acceptance Test (UAT) menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna yang tinggi terhadap antarmuka sistem dan akurasi penilaian. Sistem ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas dalam proses penilaian pertandingan pencak silat, serta berpotensi diterapkan pada skala kejuaraan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using demonstration cards as an innovative medium in improving the ability to read the Qur'an in group A at RA Nurul Furqon Pasir Mulya, Bogor City. The background of this study is based on the importance of the skill of reading the Qur'an from an early age, where conventional methods are sometimes less interesting for children. Therefore, innovation is needed in learning so that students are more motivated and active. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle involves the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were students of group A RA Nurul Furqon Pasir Mulya, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the use of demonstration cards significantly increased students' interest and ability in reading the Qur'an. There was an increase in learning outcomes from the pre-cycle to cycle I, and increased again in cycle II. In addition, students seemed more enthusiastic and confident when participating in learning. In conclusion, demonstration cards have proven to be effective as an innovative medium in learning to read the Qur'an. The recommendation from this study is that teachers at RA Nurul Furqon and similar educational institutions adopt and develop creative learning media to improve the quality of Al-Qur'an learning for early childhood.
