Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Drill and Jigsaw method in improving student learning outcomes in the Fiqh Ibadah subject in grade 10 of Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatut Thullab, Siak Kecil, Bengkalis. The Drill method focuses on repetitive exercises to strengthen understanding of concepts and skills, while the Jigsaw method encourages collaborative learning by dividing materials into small groups that share information. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design, where the class is divided into an experimental group using the Drill and Jigsaw method and a control group using the conventional method. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that students who studied with a combination of the Drill and Jigsaw method experienced better improvements in understanding and skills than students who used the conventional method. In addition, this method also increases students' active participation in the learning process, as well as encouraging cooperation and communication skills. These findings indicate that the integration of the Drill and Jigsaw method can be an effective learning strategy in improving Fiqh Ibadah learning outcomes at the Madrasah Aliyah level.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) in Indonesia face significant challenges in enhancing their competitiveness, independence, and adaptation to global educational changes. PTKI must address the gap between the global education system and their limited internal capacity, such as limited funding, inadequate infrastructure, and a shortage of skilled human resources. This study aims to develop a comprehensive governance model for PTKI that integrates academic autonomy, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships to enhance their global competitiveness. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach with case studies. The results show that BLU status provides flexibility in resource management, but challenges remain in integrating Islamic values with the demands of educational modernization. This study concludes that PTKI must strengthen academic autonomy and seek sustainable financing models to achieve independence. The contribution of this research is to provide a strategic framework for the development of PTKI that balances tradition and modernity.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, PBL, Induksi Elektromagnetik ABSTRACT The research was motivated by the demands of 21st-century education, which requires students to implement conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in the real world. This demand is hampered by the material on electromagnetic induction, which students consider abstract and difficult. This Quasi Experimental study aims to assess student learning outcomes through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on electromagnetic induction material for high school students. This study uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design consisting of two groups, namely the experimental group that received the PBL model and the control group with a conventional learning model. Assessing learning outcomes in the application of PBL can be seen from the comparison of the average N-Gain value in the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that the average N-Gain value of the experimental group was greater than the average N-Gain value of the control group. This proves that the application of PBL can improve student learning outcomes, especially on electromagnetic induction material which is considered abstract and complicated. Abstract

This study is a descriptive quantitative research that aims to describe the percentage of students who understand, misunderstand (experience misconceptions), and do not understand the concepts in the topic of the kinetic theory of gases using a three-tier test. In addition, this study also aims to describe the factors that cause student misconceptions. A total of 17 students were clinically observed to obtain data regarding the causes of misconceptions. The results of the study show that the highest rate of student misconceptions occurred in the sub-concept of the gas law equation, amounting to 47.05%, while 41.17% of students understood the concept, and the remaining 11.76% did not understand the concept. The factors contributing to student misconceptions include a teacher-centered learning approach in high-performing schools, where teachers tend to use lecture-based or fast-paced instruction strategies to meet curriculum targets and academic competitions. This limits opportunities for students to independently construct their understanding or engage in exploratory discussions. Moreover, the absence of consistent learning resources results in teachers becoming the dominant and often sole source of information for students.

Abstract

This study analyzes the case of premeditated murder committed by Ferdy Sambo against Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadier J). The purpose of this research is to understand the motive, evidence, application of legal articles, and the verdict imposed from the perspective of Indonesian criminal law. The research method used is normative juridical, employing a statutory approach based on Article 340 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning premeditated murder, as well as Law No. 19 of 2016 on Electronic Information and Transactions. The results of the study indicate that this case represents a deliberately planned act of murder involving several parties, including elements of obstruction of justice in an attempt to cover up the crime. Evidence such as autopsy results, witness testimonies, and the confession of Bharada E strengthen the conclusion that the murder was premeditated. The South Jakarta District Court initially sentenced Ferdy Sambo to death, a decision upheld at the appellate level. However, at the cassation stage, the Supreme Court commuted the sentence to life imprisonment. This case reflects a crisis of integrity among law enforcement officials and serves as a representation of the application of justice and legal certainty within Indonesia’s criminal justice system.
